my son passed five days ago. I cried to my grandma that I should be planning his birthday not his funeral arrangements. I look down at my phone ready to make more calls and google search was up and read "I love you" and this was the song that was showing. We enjoyed listening to Woodkid durning relax time. I miss him dearly. I just thought I'd share my weird experience just now.

Lilly Gardener Seeing as you can share this with fellow lovers of this song really makes me see that you're a very strong woman who can manage to keep her head up no matter what. My condolences stranger, may your son rest in peace. And I hope you'll pick up the pace soon, I am sure that your son looks up to you even up there in heaven. God Bless you and your family and enjoy the beautiful miracles music can bestow us.

At the start of the clip, he is speaking in Russian (it's an actual Russian speaking Russian, too). He says, "Today I shall tell you a story of a man who drowned in a cold ocean, having lost one he loved. It is a story about a man who died twice."

do you think that it could be the "Drowning Man" who loves the Organ guy, and that because it appears to be an older Russia they weren't allowed to be together? So the gay drowning man killed himself because he couldn't be with the one he really loves? It'd be a cool twist?
@flosamus8 жыл бұрын
To be honest, I've always interpreted it differently: the priest is singing about himself a 'lifetime' ago. The 'drowning in a cold ocean' might be a metaphor - he ended his life, as he knew it, right then, and started a new life as a priest. The hands at the end, to me, suggest it may also be a metaphor - when he 'came back' into a new life, he was still never whole, never quite alive, as such. Althought alternatively, that he may have actually drowned, but came back as a sort of 'ghost' of a holy man, but I prefer my first interpretation. This is all imo, of course.

Wish that there was more heart gripping music like this, goes down to the soul- And you can feel it too especially if you felt this way, deep down. I found Woodkid about 4 years ago, his music (this one) really brings me back to those days where i felt at peace the most and remember the ones I lost. Maybe its just fate i keep finding music that carries me through the months and i'm very grateful for it. I personally like the Quintet version better, the violin que is just perfect for me.

Watching this for the first time without knowing what to expect is an amazing experience, it's enchanting, this is such a gorgeous video and song. This is a story about a man who died twice.”

Cause I love you Is there anything I could do Just to get some attention from you? In the waves I've lost every trace of you Where are you? After all I drifted ashore Through the streams of oceans Whispers wasted in the sand As we were dancing in the blue I was synchronized with you But now the sound of love is out of tune Whatever I feel for you You only seem to care about you Is there any chance you could see me too? I heard about Woodkid in 2014 when dated my ex boyfriend. He told me to listen to "I Love You". I'm happy that I don't love him anymore and we aren't dating for years, he is a really bad person. But I'm thankful he told me to listen to this band when they weren't this popular. This song is still in my heart.

Grandiose, greatness a peek away, behold, applaud in awe at the sight, we all bleed together the one and same, red hearts with oceans blue and green trees, colourful, too bright to blind the pale moon, birds ready their trumpets and the sun sets, wind changes course a storm brews, will we ever find the truth, will we be lost till a memory floats, fleeting away to a new home.

Every time I hear this song reminds me of my loving brother who passed away since January 2013. God I missed him so much and I cried each time I hear this one. I love Woodkid as he is a deeply sentimental epic performer with his vision ,lyrics and music .Just saw him before 4 days in Herodium Attica under the hill of Acropolis and he was way far beyond my expectations. This is a great song, i love you WOODkid

Where the light shivers offshore Through the tides of oceans Пробивается света тонкий звон, We are shining Мы сияем словно солнце, In the rising sun Что взошло на небосклон. As we are floating in the blue I am softly watching you Oh boy your eyes betray И с ужасом, в ярком огне твоих глаз What burns inside you Увидел я пепел неисполненных фраз. Whatever I feel for you "Что за чувства сокрыты во мне?" - You only seem to care about you Is there any chance you could see me too? 'Cause I love you Is there anything I could do Just to get some attention from you? In the waves I've lost every trace of you Where are you? After all I drifted ashore Through the streams of oceans Whispers wasted И слышен лишь шепот одиноких песков, In the sand Напевающий время прожитых веков. As we were dancing in the blue I was synchronized with you But now the sound of love Ты словно стала мной, а я - тобой, Is out of tune Но наша песнь обречена лишь на вой... Whatever I feel for you "Что за чувства сокрыты во мне?" - You only seem to care about you Is there any chance you could see me too? 'Cause I love you Is there anything I could do Just to get some attention from you In the waves I've lost every trace of you Where are you? I got here actually because of the russian actor (Matvey Lykov) who plays the priest. I just saw one of his movies (On - drakon) and became interested. I"m really happy I've found this song I've loved some of Woodkid's songs even before but whenever I refind them I'm always amazed how capturing and unique his songs are. Not to mention the perfect artistic visuals.

Years ago when in an amazing relationship with someone, I heard this song, and I remember crying for days, because somehow I knew I'd lost that someone and this song was already describing my pain. He left me for someone else months later. I sang him this song in our last talk and I remember him just saying sorry. So every time I listen to it, I feel the ache of that day.

lived same situation, there were lot of songs making feel that way when I was with him. seems like our brain understood the message they were sending us. the one saying that they don't really care for us and can't love the way we do. make peace with that: they didn't deserve us ! you'll meet someone that loves you the way you do like it was for me. and since I met him I don't even remember any sad song :) good luck
