Had one of these as my first bike when they came out in 2008, great bike you could get over 70mph on a flat road Great video as always

I ve just bought one, lucky enough to have found a 0 km 60 th anniversary. This bike is just gorgeous, fantastic colour scheme. Just wanted this one and no other
@GillyBikes10 күн бұрын
I can see why. These in my opinion are the nicest looking sports bikes out there. Absolute works of art. 😍
@christophepregardien811710 күн бұрын
Totally agree. It's a mix of classy and sporty with a classic touch. There is nothing to add or throw away. Yamaha iconic blue is nice but this special edition has something of its own making it quite apart. Very happy to have found maybe the last 0 km 60th gp anniversary available in Belgium. As you said, it's worth every penny or euro 😉

Love the videos mate, have you ridden the newest generation yzfr125?

Cheers mate. This is the newest one I’ve tried. On a 2022 plate.

Mr Gilly your enthusiasm and love for bikes is heartfelt by me especially as a brand new rider your glee and expression is palpable, just like a kid encountering the Globe we call Earth 🌏. I think you should have an offshoot channel called Gilly the Kid. Where older bikes are expressed through you. Good idea huh😉. Bestest Bike channel. 🏆
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
Thanks mate I appreciate that. 😁. A second channel might be something I look at in the future but not yet. I barely have time to look after this one. 😂. Hopefully one day I can do it full time. 👏

Nice review mate, I recently was given a demo of a new Itaijet dragster 125 scooter with an Titanium akro pipe and chip, which my local dealer acquired for the Dave day run out, and it went like stink, these modern 125's are not as fast as they used to be but wow they still shift if they are around the full 15 bhp mark as this one was
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
The italjet is one of the few scooters I’ve still not tried. I expect them to be fast based on the styling 😎

Loving the 125 reviews , would love to see a zontes ZT125-C cruiser review if you get your hands on one , coz I'm torn between that and the Voge 125r you reviewed , I'm leaning to the zontes for the comfort but not many reviews on KZbin
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
I’m desperate to try the Zontes cruiser. They look really good. I’ve just not had chance yet. Have you not seen the Keeway v-cruise or the RKV. They are great options as well.
@BDV2.0Ай бұрын
@@GillyBikes yes, but they are 4 1/2 grand whereas zontes is £2,899 so don't wanna go above £3k really
@MegaNaytonАй бұрын
Mark Pulling did a great review on the ZT125 C he did 2 videos if i remember correctly a walk around and then a in-depth review. Maybe give that a watch and see what you think. When i was watching videos on the Honda forza Gilly and Mark pretty much said the same things and after watching both videos they pretty much sold the scooter to me. Hopefully Gilly gets to test ride one soon
@BDV2.0Ай бұрын
@@MegaNayton yes I've seen those , but the rest were Spanish or Italian lol , need to watch 4 or 5 British reviewers to get a good idea , seem many in the voge 125r which is a contender for me
@MegaNaytonАй бұрын
@BDV2.0 I know exactly what you mean when I was looking at the Sym Jetx all I could find was Mark's video and the rest were reviews in Spanish or a language I didn't recognise 😅

Nice video and a lovely bike 60 mph in fourth quite easily it would seem The latest version of this engine is even better than the previous one with improved bottom end and top end Suzy GSXR Is the only serious competition on top speed Other than the Mito and the RS of course, if you can find one

Hopefully I can test a GSXR soon and anything else I can get my hands on 😂

i do love a 125 perfect for town and big citys. if only more people got into bikes these days. Imagine been a 17yo and weighing next to nothing this would be a right machine to pose on and quick as ! CBR was nice as well!
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
It was my dream at 17. The shocking truth now though is insurance is just to expensive. I would bet most 17 year olds wouldn’t have a hope in hell insuring one. 😭
@michaelwade1092Ай бұрын
@@GillyBikes Thats so sad, i never even thought that would of been a reason, but i guess in these daays its probably true. what a place, you cant even be young and cool anymore
@MegaNaytonАй бұрын
@@michaelwade1092 yep its shocking the prices i have seen what some 17 year old's have been quoted its borderline a joke. When a 3k bike on a cbt can cost as much or if not more than most would pay on insurance for their first car then we know something is wrong and any future riders will be put off with the costs of buying a bike. I'm 29 don't drive i got into biking beginning of this year lucky i was stupid and didn't do any insurance quotes prior to buying my bike as it would have put me off entirely and i wouldn't have passed my CBT and found how much i really like being on 2 wheels and how much i love riding into Wales. £3300 was my first bike and insurance was £1100 TPFT only 1 company was that low the rest wanted £2000+ how can a 125cc cost this much to insure and how do they expect a young starting out adult to pay those prices

Re seat height, would have been handy to see you try both feet at once, rather than keeping one leg on the pegs. Thanks man and your videos are really good and helpful 🙂 Dame Enda 😅 Did the Gsxr125 do the 60mph test? They say it's the bestt power to weight ratio on the Suzuki.

Looks great for a skinny youth , but wouldn’t fancy riding one myself , they would have to un seize my back, knee & wrist joints to lift me off it . I can also see it drawing the attention of thieving toe rags & vandals . I should imagine the insurance quotes on this bike for any new young rider , to be prohibitive .
@GillyBikesАй бұрын
I felt ok when I got off it. I think you’re right about the insurance. Unlikely a 17yr would get insurance or be able to afford it.
@maskedavenger2578Ай бұрын
@@GillyBikes I doubt if you would feel ok , if you rode it at 70 years of age , suffering from arthritis & COPD . It’s one for the middle age collector with disposable income to use as an occasional summer days toy to scratch local B roads for the odd half hour .

Luv the channel but you do leave the clutch in along time when waiting in traffic or just talking drives me mad. Apart from that great vids👍👍

Lots of Numptys do that. I believe it's a new thing in preparation for potentially getting rear ended by cars. Drives me up the wall too

I think it’s me being paranoid. So many bikes getting stolen by local scroats. I always leave myself ready for a quick get away.

I have seen lots of people getting jumped for their bikes whilst stuck in traffic. So I would rather be a numpty that keeps his bike rather than a numb nuts that thinks it will never happen. 🫶
