BUT more interestingly, there’s a guy in New Zealand whose whole thing on Twitter is tracking the weather in a small area of mid state New York and giving out predictions for likelihood of closings and delays for schools in that area. so my whole school would just listen for what ben noll, in new zealand, would say about our random small town 400 person school.

@烏龜 Both are horrible people. MGK has said some incredibly racist things about black women (with a biracial daughter too smh). He used racial stereotypes about black women for laughs (as a grown man) and then called a black lady a “n-r bitch” for getting offended. He made gross comments about wanting to date an underaged Kardashian/Jenner (I can’t remember her name, but I’m pretty sure she’s a runway model). When someone pointed out that she was underaged, he said the in the celebrity world, age doesn’t matter as well as praising another celebrity for “dating” a minor. As for Megan, she is a bisexual hypocrite. She has made comments about how bi women who have been with men are “dirty.” Like wtf Megan, you’re also bi and have been with men before. *(She also said that she believes everyone is born bi. Which I don’t agree with and is not a solid reason to dislike someone, but I thought I would just point that out for people. Especially because her reasoning was that everyone is born bi, but society changes that. Which is nonsense because there are people who grow up in homophonic environments and still come out as gay.) @nomoretwitterhandles2 жыл бұрын
@@mayafallon301 I don't think that negates my point. Medication CAN help, but it's not the permanent solution. As you said, it helped you get to the point you were able to address the root. Good advice would be "seek out a medical professional to see if these methods are right for you". Not "lol smoke weed 420". There are lots of people who DON'T need to smoke weed (they smoke it recreationally), and it does more harm than good (can mess up sleep, smoke is still smoke, some people can become reliant on it). In addition to that advice, he should've added "and if you are in the position to seek out a therapist or psychiatrist, please do." To the person who lost their uncle, my heart goes out to you, sending love 💖. I went to grief counseling when my grandma died. She had Alzheimer’s but it still really broke me inside. That was 4 years ago. My counselor told me “we often think our grief shrinks over time, but really we just grow around our grief.” And that really helped me process. You know I’ll always miss her. Sometimes I’ll be going about my day, and something reminds me of her and I’ll cry a bit. But then I continue on with my day. At one point it would just leave me to my bed for days. But I grew around my grief. It didn’t shrink. It’s still there. But I’m “bigger” than it now. If that makes any sense. Much love, take care of yourself and allow yourself to feel however you feel- grief is hard.

FOR THE PERSON ASKING ABT COMMITTING EGO DEATH: my first warning is you probably shouldn't do it considering your mental illnesses. as someone who accidentally committed an ego death (also dealt and deals with extreme anxiety), it was terrifying and i will never view reality the same way. i used to be very connected to the world and myself, and it was lovely, but after i went through that ego death i lost myself (my personality, my interests, my mental health progress, etc), i wanted to end my life, i felt paranoid and terrified at every turn, and felt like i shouldn't exist. I'm doing better now, thankfully, but reality will never be the same for me. if you REALLY want to commit an ego death, DONT do it while you're experiencing crippling anxiety and other mental illnesses, OR, if you have a really fantastic support system that can keep you standing afterwards, then it's up to you. the only reason why I'm still alive today is because of my support system after my ego death. it's not fun. in time, it'll lead you to become a better/stronger person, sure, but it's hard and painful and it takes years. it's not an " easy way out", but i wish it was. for me, it only made my struggles worse. i hope you get the chance to read this before deciding, and if you have any other questions about it I'm willing to share :)
@lyrielswaine74662 жыл бұрын
Can you explain a little more about what the process involves, out of curiosity?
@annetteiroanya98832 жыл бұрын
@@lyrielswaine7466 it's a little different for everyone I think. But for me, it was a really positive experience where I felt like a small speck of dust floating around the universe. I hope that makes sense lol. I felt really insignificant, like my life was so small and unimportant compared to the vastness of the universe. But in a good way, like in a "life has no meaning cuz it means whatever we want it to" kind of way. For some people it's in the "life has no meaning and everything is terrifying" kind of way. But yeah it's like feeling really small and like nothing really matters but also feeling this strange connection with nature and your surroundings. It helped me realize that a lot of the things i worry about in life don't truly matter. But again, it can go good or bad for anyone it just depends.

About the snow day question, I was directly in the middle of the transition between having to watch the news to see what school was closed and what we do now. on the Ego Death topic, i have not experimented with psychedelics myself, but it is in my field of study and imo "Ego Death" or dissolution can certainly feel very real and have lasting changes on the way a person thinks. there is a lot of research being done about therapeutic uses for these drugs. HOWEVER i think the concept is a bit idealized and people think that if you just take some mushrooms, that you will come out of the experience a whole new, better person and that everyone who uses psychedelics experiences Ego Death. this is not necessarily the case. depending on your setting and substance of choice, it can add to the anxiety of an already anxious person. this isn't medical advice or anything, but i would hope this viewer (if they choose to use psychedelics) does them in a safe space and with a lot of free time. if you have a trusted sober person that could help you during this time, i would also suggest that.
@richardsonIII2 жыл бұрын
agreed. And if it's specifically to manage anxiety, maybe try microdosing with psilocybin. You can microdose lsd as well I think, but I've not tried it and I'm not sure how available it is in that form in Oregon. I know that in Canada you can basically order it online. It's not regulated, which is good and bad but I've found dosages to be fairly consistent.
@trinnychops2 жыл бұрын
HELLO I CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THIS. I have experimented alot with psychedelics and whilst I havent personally had Ego Death happen to me I've seen it happen to my now Ex boyfriend and another very close friend of mine. Dear EgoDeath person. DEAR GOD DON'T DO IT. Whatever you think ego death is, that it'll be a "transcendant" thing that will make life seem small and your anxiety slip away, you are badly mistaken and misunderstanding. Ego death kills all sense of self. You won't be "floating through the cosmos" you will still very much be trapped in your body, scared and afraid and without any sense of being at all. Not in a free spirited way, in a Hollow prison trapped in a body you don't know, in a world that doesn't make sense. If you have mental disorders already ego death is NOT what you want. You will literally forget what speaking is for and will have to relearn how to write. My ex boyfriend spent three months in intense psychological care and he never recovered fully and has intense psychological problems and onset paranoid psychosis triggered by EgoDeath. My other friend is doing well for himself now thank God, but he couldn't have proper conversations for a year and was scared of people. Please for the love of god. Don't. 😭 It's not glamorous. It won't fix your anxiety. It isn't an "escape". It's a prison.

