It seems like most information around burnout points out work related stress etc. as the cause of burnout. I would also like to add different kind of situations outside work, such as prolonged problems with family, small children etc. which can in some cases be too much for an individual to handle especially if there is lack of support from other family members and friends. Or that both worklife and personal life are contributing to burnout, not just work.

Yes - this needs to be acknowledged more! I think dealing with broken govt services the UK gave me burnout.

I spent the last 5 years of my teaching career suffering with burnout but didn’t realise it - it pushed me to quit teaching and pursue a different career with better work life balance but at the time I felt like a failure for giving up teaching - I know now that isn’t the case and it wasn’t my fault! 😊

What job did you end up finding with better work life balance?
@nicolacsukas51273 ай бұрын
@@hi29189 it was a job in HR/payroll which meant my day finished at 5 and I couldn’t take work home with me unlike teaching 😃

Thank you for this. I've spent a long time thinking I might be dealing with anxiety or depression but in fact it looks much more like burnout. Magnesium does help a bit.

I'm going through burnout right now. I'm a perfectionist and it's likely 150% contributed it. I'm either in a state of pushing so hard but then I get these times of paralysis where I can do nothing. I spent all Friday evening doing an adult colouring book watching The Vampire Diaries on Netflix because it was all I was able to do but that was after 5 12hr+ days in my corporate job where I feel like I'm never doing enough. So thank you for this video! ❤

I'm sorry to hear that 😔 after 5 x 12h shifts I think most people would find it hard to do anything!! You deserve rest. Have you seen my self care video? If not, I'd highly recommend giving it a watch!
