Thank you for this! I've lived through the death causing experience of a failing liver. If you end up in the hospital for it your chance of dying is nearly assured. Keto isn't allowed. For breakfast, a diabetic will be given a waffle with 63g of carbohydrate, with syrup, milk and juice. Lunch will be equally cheap for the hospital, and dinner will be at least a tasteless roll, a slop of instant potatoes, and a chunk of pre-made pie. They just give you more insulin more frequently to handle the toxic overload. And they sure don't have anything without corn or milk, and it's too much work for them to let you care for yourself, let alone take a walk, so you'll be given plenty of medicine to manage the pain and stiffness, another toxin for your damaged liver. So, we need to know we have to take care of ourselves, thank you for telling us how!

Say that about the VA and the doctors will "fear for their safety" and they'll twist your words to the police. Either give in and quit advocating for your health or there is a pill and a shot that'll shut you up and make you so confused you won't be able to tell what is happening. And that gives us(the doctors) the "right" to drug you even more, which also gives the "right" to drug you even more. Rinse, repeat until the patient is dead. Then blame the "stupid" patient for your actions.

For me, my goal was relief of back and knee pain and improve functioning, and the method was good for that. However, at some point, a consult with someone who can diagnose you better that you can do yourself is best but there is a cost for that and you have to find a practitioner in your area.

Hmm... Statins affect the liver and when I was on them I had a lot of joint pain and stiffness (Among other problems, but that's another story.) A connection there?
@lynnv85013 жыл бұрын
Statins are not that good for health. I did research at one time but don't remember why. Better to deal with high cholesterol through diet and supplements.
@justrusty3 жыл бұрын
@@lynnv8501 Actually, I have found that cholesterol level is dictated by what your body needs. If it is "high" then one needs to figure out why and deal with that, which I believe you are correct in that lifestyle (diet, etc.) is the way to go. Also "high cholesterol" seems to be an invented disease. Mine is considered "high" by doctors, but actually, cholesterol levels in the population are normally distributed (bell curve) and mine is within 1 std. dev. of the mean, so I refuse statins, and my wife who has my Health Care Proxy is instructed to forbid their use on me should it come to that.

@@justrusty yes, I believe you to be correct. I have high cholesterol, but HDL is also high, and the other markers are in range, like triglyceride. From what I understand, if all the other markers are ok, but only combined cholesterol is high, then really there's little risk. Besides, my cholesterol was hardly high. I told my doctor there is no way I'm taking statin.
@justrusty3 жыл бұрын
@@lynnv8501 Good move. Yes, the most important markers (in my mind) are Trigs/HDL ratio and remnant cholesterol. Mine are good and greatly improved since I changed lifestyle. My ratio went from 7.45 down to 2.1 at the last measure and that was almost a year ago; I suspect it is even lower now; the next test will tell.

I think statins can worsen it!
@jd4evr20013 жыл бұрын
@@nancy9478 so true. I meant to word it more like this: liver makes cholesterol; but statins block it from reaching the bloodstream. Ergo statins contribute to fatty liver syndrom. My doc raised me from 10mg to 40mg in statin pill & I became so stiff in muscle aches that I stopped statin cold and am taking bile salts to help poor digestion. I feel better already. My doc also fluffed off his diagnosis that I "just" had fatty liver, non alcoholic style as 'not to worry'. This is why I want to know if statins cause the problem in the first place.

I bought Pete Egoscue’s book ‘Pain Free’ about ten years ago because I was having bad carpal tunnel pain… I did the stretching he recommends for wrists.. the pain went away. Meanwhile, people around me were actually having SURGERY to stop carpal tunnel pain! I think I need to crack open that book again because now I’m having some back pain.. probably will require daily Egoscue method, but if it works as well as it did for my nagging wrist pain, I’ll do it.. it’s a little time consuming because you have to stay in position for awhile, but it’s a good time to meditate 😊

I've noticed I become less stiff when I drink water.
@f.m.m67063 жыл бұрын
What do you think the explanation behind that is? Is the drink 1-2L of water a day a myth??
@zoebaggins903 жыл бұрын
@@f.m.m6706 I think 8 glasses of water is too much and nobody drinks that much. I think we should listen to our bodies and drink as much as we need.

Thank you so much Dr.Berg. God bless you, you have inmensely helped my family and I. I have a question: my mother's gall bladder was removed, she takes Ursacol which is a replacement for bile, from my understanding, do you think she would benefit from taking the purified bile salts, or if they would be better than Ursacol, she has many digestive issues.

My bloods showing still issues but even with keto they are improved as I was on verge of emergency surgery. But I def feel a long fast drinking only specific 'teas' (no milk) is for me.

Dr Berg always makes a lot of sense. I love his holistic view of the body and health. My questions today: 1) What if you cannot swallow capsules? 2) Your gallbladder formula contains betaine hydrochloride - this might cause stomach irritation if taken away from food? Wondering if it could be taken with food after all... 3) Not absorbing vitamin D: meaning your serum vitamin D levels will be low or high (with low uptake by body tissues)?

You can open capsules and dissolve in water or add to food.

Blaming a persons bile ducts for stiffness around the body is an interesting concept. Keto makes your system highly acidic, which is what leads to joint stiffness because pathogens thrive in an acidic environment ie in the fluid in your joints. Reduce your protein/fat intake for a week or two, up Yr fruit & vegetables & do daily movement activities. Benchmark your stiff joints when u start, then re-assess after 2 weeks. 🙏

Hi Dr. Berg, I always watch your videos and I respect all your advices, I am 75 with no medication at all and I dont remember when was my last visit to doctor. I eat healthy as much as possible, I believe and practice fasting mostly I use the 15 - 18 hours daily and I also do 5 days water fasting few times a year. My problem is Dupuytren, it had god very bad in my right hand and by self messaging with coconut oil with Frankincense essential oil it got better but not complete and I also have mild condition in my left. I was wondering if you have better suggestion because I have no plans to get operation. I will appreciate your opinion and suggestion
