If I remember right, Coco doesn't haven't access to any of the power ups that you unlock from the boss fights. She basically has a Crash 1 moveset, she can't double jump, slide jump, and her little kick is pathetic. They really did her dirty imo.

She did get the super body slam power (that was hidden in the death route of one of her china levels, and arguably the hardest section in the game) but it was as useful as you could imagine

Did you notice you just kicked an actual wumpa fruit to an enemy and that defeated it? That's a neat move you can only do in this game. I wish that was kept in later games, but you actually need wumpas in Crash 4 so I guess that just couldn't happen

Yeah, I remember the first time I played this and that second boss fight was just the bane of my existence. It is such a huge difficulty spike if you don't know what you're doing (and even if you do know, it still can be tricky). I think I may have used up almost all my lives trying to beat it. The third boss fight is my favorite in the game, too. I actually used to replay it just for fun. Also, I think Mark Hamill voices the fire mask.

If it didn't replace the crouch/slide and was instead a crouch/attack button combo, sweep kick would be halfway useful for getting crates under TNTS/Nitros and as a defence tactic while ducking. Coco should have at least got the Double Jump and Fruit Bazooka though along with SOME sort of niche to balance her weaker attack set.

0:18 me too, those enemies always felt very out of place. Like "OK, we have a jungle level with safari cars and a rhino stampede, let's just put a pink-haired little girl to throw spears there". I'm pretty sure that enemy is a placeholder and they were supposed to put some kind of tribal spearman there, but accidentally left the game this way.
