Well Kon, I'm happy to see that still exist some people like you that take care of your DDR machines, but here in Brazil this kind of machines is the most rare thing and are literally few that are disappearing fastest that you can imagine.

I have had this machine for like 3 years. It cost $1000. All my other arcade machines have cost significantly less.

These DDR pads are ready to restored this game! Congrats!

Oh yes, the pad layout is almost identical on most of those games so you can do the same trick on all dance games pretty much. That L bracket is the big factor in if you can or not, so if a game doesn't have it, it really depends.

Hey buddy, long time DDR fan here. Any ideas on how I can locate myself a cab? I love the vintage models (in FL) finally have some money to buy one since I'm older now.. lol

All I can say is "Good Luck". They're getting pretty rare nowadays and they are going for stupid expensive prices. At a minimum expect to pay $4k but realistically expect to pay closer to $6k for anything in decent shape at this point. Best places to look are still craigslist, facebook marketplace and buy/sell music game groups on facebook. Some arcade auctions usually have them but expect to pickup or go out of state for something. The market for used DDR games is really in a bad spot and it will only get worse. The best time to buy was before 2020.

Great Job with That! and those Pad tips could be really helpful.... Can those tricks also work on ITG , PIU, and DDR X and Up Machines?

Any chance if you can do a live stream of Dancing Stage Euromix 2? I miss this game and I even would like one in my house.

I'm picking one of these up Tommorow, a 4th mix machine, that's been sitting for 6 years apparently, So i'm assuming it's got issues. do you have any good resources to fix/mod these?

Kon, I hope you reply to this. Needing some help regarding my machine. I have a korean cab (please don't hate me) and I am noticing a red tint appearing on my monitor so I think it may be going bad. Where would I be able to buy a new monitor that is compatible for my machine? Your response would be greatly appreciated. ;w ; Thanks!

Are you using a 573 or a PC with Stepmania/OpenITG?
@tails64dsntchannel8
@tails64dsntchannel8 6 жыл бұрын
you probably want to mess with the RGB pots on the back of the monitor before replacing it, also if the tint is only on some places of the screen (i.e. the corners) it might just need a good degauss.

I can't believe you have a machine! How much did you get your original machine for? I cannot afford it but eventually I might look into buying one!

Kon, is there an arcade monitor you'd recommend to use for extreme? My original monitor that came with my machine is quite fuzzy and I was considering getting a replacement for a more clear screen.

Just try to get a tri-sync. Also know you need to make sure the monitor you buy supports 15khz.

6:40 ...I cannot approve of the card trick. while it seems like a good immediate fix, over time the cards are going to splinter and destroy the sensors, they need to be replaced with a moderate compression foam. Otherwise you`re going to be spending a loooot of money replacing them.
@omg_kon
@omg_kon 10 жыл бұрын
I have done this for years and have had ZERO problems with how I mod the pads with cards. In fact I believe it actually helps the sensors last longer because it extends how long the L bracket is horizontally.

I don't know why you would want to do that but I know how to. You can use a J-Pac but there are better adapters now that will interface the lights.
