I would encourage you to build a charcoal gasifier and use the retort for heating your shop. A wood gasifier is very complex to run a small generator and they dont work very well at small scale. Dont take charcoal at face value, its easier than you think and is far better technology for small engine running.

No it does not. It makes charcoal for the gasification process
