ചർച്ച പരിതാപകരമായിപ്പോയി. ശങ്കുവും, അഷരലിയും ഓകെ. മറ്റേ രണ്ടു മരവാഴകളെ ചർച്ചയ്ക്കു വിളിച്ചതു തന്നെ പരാജയത്തിനു കാരണം. രണ്ടു നേതാക്കളും വിഷയം എന്താണെന്നുപോലും മനസ്സിലാക്കാൻ കഴിവില്ലാത്തവരായി. 100 ൽ 20 മാർക്ക്‌ രണ്ടണ്ണത്തിനും.

ഒരു മണിക്കൂറോളം നീണ്ടുനിന്ന ഈ ചർച്ചയിൽ യുവജങ്ങളെ ബാധിക്കുന്ന പ്രശ്നങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു ശതമാനം പോലും ചർച്ച ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടില്ല എന്നുള്ളത് തന്നെയാണ് അടിസ്ഥാനപരമായ പ്രശ്നം. ഇതും രാഷ്ട്രീയക്കാർക്ക് കലഹിക്കാനുള്ള വേദിയായി. വർത്തമാന കാലത്തും ഭാവിയിലും നടപ്പിൽ വരുത്തേണ്ട മാറ്റങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റി അർത്ഥവത്തായ ചർച്ചകൾ നടത്തേണ്ടുന്നതിനു പകരം അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥ ചർച്ച ചെയ്തു സമയം കളഞ്ഞു.

The main reason for the present state of affairs of Kerala is the bankruptcy of political parties. A very few politicians have social commitment. Kerala is one of the costliest economies of India. To survive here, there are not many employment opportunities that give enough salary. Available opportunities are grabbed by bankrupt politicians through back door entry .

സഖാവേ 'ജോലി ഒന്നും ആയില്ലേ' എന്ന് നാട്ടുകാരുടെ ചോദ്യത്തിലെ പുച്ഛം ഈ കേരളത്തിൽ മൊത്തം ദശബ്ദങ്ങളായി അലയടിക്കാൻ കാരണം താങ്കളും ബലറാമും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന മുന്നണികൾ ഇവിടെ മാറി മാറി ഭരിച്ചു കുളമാക്കിയത് കൊണ്ടാണ്. നാളെ ബിജെപി (വരാതിരിക്കട്ടെ) വന്നാലും ഇതൊക്കെ തന്നെയാണ് ഈ നാടിന്റെ അവസ്ഥ. ഇരിക്കുന്ന സപ്രമഞ്ചത്തിൽ നിന്നു താഴെ ഇറങ്ങി രണ്ടറ്റവും കൂട്ടി മുട്ടാൻ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുന്ന ആൾകാരോട് ഒന്ന് സംസാരിച്ചാലെ അതു മനസിലാകൂ. അലാതെ എലാത്തിനും കൊടി നിറം നോക്കി ന്യായരീകരിക്കാനും. ഭാര്യക്ക് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ മുന്തിയ പണി ഒപ്പിക്ക്കാനുമല്ല പണി എടുക്കേണ്ടത്.
