It was either Austin or the rock. It’s like comparing MacDonald’s Burger King or Adidas to Nike. Personally I was always a rock fan. Nothing against stone cold but the rock is just hilariously entertaining. Captivating. His promos, everything. I actually like Austin more during his heel turn. However the rock was electrifying weather he was a babyface or heel.

There's is absolutely no doubt about the fact that he definitely had a large, golden chip on his shoulder and becoming a pro wrestler in the world's largest company was somewhat easier for him that literally most people can ever think of. But, the other simple fact is he always had a kind of personality, talent and aura in him that The Rock being a superstar was always his destiny, nobody could have simply stopped him from being this great anyways. This man is probably the biggest reason why fans like me still watch Pro Wrestling.

The year 2000 was probably the best year in WWF history although I prefer 1999 to it, but believe me and I am a huge Rock fan but it wasn't just because of him! Yes he was the biggest star when Austin was injured, but everything was perfect in 2000! The tag team division was rocking, the intercontinental title was rocking you've got Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit as midcarders!! The crazy TLC matches, and you've got one of the best heels of all time coming to his own HHH! It would have been more fun to have had Austin and Rock in the whole of 1999 and 2000 but Austin was injured for much of them! Also, you've got the undertaker and Kane running around, you've got Mick Foley, DX and everyone else! The Michael Jackson of pro wrestling is Austin in my opinion cuz as far as I know, Hogan and Austin are slightly above Rocky in terms of insane popularity but I will give the nod to Austin because Hogan is just a douchebag! What I loved about the two was the fact that they were completely different yet beloved by everyone, Austin was the Macho guy who embodied badassary and the Great one was so entertaining with his edgy comedy and the fact that he would call out everyone if he needed too! All of you jabronies at the back 🤣🤣🤣 The rock man he was so fucking funny! I am so glad to be a 90s kid to have watched wrestling growing up!

Surprised this one hasn't been done until now! Just had a dream about the Rock returning to assist Umaga (in an alternate timeline I guess) and Umaga was dancing like Rikishi, but also smiled at the Rock and took his leave. The Rock has the greatest theme songs in WWE history and I'm gonna listen to them after this.

The most electrifying man is the closest description I have seen. I have had so many goosebumps from his promos, entrances and legendary matches. My top wrestler ever and an inspiration outside of the ring as well. He is the reason I started watching wrestling and fell in love with it.

It’s funny because you ever notice when individuals became mega famous they get that A-list look. Chiseled cheek bones, fake white teeth, slick haircuts, basically they look like a million dollars. The rock is a great example of this. In the late 90s he was stocky, bulky, chubby but by 2002 he was leaner, more toned, slick grade 2 haircut and chiseled cheek bones to boot. Now he’s mr Hollywood he looks the real life Hercules but bald! Lol.

Not gonna lie. The guy is a fighter and a hustler. He always talked about making it big out there on his own terms and he backed it up with hardwork. You can work your ass off trying hard to not take him seriously, but you will just be another forgotten obstacle. But at the same time if you help him out, he will remember you for life. True champion among people.

Rock had a short and explosive career but to appreciate how fast things blew up take it from this angle... When he debut at Survivor Series in November 1996 he was 24..by the time he faced Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania 18 in March 2002 he was just 29. That means everything that happened in between from Nation of domination to the Corporate champ to the Rock and sock connection and the rest were all during his mid to late 20s. Even at the age of 30 alone dude won the undisputed title..dropped it to Brock Lesnar went away came back as Hollywood Rock.. had feuds with Hogan at No way out 2003..a mini angle with Hurricane then a match with Steve Austin at WM 19 and his last match of that run with Goldberg at Backlash before leaving...that was at age 30 alone.

When I was a kid, my grandparents were from Minnesota and knew I loved wrestling, and mentioned that Jesse The Body Ventura, who was a politician in Minnesota at the time, was a wrestler which blew my little mind away. Now, there are people that don't even know that Dwayne Johnson was once the most popular wrestler during his time there. Thankfully, Young Rock might help with that. Also, wiki 😅

It’s almost like they had planned for him to be a celebrity when he was younger, they kept pointing the camera on him while he was in the crowd… if you notice they always show the same pics of him when they have a documentary on him… like he’s a made actor…. Have you ever seen the WWF ever put so much attention on a young person like they did?

Your intuition is exceptional. I noticed the same thing. There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes in the entertainment industry that we don’t know. Imagine if every single celebrity was made from birth. Yes big brother is more elusive then we think and vince McMahon should not be underestimated.

I’m so delighted that I grew up on wrestling in the early naughties during the height of the rock’s career. So many great historic memories. The rock is the only legend to have beaten Austin, cena and hulk hogan at wrestlemania. Also if he does face roman reigns at WM38 it will be history in the making like no other time. It would mean that he has had 3 “passing of the torch” generational matches spanning twenty years. The rock vs hogan WM18 2002, the rock vs cena WM28 2012 and the rock vs Roman reigns WM38 2022. The rock will go down as pro-wrestling and wwe’s greatest ever.
