One thing to watch out in contracts is when a brand wants to use your name and likeness In perpetuity. That means FOREVER. Don’t let them have that for free. It is ok to come back to the brand and ask to make changes in the contract.

I would say it depends on the opportunity. You can always negotiate but most companies will provide what they are willing to pay to small streamers up front. Going back with a counter offer wont hurt your chances however:)

My small opinion as usual (I have no experience to cite here, it's just my thoughts) A sponsorship is supposed to aid each side, the business as well as the content creator. Notice that you shouldn't go below the value of what you're providing, but still realize that you are replacable if you're handling this wrong. Nobody would want to overpay you for something that won't make any profits. If your goal is to negotiate, evaluate how much you can expect, look for a goal amount and try to get as close to that as you can without being unreasonable. To make it short, don't sell yourself for nothing and don't charge more than you provide.

how do you check if a sponsor is legit? ive had a second hand account message me telling me to check out their other account(they actually had posts and followers there, seemed real enough to me) i also only have around 100 followers and dont post very often with very little engagement, so it seems kinda weird to me

I would say do your research online about the company/product. Look over the deal they are offering and READ the contract thoroughly. If they are asking for personal sensitive info or anything that raises red flags. Get out of there!

I wouldn't say having a sponsor as a small streamer will necessarily help you grow. But many sponsors ive worked with have provided a lot of support. Focus on the growth first. Sponsors later:)

All of these tips are good and true, but until you have a kinda massive audience no sponsor will reach out to you. I'm almost a medium sized streamer at Twitch 500 avg viewers and always the sponsors reaching out to me, none of them answering me when i'm the one who making the contact. Also KZbin is waaay more valuable in their eyes then Twitch. I have a really small yotube channel and still the sponsors intrested more in that rather then in my Twitch channel. So TLDR: awsome tips but but you need good content and a good amount of viewers/subscreibers to be intresting to a sponsor.

Thanks for the comment pal! I don’t think that’s always the case. I did my first sponsored stream when I was averaging about 30 viewers and it went great. I think it depends on the sponsor. Of course all deals are different and some big sponsors don’t want to engage with smaller creators but I do think it’s changing slowly but surely:) So it helps to understand this kind of think at any size I guess! And ofcourse I’m just reading the answers provided to me in the video:) Thanks for the kind words by the way! Appreciate that.
