This was before vcr's were affordable so it was a lot easier to get away with these flubs, and some are forgivable since they clearly didn't have a budget for multiple stunt takes. But that one with the picture that's a still of the woman from the next scene, that had me laughing for ten minutes! It's an all time classic, great catch! Last thing, that dirt bike over the van stunt was DANGEROUS. It's amazing the risk that the stunt people take, they s/b celebrated so much more than they ever are...

Great video. I wonder how much of the shows appeal has to do with Linda Carters gorgeous looks rather than the shows content.😊

Only around 99.9, but the rest was all story and plot. Imagine every episode with nothing changed at all except the lead played by a young Kathy Bates, a contemporary Ruth Buzzy, . It becomes self evident.

Too much wonder woman is barely enough!! She was then and today so gorgeous and the show is just fun like Adam West,s Batman and is pure escapism unlike the heavy dark shows of today. Even "Picard" is so hard going and .....i gave up after the first season and that was a stretch.. Not like the days of colorful lighter TNG..

Imagine how different her character would be if she had been named with the synonyms, Philosophy Woman, Imagining Woman, Curious Woman. To each their own, but Philosophy Woman actually still has a lot of potential. Imagine Woman, no way, too provocative. Curious Woman? Tautological.

The Anschluss episode had a sign at the Nazi base "WandschrankgeschloBenzimmer". Although this perplexed me at first as a German speaker; I broke down the compounded word: Wall Cabinet Locked Room = locker room. In modern German it's known as "Waechselzimmer" (change room). The evil Nazis in this episode also drilled the US Army way with American Legion uniforms. Thanks for pointing out the 1970's haircuts. I used to hate this when Hollywood could not get this right.

3:05 They reused the first transformation again from the first episode, but the second transformation in the second episode was a different approach altogether, though filmed during the same shooting day (hence why both transformations have her missing her bracelets). The two specials were shot in the same production block, as if functionally they were one long episode as it were -- all the office scenes, for instance, for both episodes were shot in the same day/couple of days. 9:00 In context, her spinning and initiating her transformation frees her via the burst of light/thunderclap; the frame-by-frame analysis of course reveals that Lynda, as an actress, is of course not tied that way for the spin, but when viewed at normal speed is intended to show the magic of the transformation itself as freeing her. (Sidenote: though only notable in retrospect, while the burst of light is something that occurs within the world of the show, the thunderclap is actually non-diegetic and only is "audible" to the viewing audience; also, the light burst is supposed to only be visible/perceivable if being directly observed -- if you were facing away from it, it doesn't illuminate anything in-world for you to see/note with any sense of its "light" from behind you -- it's just a magical manifestation, or was intended to be such from a production-as-metaphysical POV.)

17:17 I would be pretty surprised if those 2 shots even happened on the same day. Seems more likely that she came to set in "Diana Prince" hair, makeup and (technically) costume on one day, and came to set in "Wonder Woman" hair, makeup and costume on another day. Doesn't seem like the kind of thing they'd try and redo over lunch.

Well, apparently Lynda did not want to do the comic book style Wonder Woman, she wanted her Wonder Woman to be fighting the REAL evils of the world. But the producers said no, so they kept to the comic book style of production. Debra Winger said she made a mistake taking that part, as it turned out to be something she hated. They had a very hard time with her Wonder spin, because she couldn't spin. She couldn't rotate herself in a circle at all. And it took many, many takes for them just to get one good shot of her spin, because she just couldn't do it. Many special effects were reused over and over again to save money. And it took around 3 hours for her to physically changed from Diana Prince to Wonder Woman, with the costume, hair, and makeup being switched. Thats why when she spins it can be light out, but when the flash is gone, there's shadows behind her. All the other stuff is pretty much self explanitory, as they really put most of their budget into the action sequences and cut costs on simple scenes. Thanks for this video!!! I love Wonder Woman and Lynda Carter!!!

I did wonder if Debra Winger couldn't spin or if she was doing it awkwardly on purpose to fit her younger character because she definitely didn't do it as good as Lynda Carter.

I've seen these episodes dozens of times, but you revealed some hard to spot details that I missed over the years. Good job. During the original broadcasts, the viewer simply didn't register stuff like changes of environment (sunlight position, etc) when Diana transformed into Wonder Woman. But I used to take pictures with a Kodak 126 camera right off the screen back then, & noticed that the costume changes outdoors were clearly shot at different times of the day. The best example of this is in the first Andros episode (Judgement from Outer Space). She spins around behind some trees in what appears to be early morning, but after the flash, the light is dramatically brighter from a different angle, late in the day. That's the sort of fun, inconsequential trivia I enjoy discovering, & why I appreciate this channel as well.

@@tvcrazyman Agreed! Once VCR's became affordable, that is. I recall thinking my best friend's family were lucky (& clearly rich!) because they had the first one on the block, at a time when the home video system was a luxury item for most households. AND I also recorded the audio of favorite tv shows onto ordinary tapes, which is why I to this day know the music inside & out, including from Wonder Woman. Not sure what it says about me, nearly 50 years later, that I still have all those old mono cassette tapes, but they do still play!

HEY, TV CRAZY MAN, This was really good. I like your explanations. I wouldn't know what to look for if you didn't narrate in the video. Looks like a lot of bloopers from the WONDER WOMAN stage and production crew. Lol. I noticed that LYNDA CARTER had knee pads on when she rode the skateboard. I can't remember the episode, but I was watching THE 3 STOOGES 2 nights ago, and it's the 1 episode ( see what I did there - 3,2,1. Lol ), where the boys are plumbers, and there was water coming out of the stove and filling up in the light bulb, 😂😂. I never noticed this before. When Curly built that pipe contraption all around himself and couldn't get out in the upstairs bathroom, he put a hole in the floor to drain the water. He fell thru the floor and landed on Moe in the basement. I guess he may have fallen thru 2 or 3 floors, lol. After a few quick scenes, Curly is back in the upstairs bathroom. I realized then that the huge pipe design that Curly built was gone. Lol. Thanks.

@tvcrazyman
@tvcrazyman 10 күн бұрын
She didn't have her strength without the magic belt, but now that I think about it, I'm not sure they mentioned that outside the first season. It was my understanding her magic belt enabled her to have the same strength that she possessed on Paradise Island in the rest of the world. The question is where was her magic belt and costume? Was there a pocket dimension where her costume just hung out waiting for her spin? I wonder.

6:41 It seems that most shows made in the 1970s, but set in earlier times, didn't bother changing the hairstyles to try to match the era they were portraying. I can understand the actors probably didn't want to cut their hair for a role, but they could have at least parted it differently to make it look more vintage. This episode went even further and didn't even try to dress the kids to make it look like they were in the 1940s. Those shirts scream the 70s.

This comment is spot on!! I remember watching these episodes on a 9-inch black and white TV when I was 7 because that was the only way I could watch it. This brings back so many memories that are ingrained in my head, because several of my cousins were visiting and I demanded that we watch this show. My Grandmother and Mom were in the room as all the kids sat around watching the pilot and My Mom would notice these exact same things, but said nothing, because we were just glued to that tiny screen and loving it! But even as a kid, I always noticed that she had something in her hand and that her boots were sometimes flats. When I said something to My Mom, she was said, "Son, as a woman, I would love if my shoes could change when needed. She's 'Magic', stop thinking about it!"
