David you look amazingly young. I can see myself aging backwards at 62. I will get myself checked for my biological age a year from i started intermittent fasting. I am presently on a 72 hour fasting. I was on a meal a day for 2 months, back on 20/4 fasting/eating. I go to the gym daily and do strength exercises. I just started to do hot/cold/hot therapy . I see some of my loose fat disappear, I lost 38 pounds, 5:2, weight 114 pounds. I am off several medications, I am regular naturally; after suffering with constipation forever. I am on the Mediterranean lifestyle diet . I owe this all to you and other scientists, Doctors, on KZbin. You have given me my life back, a much better one, THANK YOU

I never ever get tired of listening to Dr Sinclair. I have been listening to each and every podcast, interviews for the last two years and follow what he suggested for longevity as far as I can.. well saving coffee money for nmn and others 😊. Each time i learn something new and my determination grows. Though he might tell the same thing but each time i understand it better but to my advantage. Thank you for getting him for this interview and asking the right queries which we the viewers wanted to know. One great thing about you... you don't interrupt him after asking the question and let his answer flow without break.. And one thing you look as if you are in your late 30s actually.

@@Derby08 can I ask you a question? Have you tried any of the things that David Sinclair talks about? If you haven't, then maybe put aside all that you believe about lies just for a while and try for yourself. If I can be bold here and suggest, I would recommend 1. Fasting 16:8 every single day, 2. Take 1gm NMN, 3. Take 1gm Resveratrol (mixed with small amount of yogurt so u don't break the fast) both previous first thing in the morning, 4. Excercise more a few times a week (weights and cardio), 5. Cold shower every morning (stay in for 1 min at least). The thing to remember about screening tests, eg for certain cancers, is that there is an incidence of false positives. The idea behind ‘targeted’ screening is to minimise these, and so minimise unnecessary further tests such as biopsies with the possible complications.
@aerotuc

yes but i would insist ,probably the Dr. as well,to have tests which would confirm or at least hint toward a false or negative result /.there would be many tests prior to haveing a biopsy..especially if its in the brain .therfore i would agree dr. sinclairs views are the right way to go ...having an mri as a general screening is best choice,regardless.But as a dr ...im sure your government doesbn't want YOU to request mris on everybody...,thats the main reason against screening this way.

if you take something like public health into account, it becomes clear that it makes sense that not everybody can get health care in the sense that everything gets measured and checked, if the risk is very low. If you have limited resources as a society you have to properly allocate them. we humans get very self centered sometimes.

Just started following him and his work. He could be a massive fraud and everything he is saying is purely for money, but also you have to realize that if he is ACTUALLY working on a cure for aging then that'd probably be a very stress filled task. Stress ages people more than time ever can. Assuming he is following good protocol, he shouldn't be doing any age reversal that he's studying on himself until it's proven relatively safe for humans. So assuming it's all real, he should still be aging because reversing age hasn't been confirmed as safe yet. Not saying to just blindly trust him and his word, if anything you shouldn't believe anything he says until you can see first-hand that it is proven true. But there can also be a logical explanation for these confusing and seemingly contradictory things.

However, here in the Philippines the cost of NMN9000 ResV with added Resveratrol is PhP7,700 for 30 tablets which comes from Japan and is evidently a crippling cost. I will be running Courses on this soon at our resort in Bolinao, Pangasinan together with Team Building and Immunity Boosting but must find a more economic source of NMN before I can recommend this to our guests Can anyone advise, please?

David Sinclair's book Lifespan has a lot of specifics in it: *avoid DNA damage- (don't smoke, if your work around xrays dont be lax about your personal protections, don't microwave on plastic containers/plates, limit your exposure to exhaust fumes if possible, do not get sunburned) *exercise- (get 7k+ steps a day, do resistance training which is more important the older you are so you keep your muscle mass that drops off perciptiously post 60 and 2-3x a week do 15 minutes of sprint trainint or HIIT ) *diet- (avoid cured meats/sausages entirelu, stick to fish and poultry if you eat meat, try to limit it to a few times per week because your body repairs DNA in times when protein is low - and to that end its worthwhile to try fasting in whatever way you can tolerate it. Even one 24hr fast per month is probably beneficial. Or doing time restricted fasting like 16:8) FWIW- Vegetarians do live longer in observational studies. *Supplements: resveratrol and NMN . prescription Metformin is great if you can get a prescription for it.

