About the Woojin case - what disgusts me the most is that if the accusations are fake, then those people are not only trying to ruin someone's life (Woojin's, in this case), they are also lowering the credability of actual rape/sexual assult victims. The more false accusations there are, the less credability all victims - real ones, too - are going to get in the eyes of society. That right there is what truly disgusts me about these people.

@@linda570 are you serious? you are putting out your opinion on the situation without even looking into it, doing some research? he photoshopped his Instagram pictures. he creating fake evidence and a fake alibi. he MADE UP A COMPANY THE SAME DAY AS THE ACCUSATIONS. the logo was stolen. the phone number was fake. the website was trash. the emails were unprofessional. the address was one of an apartment building. he used the situation to PROMOTE HIS NEW PROJECTS. and what is there against the victims? one of them used a photo that could potentially be fake. the difference is that the photo could POTENTIALLY be fake. and that's only ONE of the victim. what about the other ones? what about the ones who didn't speak up at all? that's the difference. he dismissed sexual assault like he was accused of sweating on vlive or something like that. do not pity this man. you are falling right into his trap. he makes what's left of his fanbase protect him and speak up for him because he can't do it himself
@linda5704 жыл бұрын
@@mimi-xx3ik Yes, I am serious, but I am not speaking up for Woojin as you seem to assume. If anything, I’d like to speak up for everyone’s right to the benefit of doubt. I would like to speak up for the ability to sit back and wait for proof and not judge so quickly based on what is spreading on the internet. If the accusations are false, then it is terrible that anyone would set out to ruin another person’s life in this way. If the accusations are true, then Woojin deserves to be punished for what he has done - in accordance with the law, after he has been proven guilty. So far, there is evidence both for and against on both sides. Just look at the company mentioned - yes, there is plenty that seems fishy about it, but if you watched the video, you’ll have seen that it could also be a real company, and that is based on first hand information that Danny showed us. Just like the picture could POTENTIALLY be fake, the company could POTENTIALLY be fake. At this point, there is no conclusive evidence on either side so I don’t believe either of them yet - I am giving them the benefit of doubt. If I didn’t, I could either be calling innocent victims liars or an innocent man a sexual predator. So yes, I am serious, because I think it is too early to make ANY judgements in this case, and the way people are reacting means that Woojin’s future will be compromised NO MATTER WHAT if he is innocent or not.

"I saw a lot of comments saying all Koreans are racist" I'm a South African living in SK and I can't say all Koreans are racist but a vast majority definitely are. The pandemic has made it worse. I've been here for less that two months and I've been called the n word, told to go back to where I come from, people walk away when I stop at a pedestrian crossing waiting to cross the road because they don't want to stand next to me, people will get up and change seats if I sit next to them on the subway, people have refused to serve me at two Korean chain restaurants and there are so many more incidents I can talk about but I'd say racism in this country is a HUGE problem and it's something that needs to be spoken about and dealt with.

Honestly, the rumors about him bullying Stray Kids and palming himself during Itzy’s performance are absolutely moronic. People think it’s smart to rip out certain clips from Stray Kids videos just to make it seem like Woojin did them intentionally? It’s not. Taking those clips out of context and over analyzing them doesn’t prove anything. The actual videos themselves aren’t even evidence. Unless there was an official statement from JYPE or Stray Kids themselves, the bullying rumors will forever be rumors. Do people really undermine Chan’s ability as a leader? He waited seven years to debut, he would not mess around especially when it comes to the person he picked to be a part of the group in the first place. He’s not an oblivious guy. If he’s so quick to pick up on what Stays or people say about them, then he’s definitely as quick to put an end to Woojin’s bullying if it really did happen. Chan may have had respect for Woojin, but he does not seem like the type of person to let bullying of all things slide. As for the palming thing, do people not realize that all of the boys knew that they were being filmed for the episode? If Woojin knew he was being filmed, why would he even try to touch himself when there were people all around him? Not only that, but the hand everyone saw wasn’t even close to or on his crotch. It was on his LEG. Staff or Stray Kids themselves would have told him to stop if he did palm himself, and I highly doubt JYP would even let the episode broadcast upon the final review of it had they missed it.

