Dr. Phil

4 жыл бұрын

Evan says that the first eight years of his life were difficult. He claims he was abused and asked to do things children shouldn’t be a part of. When he was 8, he was adopted by Tim and Tina. He admits that he has stolen from them, as well as stolen a car and been arrested, and partially blames his early childhood for his behavior. He also claims that his family “continuously” makes him out to be the “bad guy.”
TELL DR. PHIL YOUR STORY: Is Dr. Phil your only hope?
In the video above, Dr. Phil reviews some of Evan’s behavior issues - and offers him advice for getting his life back on track.
“You have to decide what you deserve,” Dr. Phil tells Evan. “You’re either going to wind up a convicted felon, and you’re going to spend years in jail. Or, you’re going to pull your act together, and you’re going to say, ‘I deserve better than I’m giving myself here.’”

This kid has spent YEARS being hated and told on a daily basis that he’s evil, unlovable, unforgivable. He’s traumatized and the blame is squarely on his “parents”. I pray he rises above the cycle of hate and abandonment his life has consisted of. This mother is disgusting.

Although I agree with what you’re saying, what he did as a child to his poor, little, innocent baby brother when he himself was a child, was absolutely dreadful & could’ve resulted in his death or brain damage. Unfortunately, I’d probably be expressing the same negative words & feelings about him as his mother, if he were my adopted child.

MrMrsMsMiss Cloud He probably was mimicking what he had seen and experienced. If you are hit everyday and see bigger kids hitting others every day and no adult is stopping it you have NO CLUE that this is not how a typical family acts. My adopted child had never been outside. What happened in the one room she was kept in was all she knew. I can tell you hunger happened, having her mouth taped shut happened, sitting in filth happened. Lord knows what else. She had no clue those behaviors were not “normal”.

@@mrmrsmsmisscloud7512 It’s understandable to be upset, but he was 10 years old. Even if a parent doesn’t like or resents their child, they should NEVER show even a hint of it. And, unless the kid kills their other kid or something, to hold that grudge more than a few months is extremely abnormal and, frankly, borderline abusive.

He has nothing to offer now but if he works hard, he will have alot to offer when he's in his 30's. It saddens me that his parents can't forgive him after 8 yrs. He knows it too. No wonder he acts out. To them, nothing he does is good enough. I think that he's capable of doing great things during his lifetime. He needs to get away from that mother though. She has no faith in him and he knows it. My son Evan joined the USAF at 18 and its made a tremendous impact on him, plus, in 3yrs, he's already got his bachelor's degree & working on his graduate. He's also gotten to live in Anchorage & Brussels, Belgium. This Evan should consider the same path. It's a great opportunity.

You can tell he takes what his parents have said about him to heart when he lists more negatives about himself than positives. The impulse control is a direct comment his mom called him. He uses the dating sites to feel a void he feels. He’s searching for constant love and emotional support. He didn’t get it from his parents so now he looks elsewhere. Poor guy.

It took him so long to find 2 good things about himself when he already had a long list figured out about what's bad about him I'm surprised they didnt touch on that, his parents have held one impulse mistake when he was a kid over his head his entire life his parents even hate him at times for it and it's disgusting I hope he finds a healthy support system, he also says that he looks for relationships when he is down or in a bad place maybe he is actually looking for a support system via a relationship with someone which is somthing he might lack at the time

I can literally feel his pain. It's written all over his face. I hope one day soon he understands that it's not about him. It's never been about him. His sociopathic mother is the one who needs help. God, I want to give that woman a piece of my mind!

Damn, I swear that kid absolutely deserves to hear what Dr Phil said because there was change in his eyes suddenly like a dark fog has been lifted, suddenly it’s like he’s human back to earth & his feet touched the ground. This will be his ultimate purpose trigger moment. I LOVED what Dr. Phil delivered. He has said and done a lot truthful, those who needs to hear it thang and this is why he’s the best. Let that (what he said) be YOUR message too 💎💎💎💓🦋🌟👑❤️♥️💕💖✨

This is basically my husbands story. He is adopted and did something to his siblings. My husband grew up but had to do it on his own. He never got support from his parents. His family still thinks of him as the kid they knew growing up. There is hope for this kid for sure. He will live a happy life. ❤️

that’s because society has taught men that they need to be strong, emotionless, and to be the support system of the family. ive seen multiple men call other men pussy’s or bitches for showing feelings and trying to seek help, telling them to suck it up and “be a man.”

Of course he feels like he has poor judgement and impulse problems because he told this nonstop ! He's looking for love, and he steals and lies for attention reguardless if it bad attention I am sure he only get attention when he is being bad or doing bad things. I think he saw how his mother loved his brothers differently then him so he acted out it made him resent that child.
