@Taemien4 жыл бұрын
There's an implication that has never been resolved. In the first Zelda game you save the current Zelda. Then Zelda 2 takes place immediately after. You save Zelda's ancestor. What happens after that? There are two Princesses here. Does the original simply live a normal life in a new age, does the other Zelda step down to give her ancestor the crown? The personalities of both are unknown, so we can only guess what happens. Though this would give us an interesting bit of intrigue if they ever decided to continue the series with a Zelda 3. I doubt they would though, but its fun to speculate.

High difficulty seems to polarise audiences. Zelda II lovers adore the game for its high combat difficulty whereas haters loathe it for the exact same reason. I wonder if a mentality for acquiring skill through discipline divides these players

And being only 7 yrs. old at the time it was mostly our Dad’s or older brothers that were actually playing. But we absolutely loved watching our more experienced fathers and brothers make there way thru this cryptic game. And we didn’t have the internet for aid. At best we had school yard word of mouth coupled with Nintendo Power, Nintendo’s Gaming Guide and Electronic Gaming Monthly. And it was awesome. Getting thru this game with my Dad as a kid is still one of my favorite childhood memories. The only other game I spent hours upon days playing with my Dad as a kid was Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest. Another game that I have very fond memories both picking and playing with my Dad as a kid. Man I used to love going to Toys R Us’s gaming section back in the late 80’s with my Dad. I think link didn’t actually wake up the ancient Zelda, he freed her spirit and went on to live with the present Zelda. In uniting the Triforce he also purified it, allowing Gannon to not be restored for he was no longer bound to the Triforce of power. Impa then told link and Zelda of the sacred realm, and suggested they keep the Triforce there so it would not be misused. So they put the Triforce in the temple of light and sealed the door with the magial sword.

I thought this was going to be a backstory as to why the game was developed so radically different from the first, but either way I enjoyed it. Works as a decent "hands-off" guide for the game as well.

So whats interesting here is that it's stated that the first king of Hyrule had the triforce. The first king was heavily implied in Skyward Sword that is was *that* Link from that game after they start to settle on The Surface. Which would mean that the prince would have been that Link's son and *this* Zelda would have been his daughter

You have to get the key from the town first before you can beat palace 6 as there's no keys in the palace, but there are doors in palace 6. Well that is unless you speed run it and abuse the fairy spell.

I love Zelda 2. I've beaten all Zelda games to date, except those on the Philips CD-i system. While Zelda 2 is by far the easiest Zelda and one of the simplest NES games, it has always given me the most enjoyment. It was also the first game I ever completed back in 1988 when I was 9 years old.

Link literally just woke up some chick with the Triforce I'm not sure how he saved Hyrule by doing that. The game never said wake up zelda to save hyrule I mean saving it from who? Ganon's dead in this game

Hold off inserting any crystals until you're ready to beat the game; when your levels are maxed out any crystal will give you an extra life instead, so you can do a final tour to have lots of lives for the Great Palace.

He made one mistake when talking about the "Spell" spell. You actually get that spell in the hidden town you get the Magic Key in. The spell you get in the deserted town next to Three Eyed Rock is the "Thunder" spell, which you NEED to defeat the Thunderhawk in the Great Palace. He's impossible to beat without it.

Don't kill the final bosses till you get through the whole game and double back to kill them all systematically they are much easier this way.
@Imperatrix.Ekaterina5 жыл бұрын
Why would you do that? The only one that's even kind of hard is Barba, mostly because of the instant death lava. Horsehead in particular is incredibly easy and so is Carock so long as you have enough life to take a few hits (mostly from when he teleports right on top of you).

Imperatrix it’s so you can cheese the xp gains waiting to level up until it requires tons of xp for next up. Placing a crystal takes you to next level no matter what the amount is.

4:45 you would expect a water town to be named after Ruto who was a zora who are underwater creatures but instead they name it after a child from kokiri forest confusing I know but I don't think the folks at Nintendo had this all planned out when they made the first two games

The Trophy is actually an idol depicting a goddess, most likely Hylia.
@Ridley3695 жыл бұрын
Very doubtful that it's Hylia.
@russellharrell27475 жыл бұрын
Ridley369 do you know any other winged goddesses that aren’t part of a trinity? It’s hyrule, retconning it to Hylia makes more sense than all the towns being named for sages in a timeline that the hero of time lost to Ganondorf.
@cforevergaming5 жыл бұрын
@@russellharrell2747 Actually, that makes perfect sense if you think about it. Link failed, so it was the Sages that stepped up to seal Gannon away into The Dark World, making them the famous heroes that get towns named after them and Link a nobody.

D. Snodgrass still strange how all those Hylian maidens in ALttP are the descendants of a Goron, Zora and kokiri, none of which resemble hylians too well.

@@russellharrell2747 Not really that weird as we dont even know if the sages that appeared in the imprisoning war are the same ones from OoT. Assuming they are different who wore cloaks then the maidens could be descending from them do. However descendants also come in many shapes and forms