A victim coming forth should be listened to & supported. The problem with this case is people have NO IDEA who they are supporting or who the victim is. You could be supporting some delusional sasaeng, or a bored person trolling all of Twitter laughing their asses off at the chaos they caused. His alleged phone number was released and people called this number to the point the phone service needed to be deactivated. Someone was harassed relentlessly and who knows who's phone number it really was. I am all for giving victims a voice, but refuse to victimize another person without having ALL the facts.

people who make false sexual assault allegations should receive the exact same punishment that dude would of received for sexual assault, these false allegations hurt real victims of sexual assault and destroy lives of the guys being falsely accused such as losing their jobs, friends, reputation and are unlikely to find work again. To falsely accuse somebody of such a disgusting crime takes a truly evil and horrible person. This is unfortunately becoming a trend in kpop were anti fans who really hate and dislike a certain group will accuse a member of sexual assault on a throwaway account then delete their account when it starts gaining traction, i hope woojin's company stays true to their word and files a lawsuit against this person for defamation and sets a precedent here in the industry, that if you make evil false allegations then you will be fully held accountable, these false allegations hurt real victims of sexual assault and hurt the innocent men being accused who lose friends, family, their careers, brand deals, reputation etc. These accusations also hurt the fellow members of a group and their agency as a whole and brother and sister groups in that agency. People these days automatically assume the person making the accusation is telling the truth without any proof what so ever, i remember when this happened to ronaldo the football player and there was an idiot on the show Good morning britain saying he should be kicked off the team and fined and should lose his brand deals when there was literally no proof what so ever and it was just a baseless accusation and thankfully the person was proved to be lying. People these days instead of waiting for an investigation to take place to investigate the allegations instantly start trying to cancel the man and get his sponsorships and brand deals cancelled and such, it is horrible.

The "always side with the victim" thing doesn't mean ruin the person they accused without proper investigation. You can seek justice for the victim without immediately throwing someone under the bus. I saw this go down on twitter as it was happening with the 'side with the victim' mentality overshaddowing how suspicious the account was. It seemed like they were playing, tweeting in a short and vague way not even saying woojin's name on the get go. I'm not saying that these claims shouldn't be taken seriously. They should that's why it should be properly investigated not a sudden witch hunt. At this point it's woojin who seems like the victim (tho him leaving jype reeks of fish)

kstays have been saying for a while that they've had recurring rumors that he was forced to leave in Oct. 2019 after getting caught going to nightlife places like hostess bars or shady nightclubs. What I hate about the Woojin controversy is that youtubers immediately jumped on the "he's guilty" bandwagon by making videos that were about how Woojin was always a bad seed around his former group members. These youtubers truly believe in "guilty until proven innocent", and simply didn't bother waiting for an actual investigation to happen. I don't know who Woojin is, but I know that a man's life can easily be ruined by the rumors of a woman. It happens all the time. Once someone calls you a rapist, suddenly you can't find work and you lose your reputation in an instant. Even if the court finds you innocent, no one will look at you the same way. Your life can be essentially ruined by a rumor, which makes rumors a very powerful weapon. I don't care if Woojin is innocent or not. I just want people to believe in facts, not here-say. Let justice be served, so wait for an official investigation to be done before you decide one way or another.
@north64174 жыл бұрын

