Thanks for this meticulous and thorough look at the blade grinding attachment. Your video is better than anything from Worksharp. I've just bought this set, and my first impression is that the blade grinding attachment is higher quality and much more robust than the sharpener itself.

It is higher quality and more robust than the sharpener , no doubt about it . The new Ken Onion BGA is less solid than the original and has a lot more plastic .

What are the continuous working hours that the device can bear WSKTS-KO-ELT ?

A very good question, and not as clearly answered as I would like by Worksharp. The Ken Onion sharpener duty cycle, as published by Worksharp, only on their website, is "1 Hour Continuous" and their instructions then state "Allow tool to cool to room temperature between rated operating periods." without actually giving you the rated operating period. So to me this reads as you can use the tool for 1 hour non-stop, then you must let it fully cool to room temperature (how long does that take?) I would put this at an approximate 50% duty cycle on the basis of it taking an hour to fully cool down, but this is just a guess.

Too easy to mess up a nice knife with something like this

I'd have to agree, that powered sharpeners are indeed all too easy to go too far with. The great thing about the Worksharp is the speed control on the belt. It is not a one speed only, it is fully adjustable right down to a very slow speed. The blade tip is very easy to get wrong on a 'slack belt', but there are ways round this.

If you're an idiot. I've been using one of these for 8 years. Not once have I had an issue.
