How did you misquote something that was right here to make your own meaning lmao. He said "I try to stay just ahead of my depression". As in, he knows it is looming over his shoulder and sometimes catches him. It is really quite dark, so is the following statement about his demons. It is funny when he says it, but he is very aware of his hateful thoughts and doubts, and feels like he has to make a conscious effort to better himself. Not the greatest way to live life, but he is aware at least and works on himself.

As he answered the question about whether or not he's political, and then talking about corporations in that answer, it made me realize Bill really is kinda his generation's Carlin. (And then I googled "Bill Burr George Carlin" because I was like, no way am I the first person to think this, and sure enough, there are plenty of columns and articles written with that as the thesis... so, I may not be original, but at least I'm not alone!)

There's something about this guy just taking time to heap praise at Bill Hader that was super wholesome and made me like Bill Burr even more.

Respect on the drummer bit he said. Sounds like he understands music pretty well and I bet he is better than he thinks. Just recognizes his weaknesses on the drums.

@@JimNortonsAlcoholism i get the impression he didnt say anything diff but that somehow his movement in the chair or something else may have damaged the mic in that small moment so they just touched up that small segment. Something to that effect, im guessing.
