Yamaha XSR700 Rizoma Vs. NOT Rizoma mirrors-Test ride/first impression (Un-edited, one take)

Ok, here is the follow-up test ride to my unboxing video comparing the Rizoma bar-end mirror ($93 per mirror) vs. the Amazon knockoff "Kemimoto" ($35 per set). I was initially not too impressed with the Rizoma, especially since they don't even come with the bar end-weight for mounting, but after just a few miles of riding, they seem very high quality. Worth 5x what the Amazon cost? I'm not quite sold, but I'll be putting a couple hundred more miles on them both just to be sure. I'll also swap them to see if the vibration is consistent on on the throttle side. Thanks for watching!!

Great video JJack! You definitely need to do the speedo relocation from Giles...I freaking love it...makes seeing the speedo so much easier (no looking down) and getting your key in/out is also so much better...as for me...I think my next mod may be getting those handlebars you're rocking...they look great..keep up the XSR700 content

Jay_Mills I could definitely do that. I don’t think I have the factory bulb, so a comparison might be tricky, but I’ll at least do a short test ride showing beam coverage/projection.

Yeah, I just want to see the throw and ground cover of the light. Don't worry about the stock bulb.. I still have mine in so I know what it looks like.

Hello Greg! I just used some plastic auto body panel plugs I had laying around. Actually worked perfectly. You can find a set of various sizes at any auto parts store.

Christian Pinango Hello Christian! To be honest, I don’t have much comparison with the stock mirrors. I replaced them within a week of getting this bike, along with the handlebars. I can say, however, that they are super clear and keep their position incredibly well. I have not adjusted them once since I installed them. Highly recommend. Thanks for watching!!

Hi Jack! I hace exactly the same bike and just installed the same mirrors (kemimoto), but the rounded ones) The thing is that i just miss a lot the original Yamaha weights at the end of the handlebar, mine is more vibrating and “loose”, and that causes my hands “falls sleep”, you know? Victor Alvarez Martinez Hi Victor! Yeah, I think with any bar-end setup you’ll feel an increase in vibration, even high-end names like Rizoma. The lack of those factory weights is a bummer, but I don’t feel it too much with the ProTaper. As for the loosening, you may try some mild loc-tite. Should help a bit. Thanks for watching!
