Honda is less comfortable and less torque- engines have different characters.
@englishsteel-nz6im9 ай бұрын
Not at all. If you flash the GSX8R and put on an exhaust you gain 10-14 HP and it offers way more torque and bite than the anemic CBR650R. It'll blow it off the track and twisties.
@someoneelse1i1i9 ай бұрын
@@grtbgf I disagree that the Honda is less comfortable. Almost the exact same riding position on the cbr650r as he demonstrates here (about as close to a naked bike as you can get in a sport bike). There is less torque but I prefer the top end speed for the ease on the engine at highway speeds and the Honda is significantly faster with more horsepower. I like the idea the 8R but just don’t see it as an improvement.

A lot of people in these times forget the old school rule from the early days of sportbikes. Whatever the size of the V-twin cut that displacement in half and that gives you the 4-cylinder equivalent. So just like this thing....800cc twin....give you about 400 cc 4-cylinder levels of power. Maybe a little more with modern efficiency. Hence the old Superbike rule for Ducati running twins they could be twice the size for half the cylinders. My 1993 FZR 600 made more power than these things.
