2 YEAR UPDATE: Started doing this exercise 2 years ago because my back was killing me and the doctors were no help. I saw the benefits immediately. In time started doing it every day, but after about 4 months or so, my back pain was completely gone, so I reduced it to 2 - 3 times a week. And it has been saving my life since then. I reached out and thanked Jen for this video so many times I think she is sick of me at this point. If you're gonna try anything, try this. I vouch with all my heart. And it also makes for an excellent bed time relaxation too. You'll feel so relaxed after this.

thank you for sharing this. I had an accident when walking my dog about 2 months ago, and my neck and shoulders are in such agony ever since. I got whiplash and a torn shoulder. I'm going to do this workout today.

This is honestly the only yoga video I go to because I IMMEDIATELY feel better! I started about a few years ago; on and off. I know that if I stayed consistent along with eating healthier (working on it) results would be way better but everytime my body feels like I need to stretch I do this and I feel 100 x's better! I used to be healthy, did yoga, and took great care of my body..somehow I lost it..gained 50lbs and am in constant pain.. it took me so long to even get the willpower to do this today, but what was even great was I found you.. there,are so many people out there that don't know what they are doing..I can say lying on my back after this was all done, I had a million tears streaming down my face..thank you for all you do, and when I build up where this video is easy, I can't wait to try your other ones..

The same case, after two years of not exercising, I started again today. I can't do the things I was in the state of eight, nine years ago when I started yoga. In two years, the stress has grown so much that I clench my teeth all day so much that my jaw hurts, it's even worse at night. I hope that soon I will find the peace in myself that I had when I was actively doing yoga

I love how she lingers in each pose for a long period of time. When I watch other yoga videos, I always feel like I'm rushing to keep up with the instructor. It feels good to work at a slower pace😌

Hey Jen, I started using this Yoga video for my back pain back I'm 2012 when I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Interstitial Cystitis. The back pain is the worst. To this day, I still use this video to lessen my back pain. It always helps and if I do it regularly, my pain is much more manageable. I just want Jen to know that I've been using this video for the past 12 years

I did a 30 min. bedtime sleep&relaxation routine before this, and my neck is constantly killing me with random, painful knots etc. so i decided to do this too, and I started to cry. Seriously. I've been so stressed, anxious and depressed for years, almmost decades now, and all this is helping more than years upon years of pointless therapy and dozens of different medications. Yoga might be the end of my misery, and therefore the end of my multiple medications and ailments. I love you people. Thank you

MouldySquid Couple of days ago I just googled yoga for sore back and one of PsycheTruth videos came up. I did the practise and in the end, in the fetal position, instructor said to be grateful for this moment you’re taking for yourself. I started to cry too. I cried for an hour or so. I have mental health problems too and I started to meditate and am now starting yoga on on my day to day life. I finally have hope for my mental and physical health. I hope this helps you too. Please keep crying when you feel like it and take care of yourself. It’s hard, I know, but do it for yourself ❤️

Yoga is great for back pain, but you should also try a chiropractor every once in a while. It’ll give you instant relief and then when you do your yoga you’ll feel extra peaceful. Also, they don’t prescribe medicine or anything so it’s all natural.

Ive been using the same few for over a year now, i am a young man age 26 and would highly recommend your teachings to all fellow young men of my age, as the majority of young men would not take a suggestion of practising yoga very seriously, which is a shame. The stretches starting at about 23:23 going to about 25:20 have completely cured the mid-back i have had for years,i only wish i had found this video sooner. It only took about a week to get rid of the pain. I now do these stretches every morning when i get up & right before i go to bed,i look forward to doing them each day. Thank You So Much Jen!

I have been doing this yoga for the last 5 years. When I first started I had terrible neck pain every day. I started doing this video every day for one week and my pain disappeared immediately after that. I would consider this video life-changing actually! I eventually got a memory foam mattress which helped a ton as well. I continue to use this video anytime I need a full-body stretch. It is the best video I have ever found. I do this and then a guided meditation and I am so relaxed, I fall asleep. 10/10 :) 👏

I back pain sciatic nerve pain all day long and I'm very overweight I decided to take control of my body. And this video really helped me today I will be doing this every other day until it's no longer a challenge for me to do. I find it hard for me to find peace and learn how to control my emotions, as a result I am creeping into the lane of high blood pressure ask headaches and sever back pain. My bones are extremely tight and I want to feel free and not a prisoner in my own body. I can honestly say that I feel looser and more calmer and my spirit. Resumed working as a floor nurse after a surgery and poor health. My neck, shoulders, and back kill me daily. This definitely helped alleviate a lot of tension and pain. I really love this video. The instructions are clear, your voice is so calming and the background music relaxes my muscles. I followed through the poses, and I do feel better, but my back still feels like it is not stretched far enough. Is there a stronger pose to stretch my back muscles? I think my head tends to look down in the day when staring at the computer and my back sinks into my soft mattress during sleeping. So i feel my back needs far more stretch.

