The last time I went fishing was with my uncle after my Dad died. I was about 10 years old. Got the news this morning that Uncle Bob passed away from stage 4 lung cancer. He was 86. Watching your family fish together reminded me of my kind uncle. Best wishes from northern Illinois.

Hey there HHF family from Texas;!! Nice catch of fish you have. I enjoy catching them with chicken liver sitting on the bank with a cold glass of tea. My dad dug a pond on our homestead. He made a pulley trot line from one end of the pond to the other and baited it when he wanted fish which seen like every week. Trot line was his way of fishing. I’d rather use a rod and reel and enjoy the fight with the fish. More relaxing that way to me. To each his own way of fishing It was fun to watch all of you having a nice family outing. God I wish I were in that boat. One of the things getting older and surviving Covid Pneumonia has stolen from me is my activities and freedom to just get out into nature. When I was Kaia’s age and younger I was my dad’s fishing partner…..gosh we had so much fun😊

Kia, one Sunday afternoon fishing with my Dad I caught a 10 lb channel cat. Wouldn't let Dad help, boat to tipsy! Mom took a pic at home. Boy did I get razed by the boys , when she put it in the newspaper! Senior year I had to teach a lot of those boys how to bait a hook, take fish off & clean fish, in a gym class! I see that scenario in your future!! A combo girly girl & Tomboy ROCK! 💝

That is a cute way to fish. Husband & I went to Delaware couple years ago met my brother and his 2 son in laws and went shark fishing. Catch & release. Camped on the beach, bond fire. Sharks were huge. Some guy put his hands in the mouth to get hook out. That was a blast. Love to do it again.