Okay- I just have to say. As a person who is victim of rape, I side with victims, and I do understand why she would post anonymously. ----But the thing here is that I have seen so many people fake these types of things. I have met people who have lied about being sexual assaulted and ITS NOT FAIR TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN SEVERELY ABUSED. The chances of this claim being fake is high especially since the claim is towards a celebrity that fans probably would've felt betrayed with. THESE FAKE ASSUMPTIONS RUIN IT FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME. YALL WANNA TAKE SIDES BUT IF THIS TURNS OUT FAKE HOW DO YOU THINK I OR OTHER PEOPLE WHO WERE SEXUALLY ASSAULTED OR RAPED WILL FEEL? Now when someone gets assaulted there is always this chance of them lying and it is disgusting and ruining it for us. Luckily, people believed me, and I got help and counseling. But I have met people where it took them weeks to show that this happened. Two people had to take it to court which lasted like a year. People dont realize that fake claims do more harm than good. So dont believe everything you hear. -In my opinion, I am not going to ruin someones career and life based on these allegations. Just letting you guys know that if this doesn't get taken to the police after all this, it is completely false. She now has credibility, but if she doesn't take it to the police or if there isn't an investigation, then THAT MEANS IT WAS A FAKE CLAIM. (let me be specific and say in this case I will believe it to be a fake claim until something is proved. This persons anonomyous and posting about a celebrity, so it needs to be investigated in order for it to be proven correct, in my opinion) y'all dont like to hear it, but look at people like Leonardo DiCaprio and many celebrities who have been falsely accused. Not to mention after this whole thing, people started accusing members of other idol groups. Honestly, how hard is it to stay neutral? You guys potentially ruined someones life and career. You guys dont know what the fuck happened. You dont know why he was kicked out of stray kids. And was he even kicked out? But some people just want to cancel people while giving the excuse that "they're thinking of the victims of other cases like this." I have to say, I'm kind of guilty for getting caught up in the hate train towards Woojin. I haven't sent him hate or invaded his privacy in any way, I haven't contributed to any of the ridiculous rumours floating around (of him bullying SKZ members and stuff,) I haven't even treated him being an assaulter as anything more than what it is - an allegation. But because virtually everyone's gone and decided that he's a bad person, one way or another, it was pretty easy for me to get swept up in that. So many people getting themselves involved in this case are handling it so terribly. People are treating Woojin just as badly as he allegedly treated that woman. Now I won't deny that there is something fishy about Woojin and that I completely understand why Stays would want to avoid him for awhile, but the truth is, we really don't know anything. Neither side has provided any concrete evidence to prove whether the allegations are true or false. Woojin's statement is pretty terrible, the company is doing a terrible job at defending him, and there are some things that still don't quite add up to me (e.g. how did Woojin go from a Big 3 company to a brand-new company no one's ever heard of?), but I'm doing my best to avoid coming to any conclusions UNTIL some form of game-changing evidence comes out. To anyone else who's following this case, I think the best thing you can do is to just wait and see how it all unfolds. We have no idea what really went down, we don't even know for certain if Woojin is blacklisted or if he's done anything really bad at all, and I know how tempting it is to side against him because of how poorly he's handling all of this (trust me, I'm still struggling with that too.) But please at least allow some benefit of the doubt. This could be a perfectly innocent man here who's having his life ruined and all his career opportunities blown to smithereens for absolutely nothing. He might have been kicked out of JYP or maybe left on his own🤷🏾♀️ Or might have decided to do solo music or probably did something bad...damn we just don't know so I hope people stop hating for now and see if the victim really goes forward with this and maybe then more facts will be revealed.
@BramLastname4 жыл бұрын
@@RaihannaJallow he was definitely kicked out, The only reason that the official statements say he resigned Is so they didn't have to explain it to the press. If he had resigned of his own volition Then there'd be no reason to postpone any and all content he was in, Including a complete re-edit of their MV. He could've simply waited a few more days And assure fans that JYP will always be open to take him back into their care. However the fact that they postponed all of the previously announced scheduled content for Stray Kids Just because one member was planning to announce that they were leaving Is a dead giveaway that there's more going on behind the scenes.
@BramLastname4 жыл бұрын
I mean Woojin wasn't getting in any reputable company after Stray Kids, But it is a bit fishy that there's never been an explanation for that, As such it's not unreasonable to consider the first victim's case. Which needs to be proven first, Otherwise copycats will just make the case more convoluted than it has any right to be, Eventually making the crime expire.

@@lapis9243 I can relate. I think it's very difficult to stay unbiased in this situation, especially if you're a Stay - every Stay I know is completely against him, I know a lot of people who've already destroyed their merch... And honestly I don't blame people for initially believing the company was fake, it did show up in very strange and suspicious circumstances and it's painfully unprofessional in the way it does things (though I guess you could chalk that up to it being a brand-new company.) I hate that people are being demonised for taking a neutral stance on this because so much information out there is unconfirmed, if not outright fake, and when you look at the few confirmed facts out there, there really isn't enough to go off. It's still far too early to take sides because we don't know whether or not Woojin sexually assaulted anyone, we don't know the exact reason why he left Stray Kids (and that information may not even be relevant in the end; besides, I doubt we're ever going to know anytime soon.) Being neutral is the best you can do right now because it really could go both ways. Whether Woojin really did do these things or the accuser lied about it to ruin his reputation or even just for shits and giggles, it's going to suck either way. It's looking real bad for Woojin right now and it'd be awful if he was innocent all along and had to endure all of this madness for nothing.

