Just picked up this game on the switch in the recent sale, delighted I found your channel, still playing campaign mode on the 1st Yugi story haven't even spent any of the coins on booster packs yet as I'm still getting used to the game.

Could someone please tell me if this game or its predecessor "Legacy of the Duelist" has received any card updates in the past besides the big one in March or if this game will get new updates in the future. Because I am currently considering buying the game, but would also like to play with current cards, but I can't find anything on the Internet. Thank you for your help.

Legacy of the Duelist is "finished" and won't receive any more updates. It has nearly all the cards before Master Rule 4 was introduced. Konami hasn't announced any updates for Link Evolution past the March release. USUALLY, what they do, is they wait to see how well the game sells after an update and then announce a new update about a year later as a new patch.

@@SeanVS im still farely new to the game, just got onto GX yday. fav strategy so far thats the most fun is the ritual of the gishki from mako. that and ofc the cheating exodia XD

Why aren't you using Soul Servant, Secrets of Dark Magic and Illusion Magic?

Soul Servant is fantastic. Secrets of Dark Magic is inefficient and an inherent -2. Illusion Magic is awful.

@@SeanVS Secrets of Dark Magic is a fusion card that doubles as a ritual spell. It's also searchable, unlike Timaeus and you can use it to easily summon The Dark Magicians (the fusion monster) and gain some neat draw power. The Dark Magicians can be neatly be combined with Soul Servant to instantly retrieve a trap that Soul Servant puts on top and gain the ability to set it and activate it the same turn. It's particularly good with Eternal Soul and Magician Combination. Illusion Magic is basically a searcher for Dark Magician. Often times you'll open wit Eternal Soul and Magician's Rod so you can search for it to get two Dark Magicians. Sometimes I even used it to retrieve my Dark Magicians from the graveyard, just to place Illusion Magic in the graveyard as fodder for Dark Magic Inheritance.

Dark magic veil is better. It takes 1k life points to special summon a spellcaster from GY or hand instead of half health for magic curtain

Its different. Curtain takes Dark Magician out from the deck. Dark Magic Veil special summons only from graveyard or hand (I agree that its better) just saying it's different

Free update for the Switch version, separate version of the game altogether for consoles and PC.
