You have some MAD editing skills, like no other channel I watch. This could easily be a Saturday morning TV show. Thank You for taking the time to do the single leaf, footstep, scenery shots too. I know it is a lot of work to set up a camera on shore, paddle past then go back and get it, but it is worth it for the content you create, the highest quality on KZbin. Hope you are well, Xander, physically and mentally, and I hope you continue working with nature to keep yourself healthy. Thanks Again, looking forward to more!

Great video as always Xander. Thanks for sharing once again. Kind of a special one for me/us….we were the couple that was going into George as you were leaving it to go toward Killarney Lake. We met you there, chatted briefly with you and your family and then promptly capsized. We made it back, but did stop to change into our very last dry clothes, as you suggested. We had planned on a 4 night trip, but we did not properly equip ourselves for that kind of weather. 55K winds, wind chills of minus 4, nonstop rain……..it was a cold, wet night, but we still loved it! Decided to be safe and pull the plug. Great to meet you all. We’ve been fans ever since and are binge watching all your videos. They truly are spectacular.

"Forever" or "Forever Golden" for your boats name Here's why: It's 17', 17 years old was a golden time for us. We are all approaching adulthood, seeking adventure, always looking forward to another adventure. Plus we always had at least one friend/partner with us, and this is a 2 person canoe. The canoe itself encapsulates having friendship, adventure, beauty (it's a gorgeous canoe plus the adventure is towards nature's beauty) and that will Forever be it's purpose. Additionally, I think you want to do this forever, your passion is so enjoyable to watch. People that maintain that 17 year old energy into their final days are very enjoyable people. (maybe not the 17 year old immaturity but at least the "playful" energy). And what you're doing is "play". I'm a country kid and my childhood memories consistent of catching various animals, building shelters, making fires, canoeing or kayaking, fishing, hunting, trapping, trapping, hiking, star gazing, sunset watching, the list goes on. Point being a 17' canoe being multi person focused means your goal is to share these memories with another and 17 was the time to do it for me. The age before adulthood got too intense to continue but I had maximized those childhood skills. Take it for what you will.

Such a great feelgood episode. I've watched both you and Jon share some incredible trips and experiences with your fathers. I, too, was able to canoe some waters as a young boy with both my maternal grandfather and my dad. This type of content helps me reflect on those fond memories, but also makes me sad at the same time. Being ~50 years old, it's tough to watch my father's health and mental well being slowly diminish, but I'm thankful for the small adventures we once had. Thanks Xander. Cheers.

Sadly none of go anymore due to various "reasons". Some of the best lessons and memories are made in the absolute worst conditions. There's nothing worse then canoeing in the rain, setting up and tearing down the next day in the rain, for days straight. I wish I was in my 20's again. Banana Boat!
