Words cannot describe the massive amounts of some people's generosity. I mean, the duplicate WWII Purple Heart, the NASA stuff, just super generous.

I know amazing and it’s beautiful. Watching peoples generosity shows me anyways that humanity is still in a good place still. Plus they actually interact with us and even open up and invite us into there personal life. I don’t know any other KZbinr doing that for there fans. Plus it’s amazing how patriotic they are for the USA and I would say even more patriotic then our own citizens unfortunately. I love this family and always look forward to there videos.

Florida Man here, Jerry did us proud didn't he 👍👍. The Shuttles were crazy, as a kid I mostly remember the sonic boom when it returned. That junk sounded like a bomb and would shake the windows. Where I live now is well over 50 miles away but the launches are still clearly visible from my front yard.

Yeah, it’s like two drunk guys talking Bill: “When I was a kid, I made wings and jumped off the roof of my house”. Bob: “Did you fly?” Bill: “Nope, fell and broke my leg and was in the hospital for 3 days. Bet you can’t jump and actually fly” Bob: “Ummmm, yeah well……here, hold my beer”. Goes to roof and jumps, off……Bill: “Yup…..didn’t think so”.

Fun fact, my son is a mechanical engineer at NASA. He worked for a company that worked on the Super Tiger Balloon project. He got to go to Antarctica 3 times. After the ballon was launched, they had to retrieve it. Their jump off point before Antarctica is New . Zealand. So he's been in your part of the world. On one of his trips, he found out they actually change the South Pole. There is an actual pole. He got to bring 2 ft piece home and he gave it to his father. So I've touched the south pole, literally! Btw, I'm from Maryland and have just moved to Pennsylvania, temporarily in Gettysburg right next to the Gettysburg Battlefield National Park. I was on vacation in Florida,with my girlfriend at the time , visiting her father in Melbourne Beach. We were driving north up the east coast and off in the distance I noticed a rocket launch! I had to pull over and get out of the car because we couldn’t believe what we were seeing, an actual space shuttle was taking off, we were too far away to hear anything but it was such an incredible sight to see just out of the blue not even expecting it! I have been working on my family tree. I have learned from my mom's side 4 of my fifth great grandfather's fought in the Revolutionary War for the colonies. My mom's side is where most of my DNA comes from and they came from Scotland, Ireland , Wales, England Denmark , Switzerland and 2% from the Baltics. My dad's grandfather brought his wife and 2 of 3 daughters (one died as an infant so is buried in Germany) to America in the early 1880s, so 100 years at least from when my mom side arrived to the colonies. Great Grandpa and Grandma Beuke had 6 more daughters after arriving here and one son, my Grandpa Henry Beuke. So no opportunity to fight in the Revolutionary War but certainly served in WWI and WWII. I myself am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer. A Hospital Corpsman. I served from Oct 19, 1973 to January 31, 1995. So 21 years. Love your videos and your family. It is always such fun watching you discover what America is all about. I wish I could say all is well in our once proud Nation, but we have serious political and social issues that are devastating this country's stability. Pray for us. We need it.

As others mentioned, The Purple Heart is an award given to military members who give their all for their country, whether their nations ideas fit their own, or not, In fact, I got to go to the movie theatre today and saw the film "Devotion" which is about the first Naval African-American fighter pilot who ends up freezing to death just after the initiation of the Battle of Chosin Resevoir, it's based off of real events, and it uses the real life events to explain why the US is so committed to making sure the job gets done safely, not because it's an order, but because it shows that we know what needs to be done, and that we'll see to it that that mission is complete in due time, if that makes sense.

We are considered the Aerospace capital where Northrop Grumman, McDonnell Douglas, SpaceX and other aerospace companies design and develop airplanes and spacecrafts. My Grandfather was a welder on the very first rocket to the moon. He has passed away and sadly the memorable coins made from that rocket ship and given to those who built it but it’s a wonderful memory. We are also a community filled with surf culture as our cities are along the beaches of El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Torrance Beach, Redondo Beach and the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The Purple Heart is the ultimate award for not just bravery but bravery in the heat of a battle where the average person would run and hide but a service member is trained to run and meet his enemy face to face. It is a symbol of not just freedom but extreme courage under live fire and sacrifice of their own life for another. Most people who get the Purple Heart have gotten it after death. Honor it and treasure it as much as you treasure the American Flag.
@gigibythesea1133
@gigibythesea1133 2 жыл бұрын
That's not quite correct. Purple hearts are awarded to those who are injured or killed in the line of duty - around 2 million people have been awarded it since WWII. You may be confusing it with the Medal of Honor, which is the highest award given. While it is indeed an honor recognizing sacrifice, it's not necessarily about bravery above and beyond. My dad has a Purple Heart.

Purple heart is awarded to US service men or women injured in battle. You could get a piece of shrapnel in your butt while running away from a grenade and get a purple heart. The vast vast majority purple hearts are awarded to those who survived. I'm not belittling it, just clarifying.

Stay safe and well my NZ family.

I found out Sam is not a fan of raisins the day after I mailed the box, but I hope he'll try the raisin filled lemon cookies anyway. It was my mom's famous recipe. We only make them at Christmas so they opened it at a perfect time. Enjoy!

If you guys really want to know what a redneck is then you should investigate a video of The Blue Collar Comedy Tour with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry The Cable Guy, Bill Engvall and Ron White. Jeff Foxworthy is famous for his "You might be a redneck" jokes and Bill is known for his "Here's your sign" jokes. You will laugh so hard!

I visit nz in 2002 and I very much enjoyed your country way more than Australia. Your people were so much more welcoming of us. One of the things was nz was so much more similar to USA than Australia. I think why you have such a great response to Americans is you share similar values. Your children are so well behaved and you act like a family that attracts Americans as well. I had a great family visit with a family on a dairy farm near Rotorua. The Maori visit was amazing as well. If I could pick one country on earth to migrate to it’d be nz for so many reasons. I hope when you visit America you get a welcome response. I have been all over America and have so many suggestions especially when it comes to nature. Be sure to buy the national parks pass. Thanks for your content.

I love Café Bustelo. It can be a bit strong. One thing I do when I brew it, is to use one less tablespoon than they call for, but use the amount of water, e.g.: for 6 cups of coffee, use 5 tablespoons of coffee and 6 cups cups of water. It brews a rich, smooth coffee that tastes amazing.

The Federalist Papers are Commentaries regarding the constitution and how each of the Articles were crafted. When arguing a Case in the Supreme Court, Lawyers and Justices often refer to the Federalist’s Papers, including what the Founders meant when they used specific words or phrases. I think it’s important to note that America was colonized by people fleeing religious repression, the English Civil war and political and economic prisoners shipped as indentured servants to the Americas. They saw the worst of Monarchy and Parliamentarians.

Awesome video! I live about 60 miles away from the Space Coast in Orlando and I can see rocket launches from my home. As the rockets ascend, I can see the rocket plume when the weather is clear. The company I work for (Lockheed Martin) made those tiles. They are super light weight like pumice stone and pretty fragile. When shuttles were refurbished after a mission, they ended up replacing damaged tiles, so that's likely where your tile sample came from.

Use the lemon cake mix and the raspberry jam together. Bake cake as directed. Make a vanilla buttercream icing but whip some cream with some powdered sugar (don't make too sweet) and vanilla, fold gently into the buttercream. Cut each 8" cake in half so you have four 8" rounds. Use raspberry jam and buttercream generously on each layer , then frost the outside with the remaining buttercream. Decorate with fresh raspberries.