Honestly, I think the #CancelKorea was too generalizing. We should #CancelRacism. As a Filipino myself, I know how some of my fellow country men can be racist even towards our own. Not every single koreans are racist although there have been cases where Filipinos were used as insult and mocked in Korean TV since years ago which is probably why some Filipinos were sensitive about it. I'm not gonna take that away from them, it is their right to call it out however again, we can't blame a country for the fault of a few. However, I am glad that it created the conversation. South Koreans are being extremely hypocritical here. When it came to Sam Okyere being upset about blackface, they had every excuse for being disrespectful to him and black people. They said how can you expect South Koreans to know about another country's history. And when Sam said let me educate you, they said he shouldn't have used the word educate. But when I watch this video. Almost all the Koreans expect the Philippines should know about South Korea's history with Japan. And are angry at them for not knowing it. And some of the Koreans use the word educate and not educated in this video. Their true colors are showing. They only understand and care about things when the shoe is on their foot. But not when it's on someone else's.

Thus I would have liked to have refrained from using affirmative words such as 'fake' and would have rather preferred using, 'high chance of being fake'. Innocent until proven guilty = Victim until proven innocent. +for people who don't get my delulu scenario, just for entertainment purposes and to prove that I'm heavily addicted with kdramas here is my novel: 1) Victim gets assaulted. Is scared to take any action. Only evidence was that pic she had. She sends the pic for counseling [to a friend, a lawyer, or maybe woojin himself, (if they exchanged numbers) or so, whatever...] to verify whether it could be used as proof (or to claim she has proof). = just saying once a pic is uploaded via chat or any kind of community/internet it has a high possibility of being spread/leaked 2) W* thinks smart and acquires/bribes a random dude as an alibi and requests him to post it on his account before the victim thinks of(or has the courage to) even revealing it online. 3) Victim doesn't know that fact, goes on with her claims afterwards. 4) W* trying to put a nail on the coffin makes another 'credible' alibi, joins(establishes) something that 'seems like' a legit company and uses it to his advantage (established in 2020). -> House of Cards + Kdramas lol -> you never know what happens BTS in politics, entertainment industry Thank you for reading my novel. Where there are even more evidence and they end up being false. Its extremely hard to believe a random account with no type of evidence. Or even any time spent making the account as credibility. Because there is no way to valid or invalid the claims. If this person atleast had an account that they had for a year (for example). I would be like oh okay! They are expressing their self and they are putting their account on the line. I really want to believe the “victim” because its hard to fight a case with no evidence. However there are so many messed up people out here. It just sucks how un-credible their claim became... Also I dont think Woojin abused the members but he definitely has been shown to not be gentle as expected. Which I can not say much about because some people are alittle too aggressive. It is so sad to see almost all the so called stays were so quick to hate him after this situation without even thinking logically because we all know there is no solid proof. They were saying "side with victim first" which i believe it is a good thing, because to speak out those words courageously is difficult but at the same time, we should know that anything can happen, those victim might also be "anti" who would go far to destroy someone's career. On the other side, there are so many stays who hates woojin now because of all the rumours about him bullying other members and what not. Many videos about him bullying, palming himself while watching a female dance, which we should all know that we cannot judge based on those edited videos. And yes, that was not his hands, it looked more like hyunjin, so watch that video properly. What i hate about this fandom is that,some of them never gave woojin even a chance, and think whether it was really true or not but were so quick to hate him as if they never liked him from the beginning. Also, they were standing on humanity by saying "Victim first" but at the same time, they were being hypocrite because many of them trolled him, made fun of his jail memes, sent him death threats and what not, it is so inhuman and so disgusting. All they could do was just to remain neutral. 💔 Also, go and check out out @josephinepark33 and @AmyLee77636233 if you use twitter, you would see that, those so called victims were actually from Brazilians and they fabricated it. PS: REPORT the fake 10x entertainment with 5 videos. The real one is woojin doing a dance cover. It's so sad that we live in a society where people are so quick to judge and spam hate everywhere. Those people will be responsible for woojin mentality state, and should be reported for cyber bullying. Always remember what happened to Sulli.

