Project 24 is our membership program that teaches you how to work toward replacing your current income with income from KZbin channels and websites in 24 months.
Project 24 is a product of Income School LLC. Results mentioned are not typical. The trademark “Project 24” refers to the goal of some people to create a successful business in 24 months, but is not a promise or guarantee of that success. Many online businesses fail because, like any business, it requires hard work, skill, and dedication. Before making business decisions, consult financial and legal professionals licensed in your jurisdiction.

If you use the same angle shot for every video, take time to color correct the video to how you like and then make a preset. If you have specific movements you like, make a preset. If you use the same microphone for every video, make a “dynamics” preset for that audio so you can drag it to the whole audio. To add about sound effects or really anything that collects on your computer that you use for every project, make. folders. Organizing your workflow makes it 150% easier if you can make it routine when making content. Also, learn shortcuts. Imagine it as learning to play the piano. It’s almost the same concept.

Edit in passes. Cut all your A-roll. Then go back and put in your B-roll and cut aways. That way you get the boring part done first and then you get to do the creative part at the end.

I don't have time to edit all at once, so going in passes like this is essential for me. I "rough cut" the footage to get rid of excess; figure out what transitions and effects I need; add music and b roll; then do a final pass for polish.

My favourite editing trick is to use background music the dictate the timing and cuts and vibe. I've been doing lots of Instagram stuff recently and in the same way that a movie might use the perfect music (at the right volume) to evoke a mood, I cut and clip the footage to match the beat in the music so you hear it, see it and feel it all at once. I can tell when it's working right because retention and reach go far beyond my follower/subscriber counts

I try to use this technique, but it's definitely not a quick one for me lol. But it is satisfying when you get a beat just right. 😁

I love editing, and all the data tracking stuff. I've backed up on my content over the past month because I've been doing social media stuff for a business run by my husband's family and it's been so much fun and so exciting cutting together videos and reels and posts where I have endless amounts of footage to work with. Getting new stuff out every day It's been great practice for my stuff too I now have 4 different editing tools lol

My most common trick is that I do as you have ready tenplates for logos and endscreen 😀 But my best advice is to test yourself with the editing software you intend to use, play with it because the more you use it, the more training you get . It took me 100 videos for sure before I knew where I had all the functions and I still make mistakes And don't fret that you have to switch to different programs if you feel you have a program that you know you handle well. Take care

I would love to see a step-by-step guide to what effects to layer in as you learn. Which things are easiest/ drive the most retention. I just started using the AI in DaVinci and the fast cuts has freed me up to learn how to do the next thing.

For some reason, I can't seem to get J cuts to work right. Every time I try, they're jarring. It's easy when you're switching from one person to another or a completely different shot to another, but if not much is changing in the shot, I just can't seem to make it look natural.
@TECHNOFREAK126

How I imagine jcuts is, if you’ve ever listened to rap music, you have 4/4 measures. Sometimes the artist will begin slightly before the count of 1. It would be on the “and of 4”. duh duh duh DUH. It also helps if you break up your lines when you record. You say a sentence and pause, so it gives room to lead into the jcut.

Something I've had trouble understanding - Can LUTS be a substitute for color grading? I need a hack, because I suck at it.

Yes, although it depends on what you're trying to do. I'd suggest getting some free luts to see if you can accomplish what you want.

If you take time to color grade your video, you can preset it and put it on the whole video every time you edit. Generally you can reuse it for all shots unless it’s for stylistic films or changed in environment or if you made changes within the camera.

The amount of free sound effects offered on youtube that you can rip and use without fear of copyright is absurd. There's no reason any newbies *needs* to DYI that stuff. Just learn better search practices and get cozy with the youtube video ripper websites. I hate recording voiceovers and b-roll and in general just hate recording. I love scripting and love editing, though, so making myself do the talking (it's so repetitive to do multiple takes and I get bored, not a stage fright issue) means I get to have fun editing, so I suck it up and do it.

seeing how unsuccessful this channel became after their face (and main reason for people to come back) left is an unspoken but very important learning
@heymrcody
@heymrcody 3 ай бұрын
what makes them unsuccessful? did they layoff a bunch of people? did they stop selling courses? did their subscribers go down? As far as I know none of that happened. If you think views= success then you obviously haven't been paying attention
@ditisjerome
@ditisjerome 3 ай бұрын
@@heymrcody i mean unsuccessful as in they have almost no core audience coming back to the videos after 8 months and i assume they have to make at least a bit of viewership to be able to run this channel. i dont mean that in a disrespectful way, im just suprised how much the audience is glued to nate as a person. the videos are still in a very good quality, but i also prefer the way nate delivers it.

Just because hardcore Nate followers left does not make this channel unsuccessful. It simply means its appealing to a different, non Nate audience, and of course it will take time for the drop off to be filled and surpassed. I don't exactly see Nate's channel taking off either, its called growing pains for both channels, other wise known as life happens. Personally, I like the new vibe.

What happened to CM was very unfair, from the algorithm point of view. Because Nate left (and he was the face of CM) You now had a lot of people subscribed to a channel they didn't know existed without Nate. Channel Makers begins posting, people may or may not get notified, or see it in their feed. They don't see Nate, so the video is more like a random video in the feed, instead of a subscribed video. So what? People don't click. We're talking about 90% drop in numbers. Because of this, KZbin assumes it's less good, and stops recommending the video to as many people as it did. You don't click on a subscribers video 3-4x in a row, suddenly KZbin stops recommending the channel anymore. What is left is known as "stale subscribers" and this is why big old channels that crash are almost worthless. See Eli the computer guy. He has over a million subs and struggles to get 2-3k views. Will Channel Makers pick up over time, as new audience members gradually roll around and subscribe and watch in their own right? I guess so, but it's a big uphill battle to get there. It might have been worthwhile to setup a new channel, to avoid the stale subscriber issue, although there seems to be tons of "become a successful KZbinr" type channels out there. I think if the bloke presenting CM gets a little less jittery with his hands and arms, people will feel more relaxed and gradually warm to them also. I've watched a few videos, and I think the content and so forth is generally good, and there's almost none of this annoying "I've got this great answer to the question you came here for, but first let me push this unrelated product for about five minutes, while pretending it's everything you ever wanted, and we'll get to the question in just a minute, but first let me show you something else...."

Also let me add...it takes time for us to get to know the new guys! Give them a break! They are working very hard to help folks and I get what you are saying. The views might be down on some videos but they will get their own audience. I love it before and I still Do. Give them some time ❤
