I have health issues too and so I surf KZbin Premium for ~10 to 20 hours per day. I don't own a TV. I have my gaming PC that does all other PC functions too. I agree the video here @ Simple Living Alaska is like 1440p when it is actually 1080p and because I run 1440p I realllly enjoy that setting but the 1080p is so good too. As for content I'm a bit starved. I follow 16 KZbin Premium Channels and that keeps me moderately busy but I watched them all and I am doing re-runs of all of them again. I really enjoyed the Outdoor Boys and Truck House Life. Any recommendations for new content that I can watch

After seeing how hard it was to build and now how difficult it is to clear the snow off, I have a feeling that many people will be turned off to building a quanzit hut. I was holding my breath while you were in the process of clearing the snow off of it. May God keep you safe.

Surely that structure can stand up to a significant snow load - why even shovel/clear it?
@SLK648
@SLK648 9 ай бұрын
@@rmclogger9856 As the structure is open at both ends it doesn't have the structural strength it would have when closed in. The snow load they had is probably not a problem, but if you have the time to clear the snow, as difficult as it is, why take the risk of an end collapsing? Once it's closed in I would expect they rarely if ever need to clear it.

Pretty much the same thing here in northeastern Pennsylvania. We had a few (3" - 4") inches of snow about two weeks ago and then it got cold so it stayed white for about a week to ten days. Now it's high 30's to mid 40 degrees with typical cloudy winter skies. We live in the Susquehanna River valley at about 450 ft. above sea level so I imagine that there is snow up in the 2400 ft. mountains to our north. Winters here are definitely warmer than they used to be here in our area at least.

Were it me, I would have a (maybe seasonal) unheated room outside your current cabin door. It would be somewhat of an air lock, preventing quite as much exchange of heated air and frigid air when you're entering or leaving the cabin. Not just a storm door, but like a little mud room with its own outside door. Same on the chicken coup, preventing the icing of the door to the warm and humid inside. Each time in or out you'd lose only the volume of heated air that gets into the mud room, and you'd in effect be adding insulation to the main door. Good looking meal, you two!