I am thankful to Sinclair. I was taking too much niacinamide, and he pointed out in a video that it can impair collagen creation. That is exactly what was happening to me, and I was in very bad shape. I am now fully recovered, though some accelerated face aging does appear to be permanent. Nonetheless, I have to call him on his claims. Claims, in fact, that shift the burden of proof inappropriately, as he should know as a scientist. Still, I will play along. 2:05 So tell me how you are undoing DNA damage, and I don't mean methylation. He knows as well as I, there is no fixing DNA, short of Science Fiction. We accumulate DNA damage that is carried on to the next generation of cell and the next. This is caused because our DNA breaks 10,000 to 100,000 times in EACH cell EVERY day. Most of this is repaired correctly, a small fraction is not. These breaks are caused by ionizing radiation from the sun, outer space, radiation in the ground, radiation in your food (potassium and carbon mostly). It is also damaged by chemicals. And lastly, it is damaged by quantum tunneling as a function of body temperature. Heat is in quanta, and by chance a bunch of these quanta can bounce into the same area and act like it is a higher temperature. Just being a few degrees lower extends lives dramatically. This is the reason bowhead whales live 200+ years. And the same reason naked mole rats live very long for rats. The rats are effectively coldblooded. That is why they don't need hair. We can't just tweak stuff and get cold and hope to live longer. Our enzymes have a very tight temperature tolerance, which is why you feel terrible if you get too hot or too cold. When the enzymes stop working, essential processes are disrupted and you die. Some people do have a partial cheat. There is a gene variant that improves the odds of a good repair. But errors will still be made. Good levels of the right antioxidants can also decrease DNA damage events. But if it is fixed and fixed wrong, there is no repairing it. There is no rational hypothetical path to repairing it. We have 4 far-fetched fantasies: 1. Whole genome genetic modification. That is absurdly far-fetched. Genetic modification does not look for a problem and fix it. A specific change...sure...not any random thing that just happened to that cell. 2. Whole genome swap. You find some undamaged DNA, multiply it without errors a few trillion times, then have it transported to every cell where the original DNA in that cell is destroyed, and then this new DNA inserted. There are only about 100 things absurdly challenging about this like every tissue has a different selection of DNA that is activated, methylation must be right, so it knows how old you are supposed to be, transporting that much DNA, without it being damaged won't be easy. Can you actually dispose of the old DNA without killing the cell before the new stuff is inserted?... 3. Nanites who know what your DNA is supposed to look like enter each cell and make all the repairs. Maybe in 200 years. 4. Something enters the cell and if damage is found on anything that is active, the cell is destroyed. Other cells have telomere extended, so they can replace the cells, and lots of stem cells are introduced to help. The problem with this is that some cells are irreplaceable, like most neurons. And there is no guarantee a person could even endure this, as they could be replacing nearly all the cells. It would probably feel worse than bone cancer. They probably would have to induce coma for months while this was undergone, if possible. And there is a bunch of other stuff we accumulate. We accumulate Advanced Glycation End-products (AGEs) especially glucosepane. You can reduce the accumulation using some supplements reducing the creation, but diet must change dramatically to have a very low AGE diet. No pan-frying. No deep-frying. No "air frying." No roasting. No grilling. No broiling. No poaching eggs, only boiling or scrambling. Low fat. Very limited oil choices. Even olive oil is out. Most cold pressed seed oils are okay in moderation: flax, sunflower, chia seed, and sesame. Pistachio, and avocado are also good. No roasted oils. Never heated above boiling water. No BUTTER. Only unfermented cheeses: Mozerella, Ricotta, Cottage cheeses. Parmesan is the worst, but most fermented cheeses are high in AGEs. No roasted nuts, except pistachios. No roasted nut butters, which is virtually every kind unless you make it yourself. Many things blended at high speeds have high AGEs. If it is only carbohydrate or only protein or only fat, it is not an issue. You can make a smoothie that is almost entirely carbohydrate, and that is fine, just don't put in seeds, nuts, oils or protein powders and such. Some dressings are okay, others are more dubious. If it is acidic, it is probably okay. If it is "Low Fat," it is probably okay. Only "Low Fat" mayonnaise is okay. Any sauce made with lots of tomatoes is probably fine. Anything acidic is probably fine. Protein or oil can be stirred in; you just don't want to blend with a powerful machine. For meat, you want soups, stews, chilies, meat cooked in spaghetti sauce, or other tomato based sauce at fairly low temperatures. Steamed fish, fish or other meat boiled in just a little water. Various crock pot stuff. And no cheating, cooking meat in those unacceptable ways and then putting it in a stew or chili or whatever. Of course, most vegetables and grains are much lower in AGEs than meat, so they should take center stage a lot. Then there are other accumulations. Age spots are made of Lipofuscin. If you have age spots on your skin, you probably have them in your muscle, heart, brain, and other organs. The main problem with this one is just obstruction. Though, that can be a problem in the brain, especially. Speculatively, new accumulations may be minimized by HIIT exercise and supplements and other activities that promote mitochondria recycling (mitophagy). Some people inherited better mitochondria in the first place. Another thing that accumulates is amyloid. There are about 30 different kinds because different proteins can misfold. Once this starts, it can be next to impossible to stop. Though, some of the tech that has been applied to Alzheimer's may allow other amyloid to also be removed. We also have the accumulation of scar tissue. This quick fix repair solution is good short term, not so good long term. Scar tissue does not perform the functions of the organs it is in. The more of it you get, the less function those organs have. And there are likely many other substances that accumulate in the blood. This may be why plasmaphereses seems to have health benefits. None of this means people can't live for several centuries. But it does mean it will likely require organ replacement, whole body replacement, or head transplant. That will not be cheap. And it will likely be limited to a small percentage that can afford that. And whatever tissue is not replaced will eventually die, most likely. Even if they could print your exact neural pattern...would that be you or just a copy? There is another way. We can engineer future generations to age far slower. No one wants to talk about this option because we want to be the ones living very long or our children that are already born. But this is by far the most cost-effective method, and likely the only one that will allow everyone at least of that generation and in the future to share in the gift of a long healthy life.

