As a tip, try to always clean the roots and remove all the soil leftovers before propagating them in water. They turn the water dark and can lead to rot like you had. Really great video ♥ I love how you take the time to post updates in the same video so we can see the process. Thank you

Very awesome to be able to see the plants growth updates all in the same video. You don't see many that do that, so it's nice ! Beautiful plants ! I could never afford this plant, but recently found someone offering a cutting that had a total of 5 nodes and 5 leaves that had decent variegated but nothing crazy, which i prefer right now since i know how it goes with the amount of white and the more white ya have, the more light it needs to grow, so i feel i finally lucked out and jumped on the offer ! I chopped away and now I'm hoping for some root growth in water and some in moss ! It's only been a few days but my fingers are crossed ! This video is keeping me optimistic so thank you again !! 😊

Biggest thing with water propping is flushing your water every 3-5 days I personally find for better chance to avoid root rot as well and a bit of peroxide
@plantwithroos5 ай бұрын
I've found that that is not at necessary - mainly because I'm not organised enough for that but also you would remove the rooting hormone that the cutting creates. So that would set it back and have to start over? Just my thoughts and experience, if you have the structure to refresh water and it works for you then great - it does look a lot nicer 🤭❤️

How often do you change the water? Thank you for a great vid!
@plantwithroos Жыл бұрын
i don't change it at all, just fill it up when needed. I learned that the plant makes rooting hormone in the water in order to successfully grow roots, so the bigger the amount of water the harder the plant has to work, and if you refresh it has to start over. Not sure if that's true or how it works exactly, but i use the smallest amount possible of water and don't change it. Hope that helps!
