I practice Tantra... the intention of Tantra is to be kind to your partner daily, do acts of kindness to your partner daily, and do what makes your partner happy, joyful, blissful daily.... focus, enhance & compliment the best of him or her daily. Super easy. I do this for people I love in general. My brother did an act of kindness for me yesterday.... he paid an extra $10 to the Hulu channel.... so, I can see Fargo without commercials. What a loving act of kindness! I was so so touched and felt much love from him. It is the little things.

Thank you for not condemning gifts as a love language . I was the same lil girl. However that has changed now due to the fact most men feel they are being used for only material gain. But I evolved now I watch their manners and energy more now 🌹

I love Gary Chapman’s books. I know there may not be any scientific evidence that they work, but taking your partner’s needs and feelings into consideration is a good thing for a healthy relationship. Dr. Willard Harley says that married couples should spend a minimum of 15 hours per week together, just the two of them. He talks about this concept in his books.

(7:13) If her love language is gifts, you could expect to be regularly receiving gifts from her, too. If it's mostly one way, then it's either not her love language (and is simple gold digging) or it is her love language and she is telling you she doesn't love you. EDIT: He does mention her giving him gifts (7:50)

I have never known anything at all about how any of my male friends behave in their relationships with respect to someone telling them something or asking them something. Do you really know your male friends behave that way or is that just speculation based on what everyone "knows"? For me, I have usually be the one trying to get some point across and not being heard so I'm not sure how you can make these generalized statements about men and women.

What woman has ten friends lol? It’s strange how much I hear about men not having anyone to talk to when a lot of us don’t have this supposed community of confidants.

I’m an 80s baby so maybe I’m a lot older than you? But I was literally sitting at a table with 12 women my sister, our cousins and friends all talking about our relationships. We were giving each other feedback and even two of them are in a lesbian relationship and they were asking us our opinion. We were laughing and having a great time but we gave each other feedback. I have three close friends that I tell all the details to but it can easily be that many folks I run my issues by. I wonder what is going on in your life where it’s difficult for you to connect to others and have a tribe? I’m sure you are cool and awesome to be around. 80s and 70s babies and earlier got cliques.

@@hoodhippychick well I have lived in 4 time zones in 4 years but now that I am settled in one city hopefully I’ll be able to find friends but even still 10 seems more than necessary for my introverted self lol. And that’s great for you but based on every other 40 year old I know, most don’t have 10 friends except for the ppl I know who still live in our hometown and hangout with the same crew since high school. And by friends I mean people to really confide in, it’s easy to meet acquaintances to get brunch with occasionally.
