One would unlikely get much if any yeast flavour from [this] short fermentation, in only 15 minutes - 45 minutes to 1 hour seems right then adding the baking powder for the additional required lift after the batter has reasonably doubled and noticeable activity has become evident
@Amandafusion14 ай бұрын
I hear what you are saying but leave it to long on crumpets and you wont get the reaction with the bubbles. This works well, and the more bubbles the more places for the butter to hide when eating. Thank you for watching, have a great week:)
@tristanrl19404 ай бұрын
@@Amandafusion1 apologies in advance but perhaps I misunderstood - did you not say in [your] video - that the bubbles would come from the baking powder? The baking powder is to be added into the batter but, only after the fermentation with the yeast has occurred and has completed. I’ve tried this Warburton recipe and there were little to no bubbles. I’m now getting the proper amount of bubbles forming making use of yet another recipe, but the cooking process on the hob takes entirely too much time and as a result, the bottoms inevitably get scorched whilst the tops look spot on - am well Flummoxed
@Amandafusion14 ай бұрын
@@tristanrl1940 Hi there , no worries❤I hear your frustration , getting the temperature right is key.
