The PanzerJager 38 (t) was the Marder III. The Hetzer was the Jagdpanzer 38 (t). And the Hetzer name was supposed to be for an E10 jagdpanzer that got misapplied to the JP38t by allied intel and spread by historians. Hetzer roughly means Chaser. Which this JP38t was not. Maybe the E10 Hetzer would have been somewhat Hellcat-ish

Hetzer and STUG G are the 2 tanks that really no matter the tier, I didn't give a fuck. i just killed everything. Once I killed 6 tanks in my stug G in a tier 7 battle and I wasnt even camping. I was playing like a medium tank

105 doesn't penetrate anything other than very lightly armoured targets. Anything with a hint of armour on it, it just explodes on the armour and does *some* damage. The 75mm can and does penetrate heavy tanks if you stop aiming at the centre of mass and hit weakspots. Using a TD isn't about derping at the front of every target you see, the Hetzer is where you learn about positioning. Or you die a lot.

i always have the assault gun model (105mm) loaded with HE shells. you can one shot almost all the tier 4 tanks and do decent damage to tier 5s when you get good shots on them.

So one crew out of four with 100% camo means the crew as a whole have 25%.

I love this thing. At close range you are so low that you can't miss the tracks (nickname: shin kicker), and lower glasis (nick name: German barbeque). At long ranges you should find an inclined slope, go hull down, and drive to the top of the incline. Going slightly up the incline will tip your tank back a little, and increase your sloping so much that you'll bounce everything! The depression is good enough to fight on an incline.

I like to use the 105 mm gun on the hetzer,because it 1-shots alot of stuff and if you cant pen the enemy you just have to go for high explosive

I tend to use the L/48 75mm gun. The 105mm howitzer is a lolfest if you use gold ammo with it, but I get a certain satisfaction out of doing well with the 75mm. I'm afraid of KV-1s though.

Since I started this on the 360 version, I got the Hetzer, it went only like 15 kph on flat ground, as slow as the doom turtle (T-95) but thank you, this helped a lot, I'm already subbed to you :)

I got my Hetzer yesterday and the stock engine is sooo slowwwww. I played a few hours yesterday just to earn enough XP to get the top engine and the improved suspension. I am enjoying it, though I need to upgrade gun & radio & add binoculars. Another great video BTW.

One word of advice, you can also reliably penetrate KV's in the lower glacis :) Much bigger target to hit aswell. Very good review, loved the Hetzer a million years ago when I first got it :)

I got a rassanis hero medal in blitz with the hetzer, I was sweating so much by the end of it that I had lost track of how many kills I had. But I did it, 7 tanks down, unfortunately my team didn't die fast enough for a koobanof medal.

1st game in a Hetzer, got 6 kills and a win :) You really need the bigger engine. Fun little vehicle especially in lower tier when they try to hit you frontally - which you can bounce.

Sadly, no. Deadeye increases the chance to critically damage enemy vehicle modules and crew with AP, APCR, or HEAT shells by 3%. It does not work with HE shells.

I know this videos been uploaded a while ago, but I love the Hetzer. My personal favorite gun is still the derpgun, because of the revised MM, you go up against tier 6 tops, but lots of times, you end up at tier 4 games, at the top...and with the derp gun, everything you shoot at will die in 1 or 2 hits, while bouncing off the front. A littlebit of foresight so you don´t get flanked, and you are guaranteed 4-5 kills if your team is good, if its bad, you can get 7-8 easy...

HI Jingles. Great review. I ran hot & cold on the Hetzer, switching between Pak 75 & 105, but have finally settled on 105. Lack of accuracy is annoying sometimes, but the one shot kill is great. the Pak 75 might take more shots to kill, but with quick loading and aiming, it can be done. I realized that my earlier use of the 105 was in sniper mode like the Pak, which is useless, so now I get up close and personal, and I have loads of fun. Alongside accuracy, you could add time to target. The Pak 75 is high velocity and with moving targets you don't need to lead much, but the 105 you can just sit and watch the lazy trajectory of the shell. You really need a long lead and that gives the target time to change direction, or stop and have a smoke.

A wonderful tank from WWII, a great tank hunting design in real life, and as many a Sherman crew would tell you, a dangerous foe in wooded or hedgerow area's as the combat record suggests from Normandy and The Battle of the Bulge. I am really looking forward to playing this tank. I gather they were still in service in the 1950's with smaller European armies like the Swiss and Hungarians.

