Since this video was released, pablogd was tied by Demon(also 26.20) and beaten by raceta(26.19). It took raceta 9-10 months to grind it out. His first of the more "recent" improvements was 27th of May 2021 (26.25) His current record (26.19) was set 6 March 2022. (as of the 6th of June 2022)

The other somewhat controversial part is that at age five Pablo wanted to be a major league ballerina but his parents (whom where actually aliens) bought him a computer and in order to convince them that he liked the computer he had to play it every once in a while but since he truly hated it and wanted to become a ballerina he literally played as fast as humanly possible so he could hurry outside to pursue major league ballet. ty

I feel like part of what enables videos like these to be so compelling is the builtin cinematic replay features of trackmania. Most games dont make it so easy to make cool replays of runs like this

You’re so right, it’s a shame that most games require emulators for even a chance to track progress/attempts for all of one person’s speed runs. With TM, they can play 100 attempts and it’s all in their files at the click of a button, from multiple angles, usually scenic af. Almost everything else? I think that is what also makes Trackmania so compelling to try and try again, another reason why video's like this exist. I just started playing Trackmania 2020 literally yesterday after finding Wirtual's channel. Usually I dislike games where I have to try the same thing over and over, but with Trackmania it's so quick to restart and most maps are pretty short it doesn't feel like a chore and really gets you into that competitive spirit when you know you can go just that bit faster.

actually you're wrong, most games do have built-in "cinematic" replay features..... the fuck????????? most games have demo replays, with adjusting FOV features and much more. Not sure what games you're playing, but it's been a thing in most games since 2010. Mainly competitive games, obviously not single player.

I am so glad I discovered this channel. I hold two world record lap times on Reckless Racing 3. I downloaded it from the Google Play Store onto a GPD XD+ because I liked the graphics and drift mechanics. But I started playing it more and more, and once one of my lap times cracked the top 10 I can't explain the compulsion that overtook me to do better, keep playing and "find" time on the track to beat these times that seemed so unbeatable. No other game I ever played brought perfection hunting out of me to such a degree. And when I knew I was on a potential record setting lap, the adrenaline and nervousness was so incredibly hard to control. You do such a great job with these videos and breaking down the whole process of everything that goes through a player's head when they set a record... and then see it get beat.
