This gentle stretching workout will help improve your flexibility, circulation, and posture and relieve stress. It can be done any time of day and before or after any yes2next exercise video. Perfect for seniors and beginner exercisers.
As we age, it is more important to stretch regularly to combat the loss of mobility and flexibility that naturally happens. We recommend making stretching part of your daily routine -- at least three times a week or everyday if you can.

I’m 53 and in post-menopause and was looking for gentle stretches for my sore, morning joint pain and this was perfect! I love your relationship with your mom - it made me miss my mom who I lost 3 years ago. Looking forward to checking out more of your videos!

YES, exactly, I'm barely middle aged but my body is so inflexible that all the other 'stretching for beginners' videos on youtube were just too difficult to even begin the moves, too painful and impossible. These stretches here are perfect. I almost fee like this video would benefit from having its title changed to "Gentle Stretching for Inflexible people and Seniors, Beginner Exercises"

At 70 years of age I’ve started doing these stretches and some of your other exercises. I can’t tell you what a difference it’s made. I feel great plus getting a bit of shape back is fantastic. I really enjoy doing this everyday now, I won’t be stopping anytime soon either. Many thanks.

I'm 68 and was in pretty good shape until I was diagnosed with cancer last year. It required surgery and I've been working hard to get back to a good physical fitness routine. This video has been part of that recovery. I appreciate your gentle approach and the inclusion of your mother. I'm not sure I could handle watching a gung-ho super jock every day for months on end, but I really enjoy joining you, your cat, and your mother.

I am 74 and love stretching along with the two of you. It is so helpful to see the little lady my own age participating too. I have been doing 10 minutes daily of your videos for several months. I find it reassuring to see the loving energy between the two of you and the way that you just notice the cat and let the cat do her thing. God bless you both.

I am 59 years and haven't stretched. I feel the need too now as I am feeling a lot of aches and pains. I'm going to try your stretching excercises. Hope to feel the energy again. Thx for sharing the video.

I really enjoy your simple work outs (& the cat). I love that you have "Mom" with you, and the way you look at her and sort of check up on her. I am also a senior citizen and kinda watch her as much as I watch you. I love the way you have just enough "banter" between you , not enough to distract, just right. Keep on doing what you do. (the photo is not me!!) P.S.-I notice that Mochi actually does some stretching, too--on Mom's sneaker sometimes!!

I’m 62 & having joint & muscle issues related to medications. Doctor advised me to try 5-10 minutes of stretches a couple of times a day. I just found & followed this video & I’m beyond thrilled with it. Simple & easy, but can feel the stretch. I’ve subscribed & plan to dig into a few more as my body allows. Thank you so much!!

Love you videos. Started with the 25 minutes dance/walk one, have now added the gentle cardio and the stretches, so now doing nearly an hour a day. Fell so much better for it. Brilliant during lockdown. Thank you.

Just getting started on a workout regime. I love this video. It's something I can do even if I've had trouble with a more vigorous workout that I maybe had to stop. I feel like I'm still doing something good for me! Thank you!

YES!! Do something good for you! That's the spirit. The fact that you are starting a workout regime is a cause for celebration. Just take it slow and at your own pace as you're doing. I have been doing the Yes2next video exercises since May of 2021. I love the variety to pick from: balance, cardio, stretching, bands, etc. The New Years Challenge program was great: It covered everything and is excellent for achieving cardio/strength weekly criteria. And I especially enjoyed Day 7 which presented stretching/breathing and basically relaxation exercises...it was great. Once the pandemic began my out-of-home exercise program was cancelled (still is) and I am so thankful for your videos and valuable input about why we are doing these exercises.

Very nice video; very personable women. I'm starting my mornings with this little stretch routine. I'm 71 and am so over getting up in the morning and being stiff and sore. Where will I be in five years?! I've also included a light weight routine, walking, eye exercises and Yoga for Seniors (DVD that I've used for five years). I think with consistent effort and a--more or less--plant-based diet, I'll be able to get rid of the joint pain and stiffness.

Hello Ladies! So glad I found your site. The exercises I started with are the stretching exercise for beginners. I am 74 and most days I feel like I am in my 60's. I need something to give me that feeling and I found it with your site. I have not been walking much for at least a year-no excuses! I want to get back to walking at least 1 1/2 miles to start and work my way back to 3 miles a day. I know I have a ways to go and believe I can get there with your variety of senior exercises.
