I kinda wondered why this lovely, whimsical song lingered in my mind for decades. Sadly, it foreshadowed my life. I was quite affected by an incurable neuromuscular disease by my 40's, and had to go on SSDI about 5 years later, leaving my beloved paralegal career. I now change the lyrics to "don't GET to work no more." Working is a *huge* privilege! Now, at 64, I'm homebound, practically bedridden. I am not surrendered to this horrendous physical state. I refuse to give up! My medical intervention has been severely lacking except for one loyal neurologist and my dear primary care provider NP. Their hands are tied by insurance though in what they can do for me. 😔 I try to remember not to moan or cry about my situation -- that only makes me feel worse. I must stay positive so as to not lose the little strength I have left. I do believe the moonshadow, the light, God Himself, follows me, keeps me, and even guides me when I'm still enough to listen to Him. Then... I hopefully, heed His instruction. ❤

@@christophernicholls6067I have worked in communities that have many Muslim families. I have generally found people to be kind and decent, hard working, and loving and family oriented, though nothing is perfect, and every barrel (of all shapes and sizes) has its rotten apples.
