The MDs are telling me my only hope is a cochlear implant--a device that doesn't restore natural hearing rather let's you hear electronic sounds that your brain ultimately translates into speech. But I'm embarking on a 6-month journey to heal my own hearing. Please send healing energy to my inner ears, yogis!

As a teacher, I made a promise to myself to practice better self-care. I have done one of your 10 minute stretching videos every morning since this school year began in September. I am eternally grateful to your videos/method. I have noticed such a big shift, not only physically but also mentally. Your daily affirmations are a wonderful addition to the daily yoga practice. Well done, and I agree! On round 14 ☺️ can't believe I'm still getting up 430a to do before work - have only missed a handful of days since I started and that's usually after working a 24hr+

@@samblake87 - that's great to hear! This really started me off as well. I still do this on workdays as up so early and can only manage ~10mins, then do 15-60mins on days not working ☺️ getting in the habit is the only way to keep it going, for me anyway!

After practicing yoga with you 4-5 times a week, my massage therapist said she didn't know what I was doing but I don't have any of my usual hot spots. She told me to keep it up! I'm new to yoga and I've been following along daily! Does anyone have suggestions to keep your hands from sliding, especially in downward dog? It's more distracting than it is an problem. Thanks :)

Open your fingers really Wide, so you can see the mat between each. It will assure you put your weight equally in all the hand's surface and increase how adherent are your hands. Both of this things will keep you from Sliding. :)))

You can also get a mat with better grip if you can especially if you sweat easily. Keep the base of the thumb and all the knuckles of the fingers in contact with the mat. Keep your shoulders away from the ears. The inside of the elbows 'eyes' facing each other while you roll the shoulders outward in downward dog. Look at your knees in downward dog and pull in your belly button 'engaging the core'.

I have the same problem! My feet keep sliding too I think that might be because my yoga mat is really worn so it doesn't give much of a grip anymore

I use a small hand towel for extra grip, when hot and sweaty. But over time your strength will improve.

This is my second time going through the morning series :) So nice to start the morning with some calm and movement! I used to be stuck on this cycle where I would try to get back into working out by doing HIIT for a week then burning out and doing nothing for months. But it’s so easy to be consistent with this gentle practice, and I’m surprised at just how much 10 minutes in the morning really does for my body! I played in a hockey tournament for the first time in a year and didn’t pull anything and nothing even felt tight - and pulling a muscle when i return to hockey is so expected and routine for me I was shocked. Being more active encourages being more active, but even if all I do is the 10 minute practice I still feel infinitely better than the months where I used to have no movement.
