This 600cc monster is the work of hours of shed time working out how to squeeze a sports bike and so wheels into a dodgem shell without making a death trap, but surprisingly in a straight line it's actually quite a solid ride, even when reaching 3 figure speeds.

What's he actually doing, though? Is he actually thinking about everything he needs to behind the scenes, and he just cuts it out for the video? Like did he check the structural limitations of the chassis and the steering to make sure they can hold up under the vibration from moving on asphalt at 100mph after rusting for half a century??? Has he run the numbers on the brakes, to make sure they still work with ten times a normal bumper car's speed and three times a normal go-kart's mass? Did he align and stabilize the axles and shit so they don't spaz out and flip the kart off of the track??? Did he look at the kinematics of the vehicle to make sure it doesn't throw him out or roll over when he tries to brake/turn??? And with the hoverbike too... like active stabilization of a rotorcraft is supposed to be one of the hardest things to do in aerodynamics (while passive stabilization is roughly impossible), and this guy just comes and... does it??? With a bi-copter craft welded together from spare parts, and with his variable mass human body dancing around on top of it (less than a meter from the unshielded propellor blades) no less????? There's gotta be more that he's not showing, right? I mean, I know these videos are edited and pieced together for entertainment, but I mean there's gotta be a lot more, right? Right? There's no way he's survived all of these projects just based off of dumb luck, right??

@@neolexiousneolexian6079 I think your wayyyyy over thinking this. People have been building ghetto lawn mower engine powered go karts for decades. This is definitely a few steps above that, but if you have some natural talent and the right tools, these things are very possible. You use a square to make sure the frame is...square. If the frame is square, the axles will be straight. If you use the brakes and they get that over heated brake smell, you adjust or come up with a different option. There is a throttle on that thing- they didn't go from 0-100mph in one try. But I would guess those initial shake out runs don't make the final cut.

That is very slow for such an engine. I would bet that the engine is actually misfiring on one cylinder simply by the sound it makes. The motorcycle out of which the engine came out probably does 260kmh; something is very wrong here.

It has tiny wheels compared to a motorcycle, it probably has the same gearbox so the speed is reduced by a lot.

in the build video the headers were set up like a subaru (odd-firing) hence the sound, as for speed i think it needs longer gearing, although i'm sure it has nasty acceleration with the sprockets it has

Not using helmet and eye protection is so idiotic. Sure helmet or eye protection won't do miracles, but it saves you from easily avoidable injuries that could even kill you if you are unlucky. Humans are quite easy to kill if they get hit in the head, and eyes are destroyed even more easily. Its not like i want Formula 1 levels of protection everywhere, just make sure you don't get killed because you did not bother to put on a cheap helmet or even just "hard hat".

Why would they change their usual policy of employing people that have little knowledge of anything other than presenting a TV program? Look what happened with Ed China. Tons of knowledge and mechanical skills, but got shoved into the shadows by that annoying little pr**k of a partner. Also, Mr Furze would never be allowed to do what he does now, as everything would have to be dumbed down for the general public, with just 5 mins of actual decent content stretched out to half-an-hour, with the usual interminable 're-caps' after each commercial break.

Next build, Ultra-light aircraft. in the US you can fly an airworthy craft, (airplane, power glider, powered parachute) without FAA Inspection, License or anything if the aircraft weight under like 254pounds. NOt sure if the UK has something like that.