As someone who has lost loved ones to drug addiction and had to move away from home because of my family getting into the same shit, nothing pisses me off more than people who think it's cute to glamorize and hype up drug usage. While testing should absolutely be done on drugs like marijuana and psychedelics, the amount of people who are fine with TELLING people to try psychedelics is disgusting. Drugs are drugs. They help some people, they can utterly destroy others. Thankfully most psychedelics aren't super hard drugs like heroin or meth or cocaine, but they can still have long-lasting, brain-damaging effects that could ruin your life. Fuck drug culture, honestly.
@richardsonIII2 жыл бұрын
@@nomoretwitterhandles I don't like drug culture or think any of it is particularly glamorous. I have lost friends and family to overdoses, alcoholism etc. I think harm reduction is a good thing. So I think the suggestions were meant to be more of a "go minimal, research, etc" if they're going to do this at all. At least for my comment. I don't think psychedelics are the panacea some make it out to be but I do know people who have had some success with microdosing for depression.
@nomoretwitterhandles2 жыл бұрын
@@richardsonIII Sorry if my point wasn't clear, but I said I do agree that drugs like marijuana and some psychedelics are worth researching. The problem is that people take "research" and translate it to "go the hell ahead and try it! see what happens!" No matter what the drug is (even prescribed), it is completely necessary to thoroughly understand what it does, what its side effects are, if the side effects are long term, and if the side effects are worth risking. Regardless, many of the reasons people take these drugs are purely mental. Medicating yourself can help you in the short term, but healing your brain will help you in the long term. I used to take a medication for my MDD, but it didn't do much, and given my trauma with drugs, I refused to raise my dosage. So I weaned off the medication and went to therapy. Lo and behold, I feel a lot better and a lot stronger (mentally). Mental problems cannot be fixed with physical solutions. I wish more people wouldn't give up so easily.

For the young person dealing with grief. I went through the same thing at your age. I lost an uncle and we were a very tight-knit family. The most important thing is to feel your feelings, give yourself and those grieving around you some grace. Grief is complicated. Sometimes you are emotionally wrecked. Other times you can be openly happy filled with good memories. Keep your uncle a part of your life and family with good memories. Save a place for him at holidays and family get-togethers. Eventually, the sharpness of the pain lessens, and only the warm memories remain. Hang in there, I am so sorry for your loss.

i suffer from pretty debilitating mental illness that doesnt seem to be curable through normal treatments and ive always wondered about microdosing MDMA for it. ive only tried it once but i had never felt better in my entire life. even after the high i felt like i was cured for about a month afterwards until things started to go back to normal. drugs can truly change the way mentally ill people view the world and its so scary but also so interesting. the studies done are insane. to the 2nd person in the advice seg - i know exactly how you feel. i would take kurtis's advice on talking to people who have similar mental struggles as you do and also have gone through the treatment, but also just trust your gut. i trust my gut in never trying acid or any hallucinogens even though i wish i could, i know its too dangerous for my mental state right now. i /would/ trust my gut on trying MDMA treatment if i had the chance. its so personal and i think trusting your gut is really the way to go. if you feel hesitant in anyway thinking it could potentially go wrong, id personally wait til you feel 100% confident. its a huge decision to make and you need to be in the right headspace for it, especially with hallucinogens.

For schools here in Chicago, the rural schools call or email, city schools email and tweet it. You can also find out on the news. Colleges email you and if you don't see the email you're walking to school and finding out it's closed lmao

I’m in high school and from Toronto. Since the recent snow and shit we had 2 snow days (not really because we had to do virtual classes still) . We have apps to talk directly to our teachers and they messages us about snow days. Also on social media, like either your school’s or school boards account. That was just my experience and what i’ve seen.

About the snow days, they still run it on the news but that’s not where most people find out. In my county, there’s a guy that basically sends a voicemail to everyone’s parents that plays a message telling us that’s school is cancelled. We also use Schoology for our schoolwork and they send an announcement through there as well. You made a joke about them tweeting about it, funny thing is they actually do that too. There’s a Twitter page with that voicemail dude where they announce snow closings.

TW: ew. Weird, but I have a story that somehow combines Canadian snowstorms and drinking blood 😬 We had a lot of snow two days ago at the place I live and I had to go to the pharmacy at that day. The pharmacy was just about under 10 minutes to walk from my house but because of the snow it took me much longer. Pharmacy (it’s a relatively small family business) was closed because nobody was able to get to work (I called them but stupidly only after getting there). Sad and alone, I started my journey back and slipped miserably on the freshly frozen ice under the snow, fell flat on my face, my nose started bleeding and I accidentally swallowed a lot of blood. After I came home, I got an upset stomach (because *blöd* ) which made me nauseous and my nose started bleeding again 😬
