I am impressed the lower portion of the ‘engine bay’ is black including the turbo and inter-cooling system. The red rocker cover I like on the upper portion and it’s truely masterful and awesome. I want it for future projects and not just Barra and not just red.

In general... Silver reflects heat, black absorb and imitate infra-red radiation /heat. Means, a black heatshield will get hotter and will give away more heat to the surroundings. But without a hood it really doesn't matter.
