Carlin is by far one of the most analytical & philosophical of American comedians. I especially recommend his rant on "soft-language"

This routine was played on the radio. The FCC fined the station for playing vulgar and obscene material. The station fought it all the way to the US Supreme Court which ruled it vulgar but not obscene therefore not illegal. After that George no longer used implied comedy he instead throw it in your face comedy

He was one of the last to be arrested after a show. And it's funny you said he looked young. He was in his 40s lol

This was from around 1977. Only 4 channels of television existed in the USA. The FCC did not allow any of those words on tv.

Yes believe it or not this was an HBO he partnered with HBO for years and years About HBO never came on until late in the afternoon. Off the one off the air until about 2:00 in the morning I remember when we first got cable about 1978 it was funny to see you when she showtime and HBO but they were not on 24 hours a day they only came out in the evening

In many ways, American network (as opposed to cable, satellite or pay) TV is still like this. There are words from this list that you can now finally use, but others for some reason are still considered worse. I don't know who made those rules that some words are bad or worse than others. They're all the same. It's the context that makes them good or bad. You can use a word that isn't a "swear" word and hurt someone a lot more than by using a word someone decided shouldn't be allowed.

You're right. I mean the sting may not be the same as a quick one-word swear, but if you can still describe what you said without the swears to the detail, did you still swear? I didn't say go f*** yourself, I said I hope you die alone...personally, of those two, I'd rather be sworn at.

@@YankeeRoyalReactionary... I understand, but this has nothing to do with copyright, the video is allowed and is up and running, it is just set too low.. I realize you can see it, but us on this end can not. Otherwise, keep up the good work.

This is classic George. The best in my opinion. His later stuff is just bitter and not as funny.

first you guy are loud and the video is not loud enough to here. the picture you are showing is too low for us to see. you need to fix the sound of what you are saying and the sound of the video you are showing. until you fix both of these problems, I will not look at your channel.
