@@Jay___855 I think the biggest difference is that without radically changing the OS architecture there is little more they can do other than app enhancements. Any big changes are probably buried deep in the code and/or hidden as other features. One possibility could be co-processing with A-series chips, which run iOS, to make a modular Mac Pro possible. A little marketing hocus/pocus “ooo look at iOS… **BAM**”

The VR Headset will play to a niche audience. Considering Meta’s failure I can’t see Apple doing much better. Most likely the biggest inhibitor would be the cost of the Headset and cost of subscriptions and apps. Myself, I have no interest in this. Hopefully there will be other things in this event that will interest me more.

It doesnt bring almoat anything new to the table. I was experimenting with a "floating screen" in a VR headaet, using my 2015 Nexus 5X with a "cardboard" headset. The VR/AR stuff is very fun, very qute, and very gimmicky for around 20 minutes.

Oh if they (creators of VR tech) do it right, which is plausible, it’s going to shake up the game like the home console has. The difference is, if you can get this to work like we expect it to, people will be wearing these all the time. Like regular glasses. They will eventually replace your smart phone, and will get people to walk around outside more (just look at what pokemon GO did, and that was trash compared to what is actually possible when this ship makes it out to the high seas). Not to mention since people will still be freaked out by chips in the brain, the wearable phone computer consoles can be sold as a 3 in 1. Market it’s terabyte capacity like you did with Gigs, eventually set up cloud environments for them to rake in the money. Partner with providers to get the internet expanded across the country, sell merch that can be adjusted AR like it’s TF2 on 2Fort. Increase the likelihood of crypto or Apple having it’s owm crypto currency. I could keep going, but I mean…. Why give something away for free when you can make a profit off of it? 😁

I can't imagine they'd announce a side loading app store since that's a hit to revenue. And especially if it's only regionally due to legal changes, they would just push it out as a .x update with very little press about it, except communication to developers that they have another option... a worse, less secure, and potentially more costly option for developers, lol, but another option. Always look forward to WWDC to see what's coming to the next generation of software.

I've always found this outlook to be kinda far off from what is safe to presume Apple is going for with their market reach. Pricier products are obviously not targeted for the poor. Think about a 2024 BMW M3 - it's probably not a realistic buy for an 18 year old that works 20 hours a week at McDonald's, right? A fully maxed out Mac Book Pro for $8,000 is probably not a wise purchase for the average person with $300 in their bank accounts, right?

I think 3000 is not realistic and would not be commercially smart. It would be accessible to very few people. If the purchase price were lower / more accessible and, for example, combined with a monthly user subscription (such as apple arcade) then they would earn much more from it

I joined PIA because of you and it was a big mistake. PIA😂 was a pain and support was horrible. While using them, the websites said I was in Japan or other countries while having my VPN in the US. Even the cost of things were in the YEN. Support blamed everything on every one but themselves. When I changed VPN's that issue disappeared.

Solutions in search of a problem is not progress. The AR is another level of them being able to mine your data for commercials. This is why they tried to put cameras on consoles and tv’s. Would be a way to follow your every move and what you looking at so they can design another way to show effective advertising. You should do some research. They wouldn’t wast billions for a decade if it wasn’t so promising to revolutionize the advertising business. If you follow advertising technology and where people are trying to go all this useless “tech” would make perfect sense. They can improve software side of things for next 10 years to make our life easier and better without one single hardware upgrade jet that wouldn’t make them profit, would it.