Regarding #cancelKorea: As a Filipino, I think what triggered us more was that we were called uneducated, which is of course, a real insult to us since a lot of foreigners especially Asians specifically go to the Philippines to study (not just to learn English but other stuff as well like agriculture and developmental communication).
@jennye34824 жыл бұрын
I am sorry that you guys had to face this issue. What I really found interesting is that when it came to the Sam Okyere controversy, some SK were mad about the word un/-educated. @cidinnuan21534 жыл бұрын
@@jennye3482 You are right. It breaks the Korean self image of an advanced and developed country. Countries poorer than Korea are assumed to be the ones lower. Regarding the Wo0jin controversy: I appreciate your approaches to the issue at hand, sticking with facts, proofs and law is probably the only way to clarify everything. I have been keeping up with all the stuff on twitter and there are some things that don't make sense: what's up with the teen vogue article? the company was created in July but by the article they claimed that they were managing the artist before then and during the alleged time of the harassment (so back in april), and I don't know, it does not make sense to me but maybe there is a logical explanation I'm missing. And regarding the guy itself and his behaviour in the past, there are not SOLID PROOFS, but there have been hints from both the other members (see Bang Chan Vlive when he indirectly spoke about him) and from the guy himself, when he showed in the past to be in a "rocky" relationship with the other members. This does not explain or proves anything he's been accused of, but it certainly looks in a certain way in the eyes of the fans of the group... Also, there are voices about JYP staff members speaking out about him? I tried to look into it but I can't find proofs anywhere (also does not help that I can't read korean, maybe someone with that skill can have a better look). All in all it just makes me really mad that as soon as one accuser comes out there are 100 fake reports, it just does not help, it fuels fanwars, it's counter-productive and it just makes the issue lose credibility for the general public, when MAYBE the first girl reported a true fact. It's a mess!
@djdct44 жыл бұрын
Regarding the company. If the company is a start up they don’t necessarily need to be incorporated to have been working with him Like a lot of times with start ups people usually have started doing some work on their company before they have actually incorporated. I don’t know how it works in Korea but incorporating usually can be done online and can happen be official within an hour. Because the process is very simple. so there’s usually really no rush to incorporate, even for entertainment. Also they could’ve begun managing him if they just did a standard management contract. Those contracts are usually between the artist and the manager specifically. So it’s a person-to-person contract. Outside of specifically K-pop companies you actually don’t need to sign to label to have a manager, Even in Korea. A manager in the music industry globally is just a separate person that works for the artist that doesn’t have any connection to a label. it’s possible they probably just had a contract similar to that and then made decision to have him join the company full-time as an idol not only management client but artist.

Danyl’s Studio with this case its a but tricky because this is an sexual assault allegation and its very serious, i would hope everyone puts theyre bias or favoritsm aside and focus on the case at hand, because either woojin is innocent or the assault victim is right and honestly its better to believe a liar than a possible assulter. And even if he does end up being innocent it honestly wouldnt matter because his mistreatment towards the members have come to light and i don’t think any stays would want to support anyone who hurts theyre members especially when he was one himself, he’s ruined is reputation either way so i would hope people don’t support him just because he was a fan favorite. He’s a human being who should be held accountable to things people call him out for fake or true, and if he’s gonna respond the least he could do is focus on a serious allegation not right it off as a silly rumour and promote his comeback with this possibly fake company. Him “leaving” one of the big3 companies only to join a smaller unknown company in the middle of a comeback, is a weird thing to do. He’s lied and possibly the victim too. The only thing im asking is people put aside theyre favortism and bias and understand this is serious. edit: I've reached middle ground thanks to all the comments helping me realize that the situation is not black and white and in this case and a lot others its better to just be neutral. Thank you everyone for replying im genuinely thankful for the responses i have and now i have a broader mindset on this as i did before! I no longer believe to an extent that i should believe the victim first and instead just be in the middle and not on sides because we truly know nothing about the situation at hand, some of my points still stand but i have now realized my mistakes and have come to fix the mindset that made them.

