The FZ6 is rad. I love mine. It has the R6 forks and Race Tech shock, along with some other choice upgrades. The powerband is just my thing, coming from a 2-stroke background. Evidently it appeals to some touring guys, so that's maybe where the heated grip thing comes from. The exhaust poking out from under the seat is a sweet cherry on top. I'm a dad rider who doesn't fit onto your list, but you could say veteran mid-life crisis rider who seeks thrills in a world full of bs.

22 year old Fz6 rider here, I love this machine for the sound and its power band, I also tracked it and ended up intermediate with the stock shitty suspension then changed to aftermarket front springs with oil and a YSS rear shock... 2 track days later advanced group. Still getting a gsxr 750 in the future though.

I’m a mashup of wrecked 600 and F4i guy. I didn’t wreck it, but I did get an ‘01 F4i from salvage auction. The rebuild has been a pain, but I love the challenge. So much so, I now have a ‘00 929RR to do when I’m done with the F4i.

@@AJTurbo it only has 20 hp less, it has the same inline 4 engine but the ergonomics are much more comfortable. It's different that the others 600, the biggest downside of the 600s is the poor down low grunt and the uncomfortable ergonomics, the CBR650R has upgraded these things

As an F4 owner, I can confidently say that every F4i I came across while looking for a bike was in mint condition and $4,000-$10,000 for bikes 15-20 years old depending on miles. Glad that I got the carbureted version cuz I won’t feel bad when I blow it up and get a cross-plane R1 cuz a quarter horsepower/lb just isn’t enough for the street.

I started on a 96 Bandit 600 after having it for about a year and putting 2500 miles on it I sold it and bought a 02 Cbr 600 F4i. Its more comfortable than I was expecting and pretty damn fast for my experience level.

5 n a half years on my 750 No tickets and yes I ride year round ☺️ After flash and remapping I have 125hp at the wheel. Maintenance is a religion Starting with weekly chain clean & lube Whole bike lookover Make sure everything is tight and right. Then ride miles for any and all reasons 🥳

All that is left, are 45+ old guys, still cruising along with their HD's, Indians and BMW's .But I do love the quietness at this time of year on the road with my RT, LOL! Dude, you should get one, they are pretty sweet! The suspension is a bit soft and bouncy, yeah, but the comfort, and that beautiful beautiful engine sound! And did I mention that they can be had for really cheap? I paid $3,000 for my '07 with just over 9,000 miles on the clock! (Oops, you caught me. Yeah, I'm an unashamed FZ6 boi 😅)

Got a buddy with an f4i, flashed ecu, upgraded sprockets, 2 bros exhaust. Put a good few seasons worth of track time on it, litre bike boyz absolutely hate him and his ability to catch up and take them on the turns, every time they get away on the str8s. He still squids the bike proper, just not as often as he used to. His plastics are far from pristine too btw.

I love my 2021 500r, as a starter bike, I feel it will last me at least 1-2 years. And I'll prob never sell it. It's such a comfortable commuter, I already put 2k miles in first month. Been on some 4 he rides so issues. Yes it's heavier and slower and more expensive than a 400, but I couldn't find a 400 for 5 months and ended up loving the 500r. The added weight means the wind never bothers or touches me on the highway. I would highly recommend the 500r to a beginner rider that wants something a little more refined and heavier than the 400. Not as cramped as the 400 either.

Had my 2016 500R for 3 years as my starter also. Loved it a lot and learned a lot with it. I now ride a Husky 701, but I'll tell ya I was a lot more comfortable taking the corners at higher speeds and with more aggressive lean angles on my 500R than the 701. I just haven't been able to fully adjust to the longer suspension still even after a whole riding season. Leaning over on the 701 still scares me a bit whereas I had no problem throwing the 500R deep into a corner. Though to be fair I wasn't riding my 500R the same way at the 3 year mark with it as I was even at the end of my first riding season, so... Anyway, great starter bike, beautiful, definitely gets left behind a lot by others for no real good reason.
