Well, in context it somewhat makes sense. He reversed his wish because he was overwhelmingly concerned about his son's safety. If you're a parent and you feel your child is in immediate danger, most people will drop what they are doing to try to save them. It's instinctual; and the script writer/director, thought the target audience of women would have that maternal instinct. Single men who love comic book movies and attractive brunettes with no kids, would not understand this instinct from personal life experience having no children. Just because you didn't get it, because you lack the life experience necessary, doesn't necessarily mean the movie was bad. It just means it wasn't targeted towards you. Otherwise any movie a child can't understand would by default be awful

Are new people created out of thin air to fill these bases, or are random nearby foreigners operating American nuclear warheads? If random soldiers were created out of thin air, then this begs the question: Can Max Lord exploit the wishes of newly created people? With the amount of plotholes this godamn movie creates, they should've redone the plot. Especially if they wanted it to take place before Justice League, BvS, Man of Steel, and Aquaman. Since this movie takes place in 1984, Bruce Wayne is probably close to his mid-teens, and Aquaman is a bit younger. So it makes absolutely no sense, that Batman and Aquaman don't mention the events of the film, since it had literal worldwide effects. Same thing with Diana, in BvS, she literal said that after the events of Wonder Woman 1, she disappeared for a century. So making a sequel to Wonder Woman, that takes place before BvS, also doesn't make a bit of sense. So that's one of the only plotholes that I have a major issue with, I'll touch on the Steve Trevor one later. This movie was way too long, which made it's pacing pretty bad, it could've been a bit worse, but it was still pretty bad. They could've cut a good amount of scenes out, especially with some of the unnecessary dialouge, or they could've just shortened them out, which is probably the better option. So about the confusing Steve Trevor plot, I have no idea why tf they'd choose to this plot point in this specific way. I'd have it where, they just resurrect Steve, instead of him taking over another body, so that weird ass plotline is dealt with. Btw, I'd still have Diana's powers slowly decrease, but I'd have more scenes showing it. Kristen Wig's character is painfully stale and clichéd, tbh, they should've cut the character from the film entirely, would've saved a lot of run time to build up the other plot points more. This would've solved a good amount of pacing and "men bad" issues, and would've made the film a lot more easy to watch, which it definitely needs. My favorite part of this movie was easily the acting, Gal Gadot clearly has improved in the acting department, and she captures the essence of Wonder Woman, even though the writing tries to prevent that. Even if Pedro Pascal's character was all over the place, his acting was just a joy to watch on screen, and I couldn't resist to just smile during his scenes. I know that Pedro Pascal was Mandalorian, but I still was pleasantly surprised by his performance, and this movie clearly shows his impressive scale of roles that he can play. Kristen Wig is fine, and Chris Pine is solid as usual. Overall, this film was just plainly bad, not good enough to be decent, and not bad enough to be awful. So I'd give the film a 4.25/10, and I really wish it was a lot better, but beggers can't be choosers.

The evil Djinn in Wishmaster more of tried to twist their wishes into something that either kills them or just makes something horrible happen to them, and at times he would even take a simple request and interpret that as a wish. Like in one scene, he's like to a man, "I bet you wish you couldn't see that," and he then makes his eyes vanish. Or another scene he tricks a man into asking if he'd want to escape, then he puts him into one of Houdini's old drowning tricks, forcing him to have to escape in order to survive.

@henryvandeventer24574 жыл бұрын
Possum refers to it as a fighter, cause basically it's a military plane with stuff hanging under the wings. Technically the A6 wasn't a fighter, but an all-weather, multi-role attack jet. Another side by side cockpit during that era would be the F111 Aardvark. Looking at the plane in the scene it appears to be loosely modeled on the F111 (swept wings etc). This is also confirmed by the Hot Wheels Wonder Woman Jet that loosely resembles the F111. That said it could've been an A6 or a B1 Bone and the scene would've been just as ridiculous- plane fueled and ready to fly while inactive in a museum, Steve being able to fly it, WW making it invisible, flying low through the fireworks, Washington-Cairo without refueling (technically that could be done by the B1) Absolute crap.