I'm glad to see the #SorryToFilipinos hashtag. Like, listen, I'm Filipino and I've heard of this whole incident because it's been trending here so much, but I wasn't on board with it because I know how korean netizens are and how they're not representative of a country's opinion - and I don't really think the words of an obnoxious few are worth "cancelling" a whole nation over. However, even if I think this way, that doesn't erase the fact that discrimination is so prevalent, and I'm glad many k-netizens took the step back to reflect on how they treat us Filipinos and took the initiative to apologize. My dad was even convincing me to drop kpop over it lmao. Anyway, we also like to apologize for people calling y'all names like 'plastic surgery' etc. I hope you don't also consider that as the general Filipino opinion - in every country, we all have loud, obnoxious, and ignorant people. Fucked Up No, but I actually agree with samin labib. Just think about Johnny Depp’s case, where Amber Heard accused him of domestic violence. Without any proof, for many, many months society collectively “canceled” him. There were multiple petitions, demanding to fire him from the Fantastic Beast productions. And now, after several month of being in court it actually looks like she herself was an abuser in that relationship and that she accused him of domestic violence to get some money. Unfortunately, this is not an unique situation. Many celebrities confess that there are a lot of people who are trying to make money on a false accusations and it’s more often than not more safe to these celebrities to just agree to settle and give them money than take the case to the court. Hell, Michael Jackson wrote a whole song about this (Billie Jean). So yeah, until these sexual assaults are proven and backed up by evidence (reliable witness confession for example), I don’t think that it is right to treat him as a sexual harasser. And just to be clear, I am not his fan. I don’t even think that I’ve ever heard any of his songs.

Can you imagine the mental impact it would have for the accused? false accusations are a very small percentage. women have been forced to stay silent for so many years, it's important to give them a platform. don't sympathize with woojin. you don't know what happened that night. victims don't always need proof especially when it comes to powerful offenders with connections such as woojin. maybe she didn't get the chance to take real proof. can you put yourself through her situation? the trauma she went through? do you have ANY idea how much silenced victims suffer. and again... woojin is not a good man. even if said accusations were fake, he lied. He fabricated evidence, Photoshopped pictures and an alibi. even if he did not sexually assault his own fans, he treated what was left of his fanbase like garbage. ALWAYS GIVE VICTIMS A PLATFORM. this is the second time I am going through this. I stuck around for the Melanie Martinez situation. but that was different. Melanie did not betray or use her fanbase. she watched as people ruined her merchandise and went after her and she stayed silent. the truth eventually came out. Timothy Heller faked all evidence. that's how you deal with this kind of situation. woojin is a manipulator. don't pity him because you are doing exactly what he wants you to. defend him because he can't defend himself.
@professorhistoire53494 жыл бұрын
@@mimi-xx3ik Neutrality does not equal siding with the perpetrator. No one is sympathizing with woojin, its just that there are so many possibilities with this thing that we really have no choice but to stay in the middle. people forget, this is an anonymous account on twitter, no profile, no nothing, a 3-tweet accusation and a picture. We don't know who this person is. It could be a troll, or some group's delusional fan, or a sasaeng, making up lies to cause chaos or it could be an actual person sharing their story to a seemingly uncaring world. What's more, the girl deleted her acount. Even more evidence as to how this could go both ways! No one is defending him, or catering to him, or trying to silence anyone. Rumours and lies are dangerous things, they spread like wildfire and destroy everything. Nowhere can this do more damage than in the vast yet close-knit kpop fandom, where a single lie can bring forth a relentless onslaught of hate. always give victims a platform, yes, and thats what we're doing. Whats more, the company was in fact real. The alibi im not sure, but what we do know is that he didnt lie completely. Please dont assumw anyone is swithcing to his side, because there arent only two sides. We as a fandom have no place to pass judgement on a person. Ive been seeing all these new content against woojin where people have been reanalysing every interaction and behaviour he showed when he was in skz. Thats fine and all but the thing is, it would be nice if people can be neutral about this until proof arises. Cancelling people and having a judgement quickly hardly ever bore good results. An example would be the whole James Charles drama. Things were taken out of context and the whole world was cancelling him. The thing about cancel culture is the recipient will be going through hell. Careers, mental health, everything will be at stake. We've already seen people give up on their lives from cyberbullying. All of this because people jumped to conclusions. That being said, i can agree with people who would side with the assaulted victim without proof because well duh and also, this side desperately needs support from the people. It isnt easy to come out and talk about these things especially against a person with such a huge following and my heart goes out to the victim if she had to go through this but i would really like it if people could tone down the cyber bullying. Fight to start an investigation instead of typing in 'kill yourself asshole' under his ig. If he is in fact an asshole, he'll get whats coming to him (especially considering his image has already taken a blow) but i dont want to see such violent comments against a person when both sides are yet to produce sufficient proof.

