Thank you Adriene and your video makers. I am 62 and did a fair bit of yoga in my 20's and early 30's. I have just this week begun again attending a class twice a week and following along with your video's each morning. It is easing my moments of anxiety and depression. I thank you again and hope I can stick with it.

I can recommend some poses for high blood pressure - forward fold are good, seated postures, bridge pose, etc- and of course everyone is different. I have been wanting to do a sequence for this as high blood pressure runs in my family. The new series "Embrace It" will include sequences with a theraputic approach. I will add this to the list, thank you! Stay tuned. xx

Thank you for saying "no toxic thoughts" at the end. I'm doing yoga mostly to improve my mental health and balance but I'm still a beginner. You snapped me out of my unhelpful negative thoughts.

I feel like im in a simulation. I did tree pose on both sides!😮 my palms are sweating, which does not happen to me often😅 standing with my leg in the air was harder than tree. Also first time feeling that type of burn in my calfs😂 wow!🎉 Love June 27th 2023

I never really had any balance and I tend to carry more weight on one side of my body, and I never really thought that I was good at it. Whenever I would take yoga classes I would dread doing the standing poses because I would be off balance and feel embarrassed. But your video really helped! I always thought I just did not have that strong of a core, but what you said about lengthening up the spine is what I have been missing I swear! all of a sudden I can balance THANK YOU!!

Thank you for posting this superb video of Vrksasana. I find this one of the most difficult poses and your methodical and calm demonstration is really helpful. Oddly, I find this pose easier in my pre-breakfast practice than in my weekly evening class. The hardest part for me is not to lose concentration- or rather not to see my thought get diverted to other things than the execution of the pose- as, when that happens, I inevitably lose my balance! Many thanks once again for sharing this instruction!

Most challenging of the "Foundations" so far! My foot only reaches about knee height, can't get to thigh and I'm wobbling quite a bit...be interesting to see my progress on this one. :) Thanks for these foundation videos, great for us who've never done ANY yoga before. Love seeing your dogs while you teach!

Hi! I am focusing on the foundations in yoga while I am pregnant. I have been practicing since 2012 and am a mid-level to advanced yogi. I didn't know how much I would appreciate getting back to the basics in yoga due to the Baby. This easy practice was what I needed today.

I have been told my other instructors how I've gotten better with my balance as well as with the ball and step. In the process of it all. I've noticed how. I'm doing tree pose more and more without any issues. When I poured me a big cup of water I had the cup in great freezer door filling up my cup and was able to slide my foot in and up to my inner thigh without any issues. I noticed the same thing tonight when talking to my tonight my arm lying on her bed and was able to do the same j had done it not thinking about it I won't do it with my shoes on but it's just usually when Im not wearing any or if I'm wearing flip-flops I'll take my foot our and will do it not even thinking about it This pose is helping make such a difference in my balance and posture and. Much easier it's become. Thank you so much for introducing this I love you for it and greatly appreciate you continuing to make such a difference in our every day life through your practices You help teach us so much and I greatly appreciate that. Thank you so much

Day 59 of the current run - Tree Pose is one of my favorites, but man balance is not coming to me this morning.

Day 119 (part 1) of the current run. I’m finally getting better at balancing on my left leg. Still not as good as my right, but we’re making progress.

Day 189 (part 3) of the current run. Didn't have any trouble at all balancing on my left leg, even getting my right leg fully up to the thigh without effort. Not sure if it's progress or me paying more attention to the tilt of my pelvis, which I totally did.

Day 299 (part 1) of the current run. Haven’t had any issue getting up to the high tree pose, so I started practicing it with eyes closed. I held balance for about three quarters of a second. So yeah, there’s some growth to be done there.

Happy Restorative Sunday, I looove the tree pose and thankful to God that I am able to enjoy this pose. I particularly like to lift my arms high and spread them like branches, a total stretch. Jai Namaste 🙏🏽

I did yoga for connection today and the breathing was perfect for me. Halfway through my dog started poke me with her huge plastc collar (she had big surgery two days ago) , I took her our, walked her aroung the house, she did nothing, we got back, the she kidnapped my head inside her collar and started licking my face, I started laughing and that was a treat for the day. Now I need a tiny nap, before going to do little bit of garden work💚🍂leaves from the Fall🌹cutting the roses🌞Namaste

Day 24 part 2 complete. I haven't quite gotten the hip flexibility to get my leg up to where I would like it without holding my foot to be so I decided to just hover my foot next to my standing leg where it wants to be because I am not going to press my foot against my knee where it wants to be. 12/24/2023

I love this posture. I even do this when I'm sleeping but if course I'm laying down. I like all the tips. I really need to practice my balance and I can do this in the kitchen cooking or whenever I stand somewhere. Great tutorial. I am enjoying these foundations videos.

checking in again....I have been able to practice 6 days/week for a little over a month now. I would like to do 7 days/week however I’m a mom of 4, inevitably a kid activity seems to get in the way at least one day a week 🙄😜😆 Anyway....today I attempted this “tree pose” for the first time! Maybe I should have recorded myself and shared to give everyone a good LOL....I KNOW I looked absolutely ridiculous flailing around trying to stay balanced!! 🤣 Not to worry, though, as I have learned by doing the other videos....each day I “build” (one of Adrienne’s fav terms😉) and each pose feels more confident. I WILL master you, Tree Pose!! As always, thank you, YWA, for making these videos available! 😘 P.S. I have also been doing the first “fat burning” sequence daily for probably 2 weeks now...maybe I should share an update comment on that video.

Another great tutorial. I was born with dropfoot in my right foot. Additionally, I have developed a bunion on the same foot. Together these make balancing on that foot almost impossible. Thank you for acknowledging the need for some of us to use a wall.

Definitely have lost my flexibility and noticed I am open in the hips more then the other side and can lift the leg and open higher. Took the left side as is and where I am at the moment. Thanks Adriene for the tip. I am someone that always places my feet in the knee area when doing tree pose.

I am very new to yoga and have loved all of your videos that I have watched! I was just wondering if it was normal for the grounded foot to shake when you first start to do this pose? Like I feel like I am just not very stable yet and very shakey.