funny thing is a normal human can indeed beat cheetah. lol. Not easily of course, but someone like Batman or Deathstroke could stand toe to toe with her.
@stanstanstan25973 жыл бұрын
@@codysellers4151 I mean Batman probably wouldn’t have much trouble with her depending on the version. On top of the fact that he’s pretty obsessive with his constant contingency planning, and strategizing, and improvisation, he’s also at the peak of mental and physical human performance. Plus all his fancy technology, which in one comic included an armored Bat-tank-suit-thingie that is equipped with incredibly advanced and expensive processors that were just able to project where the Flash will be once he’s in sight so that he can be incapacitated with a projectile. Death stroke is also probably capable of dealing with her, because his whole gimmick is being Captain America mixed with a ninja but on steroids. So yeah.

Cheetah is a hard villain to adapt for a movie, I think. Maybe they should have ignored her backstory from the comics (which I think involved a curse from a god or something) and just make her a science experiment gone wrong. Maybe the Russians or whoever find out about Wonder Woman and decide to create a super-strong human/animal hybrid (Cheetah) to hunt her down and kill her.
@johnivantaro66844 жыл бұрын
I think they should keep Cheetah's backstory of being cursed by a god, but have it be that she resents Wonder Woman because Wonder Woman's powers were basically a blessing as opposed to Cheetah's powers. So Cheetah's jealousy leads to her trying to use her feline-like powers to try (and fail) to murder Wonder Woman. After that fails, she begrudgingly forms a truce with Diana in order to take down Maxwell Lord.
@vanroyal2443 жыл бұрын
A comment I read said that she had everything taken away from her so she experimented on herself. It's very contradicting but whatever.

This movie was so frickin stupid. They literally had the most obvious way to have Wonder Woman lose her powers and still be a superhero staring them right in rhe face: the golden armor. Imagine if WW made a wish, lost her powers due to it being selfish, became mortal and had to put on the armor in order to fight back and redeem herself. All of the magic bullshit that she was doing could have been tied to the armor, which would ultimately get destroyed in a big climactic show down, and then when she realizes that she can't have Steve trevor and be a hero, she gives him up and gets her original powers back, plus she has unlocked her new abilities that are seen in the later films like BvS and the Justice League. These Hollywood people act like they've never read a fucking comic book. Great video Possum 👏😎

I hate this film because of how cheesy it was and just demonize men, like the riot scene it’s a bunch of shots of men harassing someone or women like a man stealing a women’s purse. Also the scene where Barbra beats up a man almost to death because he was drunk and stuff and harassed her once and yet it kinda glorify it saying,”OOOOOOOO STRONG INDEPENDENT WOMEN THIS IS IMPOWERING.” But yet the guy in raging bull slaps his wife a couple times and OH NO SHOCKING they are different movies and the wife was nice but it’s an example how everybody just finds a man beating maybe a women harassing him or just whatever and they find it shocking and think oh wow this guy is a scumbag while a women slaps a man because he was a bit of an asshole or just beats him up because a bitch couldn’t keep her shit together people find less shocking and just thinks she’s a little crazy and the man deserved it. And this movie does that type of shit and try’s to balance it with one man in a different persons body who’s nice and awesome. DC I expected so much better from you guys since the last wonder women film made a couple years ago.

The jet that WW and Pine flew in was an F-111 Aardvark, carrier-based tactical attack aircraft. It had a distinctive side-by-side pilot/co-pilot layout due to the need to keep it shorter (flying off carriers and all that) that I recognized immediately being the airplane nerd I am. On the other hand, it wouldn't have anything approaching the range required to fly direct D.C. to Cairo.

I always found it so weird how nobody talks about this afterward. Like I know it’s a prequel and you kinda can’t reference it, but you have to think whether it is a good idea for World War 3 to basically happen, the entire apocalypse occurs, and just never talk about it. Use some other thing. CoD BO Cold War solves this by making it a secret operation, and in fact, the entire end where things get problematic it is on an uninhabited island. It’s realistic to not know. In Wonder Woman, all of Moscow knows, all of DC knows, the media knows, so much happens you cannot just deny it actually happened. A person during that saying it never happened is as believable as an SS Officer said the Holocaust never happened. It has no merit or realism to it. Edit: this is the worst part of the movie. It has so little continuity to the DCU, it doesn’t feel like A DC Movie. It feels like something else.
