I once saw a local ad for a WHEELCHAIR compatible Hayabusa. It was quite the amazing thing to behold. The entire thing was modded out to accommodate a wheelchair user. No idea how they actually operated it as I'm assuming their legs weren't working???, but it was impressive AF. Once a busa boy, always a busa boy, no matter what. lol

Regards the 999...the items you noted are well within the capabilities of most DIY motorbike owners. IIRC, the fuel pump assembly was used by several other companies making FI bikes at the time, and not expensive to source a new one. What would concern me, is that at 33K, it may be due for a valve check/adjust and belts. Depending on who you get to do the work, it's an easy $1000. I owned a 2007 S4R Monster and my mechanic (for the valve stuff) said he made his rent working on Ducatis people bought "cheap". Still, that 999 could be a fantastic track bike. Get the price down to $3K, budget $1500 for the rest, still a good deal (assuming there is noting else major wrong with it). Critical would be service records.

@rustypotatos8 ай бұрын
get the 500 at the beginning, the 1100 is 100 pounds heavier. Obviously the 1100 is two times as big but they probably drive the same speed. Always get the smaller one at the start so you are not stuck with it if you do not like it or if something happens to it you don’t really want it being heavier and more expensive. Rely on your skills rather then the bike having reduced power settings. Honestly you will not hit full power on the 500 for a while until you are realy comfy
