For those wondering, pouring carbonated drinks, specifically coke, takes a while for the fizz to calm down, which takes longer to pour. And for the coffee and tea, the dispenser which it is come from, doesn’t get cleaned often (gets cleaned every 6 months I believe).

I’m a FA. I drink Diet Coke all the time. I’m bad with drinking water. Drink whatever you want because it’s what you like. But just know that DC will actually dehydrate you more on the plane. Best thing to drink for dehydration is water. Best thing to drink for you is whatever you like

Didn’t know I was being judged by the drinks that they are giving complimentary , but ok. So basically, when the flight attendants pour the normal coke, it tends to pour over the cups, causing a mess. (I am not a flight attendant, by the way.) Also, to save you time with scrolling through her page, you shouldn't order water from airplanes (unless it's bottled) because the tanks usually never get cleaned. Even if the water is boiled, it is still not clean. Hope I answered your question(s)! 😁

from what i’ve seen, the carbonation in sodas are harder to deal with due to the altitude, so you’ll normally get soda inthe can to deal with urself and they don’t wash the coffee pot

That's actually extremely normal in service jobs, especially restaurants. If you wrote everything all the way out as it was spelled it would take way too long to both write and then read, so you give everything an abbreviation that you all know. DC seems simple to me

@@jessalove3344 look inside a coffee dispenser that doesn’t get cleaned regularly… residue builds up and when the coffee is low, bacteria starts to form in the dry hot humid environment and that residue is yummy food for them. Then, it’s refilled, over the bacteria, and as it’s emptying, those bacteria just multiplied by a million or so..and the cycle continues. Yum 🦠

At high altitude the foam takes longer to go down, so has a tendency to want to fizz over and takes a long time to pour. You have to stop several times and let it go down to pour more. I can imagine it gets really annoying after a while

I like coke, if your job is to serve me on a flight that cost me over 300$ I think I have a right to be as comfortable as possible and enjoy my in-flight beverage. For ppl saying, ginger ale facts! I can’t drink ginger ale regularly bc it reminds me of being sick. Only time I will drink it, on the ground. However ginger ale in the air hits different. Nothing to do w/being sick,or an upset stomach. I just love the way it taste in the air! Flying actually is very calming to me. The only time I got sick was after eating eggs w/about way too much salt. I was trying to copy my dad, he did s&p. I love pepper but I accidentally dumped way too much salt(I was like 6) he didn’t notice and I wanted to be “grown” eating my eggs on the plain. Yeah NEVER AGAIN!! I still don’t add extra salt to my food only pepper. 1 and only time I ever got sick. Do not recommend 😩