South Korea twitter user ony 4.7 millions out of 51 millions, so roughly 10% of the populations. That is also hardly "a whole country." Consider also fake accounts, ghost accounts and non-active accounts. A country being "cancelled" by twitter is hardly a bad thing. There are several factors that could point towards the first claim to be real: 1: For a popular idol to leave the group and company right before a comeback with 0 court cases is rare and pretty much unheard of. Reality is that JYP had to reorganize SKZ's album and everything else because of the abrupt leaving (which is both time and money consuming, something a company would never do if it wasn't a good reason for it) 2: The first person accused Woojin which was, at that time, almost forgotten in the K-pop industry. If it was for fame, this person would have targeted someone who had an active career, and not someone who is only a float because of their ig followers. 3: Woojin's statement lacked both emotion and understanding of the situation. Instead of taking it seriously, he promoted himself, which is a red flag. Woojin most likely doesn't have a company behind him, or else they would never let their employee write such a nightmarish PR "apology". 4: 10 X entertainment's whole existence and level of professionalism is also to question. A real company would have worked behind the scene and calmed the masses, not going on a social media rant. I agree with your first point, however, I'm not sure about the other.... 2. Idk, its just my own opinion but, the time woojin was accused basically overlapped with skz's comeback announcement. I know woojin is no longer associated with skz in any form, but still if woojin did some shit, the media would have the headline like "skz's former member" and this is what exactly happened after the accusation. 3. Woojin's statement was bullshit, I agree. But I also believe that woojin's company is NOT fake. i kinda have the feeling that the statement on ista claiming that it was from 10x ent. was never addressed by the company but something he wrote on his own using 10x's name. 4. I don't think you could really question a 2 month old company with it's professionalism towards scandals. A new company usually don't have connection with the media at all. Unlike the Big3+(BH) where they could silence the media by bribing them, a fairly new company would never have the money to do the same thing. Understandably, their first instinct would be to silence the people who are spreading the accusation because why not, its free and is the easiest thing to do. i am in no way defending woojin. But there are too many irresponsible claims going around twitter, and it honestly disgusts me. I know a lot of you have the stance to "support the victim more than an accused assaulter", but at this moment, it is more important to not be taking sides but wait for the actual statement of truth to come out. An thorough investigation is needed in an heavy accusation like these, but stan twitter makes it seem like this scandal is a new bait for them to attack.

@@95Emink I don't know korean, so I can't say anything concrete about this. But it's possible that the translation made this sentence more specific than it actually was. At least in Japanese grammar they drop elements that would be obligatory in English grammar, when these elements are not important for understanding the sentence. (And I heard Japanese grammar is similar to Korean grammar.) Danny seems like he really invested some time in going through the allegations and I'm convinced he would have said something if the Korean statement of Woojin would have lead to the same conclusion (that it's really fishy that he seems to know the victim) as the English translation. (Not wanting to defend him, but I found that at least curious. Maybe there is someone Korean in the comments that could enlighten us.)
@Mina-zw5xh4 жыл бұрын
@@95Emink Conversely, the fact that no date or time was provided by the first alleged victim also weakens her accusation as he wouldn't be able to provide an alibi. Also if he didn't commit sexual harassment and the statement was a lie, then it would be true that he hadn't met a person who he had harassed and was never in a location where he had harassed someone. To be clear, I am not defending him and I'm staying neutral since there is no evidence on either side and no court case in progress, but i see so many people bringing up the 'no time or place' as evidence that he is guilty when that is not the case.
@mgnrvnn41994 жыл бұрын
@@Mina-zw5xh I agree, if anything his statement is just poorly phrased. I bet, if he gave a differently phrased statement with almost the exact same content, the reaction would be different. I also have to mention that I'm not defending him, because I don't want to be on either side since there is no proper evidence.