I do not agree, i've played the jgpanzer 4 myself and i must say, I liked it better than the stugIII. it's a really nice tank, but it has a very different type of playstyle, one that not everybody likes. Anyways, you choose what tanks you drive and what tanks you like! nice vid, keep up the good work :)

If you equip this with the Derp and use it properly it can be lethal. Train in camo combined with camo net, gun rammer and laying drive and you can change the tide of a battle. I always use this or the AT-2.

This is my favorite tank :) I suggest to use HE almost always when using the derp gun even a churchill doesn't stand a chance. Though, you should play smart if you want to survive and fully use the efficiency of the short-range, totally-badass derp gun.

Oh I can answer this myself: The accuracy of the L48 has been increased to 0.37! That explains the massive improvement over the stock gun.

It isn't a crew perk, but if you are going to keep the Hetz then get the upraded tracks, if going to sell the Hetz once done grinding your exp, then get a tool box to reduce the time it takes to repair those pesky track hits. I no longer bother with Camo Net because as soon as u turn the hull the camo bonus goes away. When i play any TD I get Tool Box, Gun Rammer and Enhanced Tracks. Let those tanks in front of you do your spotting for you and forget about the Telescopic Sights.

I got this so I could get to the bigger German TDs. But after using it with the 10.5cm derp gun, it is a lot of fun. I only use HE as I think the HEAT rounds at 10 gold each are overpriced. This is a sneak and stab hard killer. Ambush, sneak and prowl is what you do. Now its elite, I like it even more.You have to sneak and ambush, it is not a front line brawler. Be patient, be sneaky and you will be well rewarded.

The Derpgun on the Hetzer is not a Howitzer, it's a Nukegun vs light tanks and tier IV mediums, and it cripples anything if you hit them in the tracks

The 105 is probably the best gun on the Hetzer Jingles, it gives you the ability to one shot every tier 4 tank -the brits, and severely dmg anything you come across.

What would you think if they add a mode where you could respawn? respawn time being based on tier and/or type of vehicle? This game is great, I just don't like how when I get destroyed and the match lasts forever and I cant use that tank until it finishes. therealrrc High Explosive is useful for resetting a cap and gold is there in case you need it. Armor Piercing is what was used to kill tanks and since all your enemies are tanks, it is pretty logical that Armor Piercing is the most common shell used.

I have had very good luck taking down hetzers by pummeling the lower glacis even with standard ammo. I do keep a dozen or so APCR at the ready in case I run across something I know the Lee's 75mm just will plink. Even without the APCR the Lee really has not much more trouble to pen the lower glacis and well lets be honest the lower glacis is far enough off the ground and it is so large that you have to not wait for aim time to miss it at medium range. Hetzer is a beast!

My Matilda says different. I've faced down M3 Lees with this sucker, being able to hold them down while I chip away at their shots. And frankly, bouncing a 12.7 completely depends on the angle of impact. If it was dead on, that's impressive, but if it was a glancing shot, well, I've done the same with the T-28.

The frontal armor with its 60 degree angle is effectively 120mm thick, pretty much everything at tier bounces. I agree the side armor is a bit pitiful, but with the 105mm gun you can pretty much kill anything getting too close.

so the thing with hetzer is that you are either invisible or you are dead. if you are in a tier 4 match, no one can kill you. every shot gets bounced. but if you are in a tier 5 or 6 match, they one shot you and you are dead. and they one shot you in the front.

I found I was one shotting nearly everything while using the tier 3 M2 medium with the 75 mm howitzer m3. With 175 damage, 38 mm of pen, and tier 3 MM I found most tanks of my tier and lower could get one shot. Even more so than the kv 2 and m4

It goes fast when I used it, if you need to, use the high octane gas, it is 5k per game but it makes you faster. But, who needs speed with a tank destroyer, especially the Hetzer, it kills anything in front of it anyways!

I like playing my hetzer with the derp gun, having ~6 gold ammo in it, just for the better armoured targets, rest HE. Once, I got a top gun-battle, oneshotting a B1 from the front, a hetzer from the front, and 4 other tanks while holding a flank all by myself (AP ammo in this battle)

I am in the process of grinding a Hetzer. The stock gun was pretty much crap, despite the seemingly relatively small difference between the two 75mm's. The L48 is FAR more accurate, in my experience. Now I am hitting even small targets reliably. Now there's a new patch, would some of you with longer experience with it comment on whether some of the guns have been nerfed, compared to the 7.5 patch in this review?

This tank is nice, but it doesn't have the accuracy I would want from a td with such low health and crap armor. Still, not a bad little machine, eh? I don't know how long I've been a sub, but it's nice to be able to pick a random tank review from your channel and get the full load down. Are you looking forward to a possible World of Battleships game? Wonder what else they could make from this type of free to play format...I'll stop typing now.
