The King of the Road match took place at WCW Uncensored 1995. "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes took on Blacktop Bully in a match that took place inside an 18 wheeler truck where the objective of the bout was to blow a horn towards the front end of the caged container. The match lives in on infamy as one of WCW's worst ever match ideas and one of the worst match gimmicks in the business, but the match also led to serious reprecussions for Dustin, Bully and road agent Mike Graham. All three men were fired after the match took place.
This video looks at the debut of Blacktop Bully in WCW, the Dustin Rhodes vs Blacktop Bully rivalry, the King of the Road match at WCW Uncensored 95, and the ramifications of all three men breaking WCW policy due to their actions during the bout. This video also features audio from Eric Bischoff talking about the match and fallout.

Its ironic that all these years later WWE's Extreme Rules PPVs have the same problem that WCW's Uncensored PPVs had. I will never be able to understand their mentality. If your trying to make a family friendly product, why act like your going to do an extreme PPV and hype it up like its this big brutal one night event that you should hide from the kiddies, just to have it be a regular PPV? I actually liked this match. It had a sense of being dangerous and the helicopter shot was impressive. This to me was one of Darsow's best matches as a singles wrestler. Hope that the unedited match is still out there someone.

But never heard about the other info you mentioned. About wcw making the strict policy change as well as the trying to go more family friendly. Makes more now. Great vid! This whole ppv surprisingly looks interesting. Sherri ( R.I.P. ) looks amazing. The concept of a wrestling match on a moving truck is f'n awesome. The unedited version has to be much better than what's shown here. Hearing Bischoff talk about this in detail was eye opening. Yet he never ceases to have a podcast where he can't remember important items. Always been a Mike Graham fan since he said "In his own little Tennessee mind, j jarrett thought he was great".

After learning of it, that was what I never got. How could you possibly justify paying all that money to rent a flatbed truck, pay someone to drive it, someone to film it, pay someone to drive/fly them filming it and finally, pay someone to control the traffic flow for the truck. I understand the no blood policy only from a safety standpoint, let's not forget Aids ( a subject that's always been swept under the proverbial rug within the industry) was still an ongoing issue in society during that time, a performer could become infected during a match as well as people outside /inside the ring as well.
