David Filoni is the only person at Lucasfilm who knows what the heck he's doing. I'm not against diversity and inclusion, but it needs to blend into the background, mesh with the SW Universe, and take a backseat to the storyline. It should never be the main narrative. Case in point, look at what happened to Willow. It focused almost entirely on a lesbian relationship and it drowned out the intended plot of the story. Basically killed the series and likely any chance of a revival.

It should just be there naturally in the background and not takeover the actual plot. Again, case in point, look how Disney butchered Willow. It focused more on two chicks doing it than the actual storyline. Now compare that to Ahsoka and The Mandalorian, two of my favorite series. Lots of DEI present but done in such a way that didn't detract from the actual storylines. There's a right way to do DEI and a wrong way to do it. That's why I give David Filoni a lot of credit for his work. He's figured it out. Again, reading comprehension is important if you wish to engage in a healthy discussion. It’s not about people hating it is about poor quality entertainment. Comments like ‘if you don’t watch it you are not a Star Wars fan’ are an attempt to bully and shame people into giving them viewing figures. I want to watch what I want to watch and relax and be entertained not educated and lectured. For me Star Wars died after revenge of the sith (rogue one was excellent though) and I have still stuck with it and supported it up till until around 18 months ago. It doesn’t mean I’m not a Star Wars fan it just means that I get to keep my memories of a franchise I love before they are completely destroyed .
