I was recently at a Brazilian jiu jitsu tournament with solid production. Guys had walkout songs for their first matches. A guy came out the Ultimate Warrior theme and tried to do it right. @@maxmeza4859 I'm not interested in this argument, but there are several pieces of evidence that prove sting losing to triple h was the only reason he came back. Vince had to crush his enemy. So yeah, sting just wanted to get to wrestlemania, but Vince wanted everything wcw destroyed.. he's already altered so much of the history its crazy. Hogan didn't move his gimmick. Bishof came up with the great idea to have him go heel. Luckily, Hogan did go along with it. (Then it would been Sting and probably bored not as cool.) However, Hogan would have loved to stay the hero for his entire career. And rhen... WCW reverted and and made Hogan face again. (Quite lame!) If Hogan cared, or had a clue, he would have said that doesn't work brother. As far as Warrior, he was just doing as told. And I noticed there was very little wrestling. It felt like I watched half an hour without any actual wrestling match taking place. Just this in ring drama, where some meat head would rant on in the microphone. Then it cut to some promo. Then we saw some back stage drama unfold. It was like some soap opera. I was a huge Ultimate Warrior fan as a kid, but if I saw him shouting into the microphone for 15 minutes, I honestly don't think I'd have had the patience to keep watching.

I had heard (from friends who read a lot online & did a sports show) that Warrior was supposed to do something like 13 appearances. At the time, I had counted that it didn't get to 13 or whatever number it was. His last appearance was the day after Halloween Havoc and he told Hogan "you failed the challenge," cause Hogan cheated to win at the PPV. Jesse Ventura had just won the governor election, and Hogan's next promo became saying he was running for president. To me, it seems WCW just being WCW and not finishing a fued right. Cause a 3rd match would have made sense.

This bit is what drove me to switch from regularly watching WCW back to watching WWF

I think Warrior looked really cool in 98, arguably his best look. That said his lack of size at the time took away his believability.

I remember how fired up we were when he walked into WCW. then he started talking and we were laughing by the end and switching back and forth to wwf

I had forgotten that Hogan had gotten the best of Warrior in the prior two weeks, and STILL got his win. Creative control am I right?

The warrior introduced to the WCW was great. But giving him the mic was a mistake. But the build up to Havoc was great. But to have him lose to hogan was a total letdown.

The botched finish with the fireball was hilarious

Botched finishes were a calling card of Hogans during his NWO run.

Warrior did not run back to the ring. The Renegade was the decoy Warrior. Once he disappeared, the real deal then came to the ring. Also, he had a torn bicep that he suffered during War Games. He had bandages during the tag match with Sting. The duster (jacket) was kept on to cover it. He also said that Hogan didn't want to go over the match ahead of time.

I think Warrior had an injury with his biceps at the time of the Blade Runners reunion, that was why he left the jacket on. I remember reading that on the hot sheets back in the day

Crafted Pure yeah it was a bicep injury,it’s also why he worked out with a rubber hose to nurse it as much as he could,he suffered the injury in the cage match at War Games

It looked so awkward having Stevie Ray in the ring with the Warrior at WarGames.

DDP, Roddy Piper, Warrior, Kevin Nash, Sting, Lex Luger, Hogan, Bret Hart...and Stevie Ray. One of those guys isn't quite on the same level as the others.

I think Warrior's first WCW promo did insane ratings, despite being boring and going way too long.