The fact that he was kicked out of JYP out of nowhere without ANY reasons given, it was obviously something BAD! Edit: Innocent me thought at the time that maybe he didn’t want to be an idol anymore, maybe someone in his family was sick, but why would he be in another agency already? So he is willing to continue in this path, JYP didn’t want him for something bad! Period!

Exactly. It was in the middle of a comeback so it cost JYPE a lot of money to redo things without him so there’s got to be a good reason they terminated the contract. If he was sick or needed to see family or anything like that he could’ve easily taken a hiatus.

I’m still hesitant about the company thing. Like, maybe they are a real company, but DKDK said it was registered July 27th which really is recent. How long ago did Woojin day he signed with a new company? And even more specific: why would a brand new entertainment company continue to support someone that they haven’t debuted in a situation such as this? They’re brand new yet they will have this whole situation surrounding them for years to come. It doesn’t make sense to me for them to do that. This entire thing is confusing and that’s that.

David’s statement about Woojin being powerful and posting the picture etc doesn’t make sense. How would Woojin know that the alleged victim was gonna come out on the 7th of September? Why and how would the “victim” inform Woojin? Especially with the picture as evidence? And if that’s the case, why would Woojin ask someone to post the evidence a WHOLE week before the victim came out? Wouldn’t he want the evidence to be hidden or destroyed? If he didn’t ask someone to post the “evidence” the “victim” would not have used this picture (posted on 31st of Aug) and use it to say she took it on the alleged assault day (july) and used it as evidence in her statement. Basically if the picture wasn’t posted by someone who was puppetted by Woojin, the “victim” would have no evidence in the statement. And how would he have gotten ahold of the evidence anyway? It just doesn’t make sense.

I was confused the whole time at what he was saying it didn't make any sense , the guys was creating a whole drama in his head just why would woojin go through all that for a picture ? Like that's just so stupid and woojin powerful ? Bruh what even in the world is he saying...woojin was in the group for like 2 years ? Wasn't even that popular and they have to pay for their training period which is a lot and means that he didn't gain that much money so david saying he's powerful doesn't make any sense , apart if he was from a rich family of his family to be powerful then he could be but I don't think that's the case anyways he keep making assumptions which what all people are doing right now and which is wrong it looked like he didn't even do any research like bruh why are you even talking about this if you don't know anything about it ? The fact that he even looked pissed and used a loud tone when the other was correcting him or telling the true pissed me of so much stop making theories and think logically with your head it's not that hard...even though he kept on saying the is no proof and that he's on neither side the way he was making assumptions it looked like he did think woojin was at fault and keep trying to find something...I'm staying neutral on this there is a lot of celebrities out there who got their career ruined for nothing so i prefer not believing anyone until there a solid proof and that what everyone should do instand of making shit up , videos and sending death treats but so many people are acting immaturelly right now its pissing me off 🤦♀️

S.l multifandom for me it sounded like they were more on Woojins side. Just because a victim lied they made it sound like the first victim lied idk... we never know but I think you should always believe the victim over the rapist. And the fact that David got pissed when Danny wasn’t agreeing was childish... everyone has their own opinion
@s.lmultifandom15754 жыл бұрын
@Khezya N'kinzi personally I feel like David was on the girl side while the other one was staying neutral while saying the information he found out which is right , about 1st and 2nd victim things it can sound of like this but I didn't think it was their inttention , I mean Danny's one...he just found the 2nd victim claims stupid which I personally think too and I understand his reaction especially when there's a guy beside you making up a whole plot of what woojin could have done just after he explained for 10 minutes that it couldn't make sense but I do understand why it looked like that too...about " believe victim over rapist " the thing here is again you're already telling he's a rapist which isn't really proved and don't confuse things up, being a rapist and a sexual assaulter is different both bad but one stronger ( even more bad ) , it could be on the other side and woojin being the victim which is why I do not support anyone I just wait for information without acusing anyone and without making up assumptions cuz we never really know anyways and I agree about the opinion everyone think diferently but I do think that sometimes people need to think straight and see what's in front of their eyes and not believe whatever they want and then clarify saying it's an opinion...
