Your TechSpec grips changed my riding style and comfort a couple years back. Excellent video! I’m sharing it with my 600 brethren. Only different mod I did besides all this was ProGrip sponge gel clipon grips. This content was so good I’m spending money on the store! There isn’t a new rider that I haven’t told about your channel to. Lots of them already know it though. YamFamJam, ok my bad

Honestly, I’ve dailied a 2006 cbr600rr, and now I daily a 2021 cbr1000rr, and the difference is insane. I make the same amount of torque my 600 did at 3k rpm, so the whole lack of torque thing is completely remedied by a liter bike. The cbr is one of the torquier in-line four liter bikes, too, so that helps. I don’t ever have any problems with mine.

This is why I got a zx10r over a zx6r when I made the jump to a larger bike, I never wanted a liter bike until I rode the zx10r it's an amazing amazing amazing platform and feels incredible on the street. I changed the sprockets and brought the gearing ratio down just a bit and that made the 1st 2nd and 3rd gears a little shorter to make sense for the street seeing as the zx10r tops 1st gear at over 100mph 😆 anyone looking to get a 600 should definitely try out a liter bike especially if you get one with power modes. You can restrict it through that to operate like a 600 then work your way up. Keep safe everyone 💚💪

Bad, Bad advice for so many young riders starting out, Do "NOT" go and buy a 1000cc Super bike! Your probably under 25 yourself if I had to guess, with you giving such good advice and all..😂 Yeah get a 180-200HP 1000cc bike instead of a 120+HP 600cc bike, Which is still NOT a good beginner bike choice either and still very fast and can get you into plenty of trouble, even if your an experienced rider.. Do you really think most 18-21 year old novice riders would have the self control to keep the power mode set to "low" power, Hell after like a week or so, and perhaps some might hold out for a month or so before becoming over confident in their abilities and thus likely becoming reckless, even on 600cc super sport, much less a 1000cc 200HP machine.. Hell when I bought my first 600cc(637cc) CBR at the age of 20, it was set up as a track bike with a 2.2mm overbore Wiseco piston kit and cams, Well I drove about 500 miles to buy it and rode it back and within 2 hours I was on the highway doing like 160.. Again I had ridden dirt bikes and smaller street bikes since I was about 7 years old, but this was my first truly fast bike.. Point is I was 20 and within just a couple hours of owning the bike I was doing 160MPH, like so many at that age you think your almost invincible in a way and can be careless.. Lets not even get into the cost of buying a new or newish 1000cc bike that actually comes with power modes, anti Wheelie modes and traction control, then the freaking outrageous insurance cost for those bikes in a state that requires it.. Even a 600cc super sport is not a good starter bike, and if one chooses to buy one anyways, you should buy a used one, as there will be a good chance it's going to be laid down at some point, so better to spend like $3-4k on a used 600, than $12k on a new one and then end up laying it down, or worse yet total it..

@@contridictionv2195 if you've ever ridden anything like a dirt bike or something and you put it in low power with full traction control you'll probably be okay as long as you take it easy for a while. A 600 can be tame it's more about how easily it can be abused and you have to have the self control to take it easy which isn't easy lol. BUT if you've never ridden anything and haven't even learned to use a clutch yet, I'd get a used 400 or similar for a season and you can sell it for basically what you paid the next year

Don't forget lowered foot pegs that get your knees out of a bind. So much more comfortable. And for anyone curious one tooth smaller on the front sprocket is equal to three teeth larger on the rear sprocket. Doing this has a great effect on the bike but also can cause chain link count issues which can put your wheel way far back to make the chain fit properly. This will add length to the wheel base and affect handling

I definitely preferred my XSR700 for around town and general below 70mph riding. Fast off the line and torque feels great and took effort to break speed limits, easier to throw around for evasive maneuvers riding it like a supermoto. But it's a boring backroad high speed twisties and highway bike. If I solely used the bike for commuting to work it'd be perfect in that aspect and most of us don't have room for multiple bikes with the insane cost of living right now and add on cost of maintenance/tires they get expensive quick if you rack on miles.

Yammie has a vendetta out against 600s, seriously every video he bashes on them. With any amount of research people KNOW that super sports are fast and aggressive and uncomfortable. I’ve always wanted an r6 growing up, so when I was old enough I got one as my first bike. And I’m 5’4! It was intimidating at first mostly because of my height. Speed isn’t so much of an issue if you have throttle control and mental control over wanting to go fast. Yeah it’s not as comfortable as a more upright bike, yeah it was a little more difficult to learn on than a 300. But I don’t regret a thing. It sounded great, looked great, and I grew into the bike and was fully comfortable after a couple riding seasonings. I dailyed it to work and went for cruises for fun on the weekends. If you’re a new rider, get the bike you want. Trust me. Just do the research and know what to the getting into and control yourself. It will pay off when you can keep the same bike for years and never get tired of it after a few months. Any new driver could get a Ferrari as their first car and never take it above 65. It’s all about self control same with bikes.

The gearing and can really ride it for all it’s worth and too me I like to reach close to a bikes limits. I raced so Depending on conditions I’d take a 600 over a 1000 on track. Motocross I take a 250 over 450 every time for most conditions it’s just more fun to use gears and wring a bike out. I love naked bikes, sumo/dual sport /adventure daily though.

The twins are great street bikes. Ninja 650, R7, etc (sport, sport touring)..., the 4cyl supersports are a bit edgy for the street for the average guy. Not that they are unmanageable but that they have a more aggressive riding position (uncomfortable on the street) and the power is in the wrong place for street riding.
