I followed the recipe to with one exception. Unfortunately, I did not have brown sugar, so I substituted brown sugar for palm sugar and the dish still turned out good. I can not cook to save my life. On this situation, I just relaxed, followed instructions with my iPad, playing this video while working in the kitchen. When I served, everybody was surprised because they are usually scared of my cooking :)

@@acolytetojippity The alcohol itself is actually quite volatile and will evaporate from the food within minutes. If you smell the cooking food just after adding something alcoholic you can get strong whiff that fades it leaves your food. What's left behind are the flavor of the drink minus any alcohol. The browning is from a company in Jamaica name grace Kennedy company. We use it here to give a dark rich color in our stew chicken pork and beef. But it's a bit better so don't use too much.

Yeah, I think so...I'd use chicken wingettes; clean/dry them well. Season them, coat them lightly w/ cornstarch, and bake until tender. Then create the sauce and pan "fry" the wings in the sauce; just as the recipe called for. Maybe an extra step w/ the oven, but no cooking oil required. You can serve with rice, or make them as an appetizer. I think served with some dumplings, veggie spring rolls, even an Asian coleslaw salad would be great alongside. Try it...good luck! 👱👌

I'm from buffalo and I say it would work.. Get a good grade of wings/drummettes and make sure the sauce is nice and thick like a bbq sauce consistency.. Best if you fry the wings.. I would bake only if you HAVE too.. Its a texture thing and I cant stand mushy wings.. Add the sauce to a good size container with a lid and add your cooked chicken and just shake them up to coat them wih the sauce...
