Hey I absolutely love your videos and they are helping me with traing my dog who was a recent stray for months, possibly years. It has proven difficult since he seems not to have any want for a reward, treats, pets, or toys. But getting him interacting with other dogs and letting him see how other do their thing is helping, he's started to play and even take freeze dried liver treats, tho not many. He's a perfect handful and I cant wait to see how he will be in the upcoming years.

I’ve been teaching my dogs all these tricks you have taught her! And I’ve especially used the video that makes your dog stop pulling on the leash and to stop barking when something comes my your house, and my dog has gotten sooo good at that, he used to pull on the leash soo hard that I literally fall, and now after seeing that video, he hasn’t been pulling on the leash one bit! And he hasnt even barked at things that pass our house! Your advice and training is soooo helpful! I bought the dog training revolution book and I’m reading it everyday to get information on training dogs! And I just bought the food that you showed in the beginning of the video, and I hope that my dogs will like it!! I just wanted to say thank you!!!

I adopted my herding breed mutt almost 3 months ago and it's crazy how much she has in common with Inertia. They have many of the same amazing qualities but also many of the same struggles. I started watching this series months before getting her and now I'm finding myself going back and watching old videos where Inertia is the same age as my pup. It's been really helpful to see a similar dog with a similar journey but months in the future. I think the transparency around what's been hard or isn't working yet has been great for helping me set my expectations, so thank you.

I was wondering if you’d ever do a video on teaching a dog to herd. Glad you’ve decided to wait until growth plates are closed to then spay! Spaying/neutering is definitely not something anyone HAS to do, but if desired, should not be done too young (ESPECIALLY pediatric spays/neuters). I have a smaller breed (Mini American Shepherd male on the smaller side) and waited until he was 12 months old based on working with his rehab vet, but that was for HIM, and not all dogs. It’s great to talk to an experienced rehab vet to talk about what’s best for YOUR dog. In the future, I do think I’ll opt for a vasectomy vs neutering, but am glad I at least waited and his breeder was fully on board with it.

My older dog is an angel unless it comes to counter snatching. Just the other night we went outside to get my siblings to come inside for diner. We came in and 6 sliders and 6 hotdogs were gone. We put her outside and showed her where HER food is. It works temporarily but the habit keeps up. I’m going to studying your videos on this topic so she will hopefully learn counter manners.😃 also y’all have came so far

I love watching your videos and learning to train my dog who’s close in age to mine. I chose washable diapers and I’m so happy I made that choice! A dog going through heat before they are spayed can happen more than once and cloth is so helpful and an easy wash. Lily had no issue with chewing on her diapers and it’s also a good protection if a male dog trys to mate, it’s a little tougher with a cloth diaper on. Heat is such a heavy topic! I made the choice not to spay before or after first heat and let her body grow and it was challenging but I don’t regret it. Some research I’ve done says that not spaying a female dog can make them more susceptible to cancers and other health issues, do you have any insight on this? Thankyou for acknowledging this topic! It is so important and doesn’t make this normal part of life (just like training) seem so taboo. I love my girl!

My dad is getting an aussie pup in the middle of June, but she will be 6 weeks old when he gets her. Of course this is very young, but the vet approved of it, as long as the proper care is given. Since she will be quite young and wouldn’t receive her parvo shots until a week or two later, would it still be alright to potty train her to go outside, or should we wait for her to have shots, while we use puppy pads?

Love watching these videos, but I have a question! So I live in an apartment and I’m about to start working as an RN and want a puppy! I’m not too worried about once my dog is potty trained or when it’s past 4 months old and he/she is fully vaccinated etc. and I can take him/her to a daycare, but I’m moreso worried for the first few 12 hour shifts I’ll be working :( I have roommates who I’ll ask for some help, but I’m not going to ask them to take my dog out every 2 hours, like you’ve mentioned to do in other videos... What do you suggest I do?

Hi Zak! I'm hoping to get some advise on resource guarding, I've watched your videos on the topic and am currently trying them out but my dog is fully grown (7years old) and not a puppy, She never bites/growls/snaps at myself for any of my family members it's only to our 7 month old Bordeaux puppy, It's only when she has her toy and my pup trys to take it from her she quickly turns on her but without toys involved she love's her but I don't want it to be a recurring thing! I would love to know how to help her stop doing this when it comes to a toy, Thank you!
@kyawminlwin52554 жыл бұрын
Hey Zak, can you help me with this? My dogs do certain tricks but only if she sees treats. Can I do sth to change the behavior?
@mikayla123ist4 жыл бұрын
I know I’m not zack but I love his videos and have been trying to take his advice while training my dog. And I must admit that I’ve learned to train myself as well. My dog is my life and I want the best for her. Lily, who is about the same age as inertia and has lots of energy, I’d recommend finding a toy they like, or a new toy and reward them with the toy. It might also be a good way to teach your dog to come, let go, ect with said toy and they can channel energy into that. Eventually you could work up to training your dog to follow a command for your love and affection! Zack says “acknowledging when she’s succeeding is the best thing”. I hope I helped!

Need some advice, I got a 4 month old male puppy. He sometimes out of no where will start to bark and growl at people in the house. He will bark will close to ur face if u r sitting down but hasn't bite anyones face as of now. If I tell him no or stop he gets more angry and seems stubborn. If I try to touch him or get to close when he is acting this way he tries to bite my hands. I dont know if its playing or getting aggressive. How would I be able to start to stop it. Hes pit and rot if that matters.