I was stuck in bed from Thurs, Jan 2 until Wed, Jan 8 with a stiff neck. It was truly horrible. I finally found this video and the next day when I woke up, it was the first time I experienced real relief. Doing it again today as maintenance from working in front of a computer all day. Perfect practice! Also discovered A LOT of tension in my glutes and hips which could very well be throwing my whole back off. Highly recommend!! This is the type of session I'd gladly pay $20 per class for and we get it free in our living rooms. Thank you!

Jen, thank you for this gentle and effective practice. You have the clearest diction with a lovely soothing voice, explaining everything slowly. The whole video is meditative which the majority of yoga teachers on KZbin don't achieve, so very well-done! The background music matches your style and voice and is lovely. The fact that you look like a real (beautiful, normal weight) woman and not an impossible twiglet is an additional appeal to your channel. I myself suffer from chronic back pain after child labor I thought I would have to just accept this being my life. I am suffering from nerve damage in my arms, to the point of it being a crippling pain, and this video actually helped alleviate some of that pain. I am pretty sure if I were to stick with it, I can be better in no time using videos like this as a guide.

Hey Jen, I've now been doing this one for 3 years and 8 months. It's the first yoga I ever did and it's still my favourite; it is my litmus that shows how far I have come each time I return. If I have made my back bad and nothing else I do can fix it, I can always rely on this video to be the reset switch that I need. Maybe it's something to do with the muscle memory I have of it now, maybe it's the nose breathing, maybe it's just the best video. Third week into the lockdown of the country when even visiting parks is forbidden, all the gyms are closed. Working from home and staying at home started causing so much back pain. I want to thank Jen for this great practice which tremendously has reduced the pain after two sessions. Will continue to do it each day!

Jen after doing yoga for years I must say this video though is slow but is the most effective for shoulder and back pain. Love this and is super effective. Your other video on headache is good too. Thank you Jen.

I’ve been doing some yoga stretches for sciatica only. But this video by far helps the whole body. Super amazing for stiff neck, body aches etc 👏🏻🤗

Thank you so much for the slow, seated, easier but amazing yoga. I am so thankful for this. After my car accident I’m always getting discouraged by how difficult and intense videos are and I don’t know how to make them easier. I just feel helpless knowing I’m unable to do them. This was the first time I felt empowered and relaxed and less in pain after a yoga session.

Thank you so much for making this. Just had a very difficult day at work and felt rather low on the commute home. So glad I didn't just sit down to watch netflix before falling asleep. These stretches elevated my mood and my alleviated so much of the stress that has been building in my back. Hooked!

Thank you for this video. It has been a while that I am following you and doing your videos, but this one is really the best. Immediately, after doing this now, my back pain which I am suffering for a few weeks already was somehow relieved. I will do this again this week! I have a question though. I really wanted to do Yoga religiously but where do I actually start is my problem. Can you please guide me? I am 38 years old and really wanted to have a healthier lifestyle. Thank you in advance!

I live with chronic pain in my back and hips. I also have chronic injury in my piriformis muscle. Lately all of it has been flaring up and I've had spasms all up my spine and it's been so hard to sleep, even though I am active and do yoga, beginner ballet, and lots of walking. Chiropractic treatments help, but not for long-term. This video has had my whole body feel relaxed and at ease. I can't thank you enough. I will be doing this at least a couple times a week.

Amazingly helpful yoga routine, its really starting to help my back pain after the third session, I can finally feel some slight yet tangible relief. People with chronic back pain, don't give up if it hurts too much, force yourself through it and things will start to improve each time you do the session. Trust me, its worth the effort! And to Jen, she's a charismatic and calm teacher with a soothing and persuasive voice, as well as a beautiful and enchanting vibe. Might be the first yoga practitioner who's vibe has drawn me back to retry the session a number of times now. Thanks Jen, you're great!

I've been having back trouble for a while. I just graduated army basic training. And my body more stiff then ever. I know you commented this 7 months ago. But I was curious of your progress assuming your continuing to do this. I have a tough time even getting activation from my back. Most stretches I do for "the back" don't even stress my back. How long does it take beofre your back muscles wake up and you can start to feel the burn again ?

I am so glad I found this yoga video. Th pain started as a crook feeling in my neck, then the pain traveled downwards toward the right side of my shoulder blade. I went to the doctor and took medication but hated the way it made me feel...grogginess. I tried this video and the pain was gone!! I am sold! Thank you so much! Stay Blessed 🙏