Our bodys are designed to last to 160 years. and in some countrys many people do live that long.
@roslechte
@roslechte Жыл бұрын
Humans do not live to be 160 anywhere in the world. The oldest verified age to which any human has ever lived is 122 years and 164 days by Jeanne Calment of France. There have been claims of longer lifespans in various parts of the world, but these have not been independently verified and are often viewed with scepticism by experts in the field of gerontology. Many factors contribute to longevity, including genetics, diet, access to healthcare, and lifestyle, but even in the most favourable conditions, the human body has biological limits. Research into aging aims to understand these limits and, potentially, how to extend them, but as of now, a lifespan of 160 years remains beyond our reach.

5:20 "its just a matter of when these things become widely available" No, because governments who make policy according to what their sponsors (the elite) tells them to, will always try and keep the mainstream public as sick as possible. Eg. in USA, they have extremely strict rules on stemcell treatment, we have technology to take perfect stemcells, culture them in a lab, and then use them on humans, but this is not allowed in USA, only if you take the stemcells from the subject that you plan on treating, but the thing is, if the subject is sick, have corrupt dna, then the stemcells you take from that subject might be destined to go doom regardless, so these type of patients need a doner stemcell treatment..

Resveratrol is getting a bad rap lately and I need to know the truth. Why did I have a very obvious, repeatable result from taking resveratrol?… I never expected any visible results from taking it but I began to see that it was indeed responsible for increased endurance in a strenuous “ yoga with weights” class during which we increased heart rate and worked our muscles to their limit. I tested it over and over again. I stopped taking resveratrol because of the negativity around it, but I also had to stop taking the class!
